The smell of peaches and sugar was strong in the air.
Wyvernkit couldn't stand being stuck inside all day. She was too weak to be outside all of the time, so inside she stayed. But she had to keep herself busy, so she decided to bake. Her closest family definitely knew that Wyvern baked quite a bit, but today she was feeling generous- at least more than usual. She had gathered some peaches from where she had them stashed, sugar, cinnamon, oats, vanilla, salt, flour. A gentle hum came from her mouth, the windows to the beach home open, both the scent of the baking crisp and the soft humming from her drifting on the wind. Wyvernkit's eyes were half open as she laid on the windowsill, waiting for the peach crisp to finish up. "speech" Re: sword's dance - open, dessert - VASS . - 04-09-2021 It would appear a stranger would be the first to taste the sweet smell on the air. Such an odd thing to be called, a stranger here. There were few that remembered him, and the statue of a scarred tiger such as he never made for a welcoming sight on most occasions. His presence loomed in such a way that never really escaped him, even as a medeci- healer that he was appointed to, Rey knew it only out of need. Vaas was the only one with any aptitude for the position before. The glades needed him, the glades needed him still, or was it the other way now? Things were twisted. Vaas felt lost, caught in the rapid pull and push of a tide, gasping for air. looking around and expecting to find familiar faces with every twist and turn. The absence is startling, a moon away and the once busy streets of his home felt almost vacant now in comparison. Most kept to their cozy little homes on the sands, Vaas felt... like an outsider now. All over again. Even the boardwalk, the concrete jungle he once ruled... It was hollow in comparison to the feeling of friends, family. It just made him want to try harder, be better. The kit was new, at least- new in the sense that Vaas doesn't remember them from before. He abandoned the thought as soon as it started- it wasn't good, to compare. The glades were his. He made the claim before he ever factored in it's leader's want. When Rhinestonestar walked up the boardwalk and asked for him, it was decided. THe tiger would protect what was his. The glades, this precious feeling, no matter how far away it feels now. It would return... wouldn't it? "Smells sweet" The tiger's tongue feels clumsy inside his maw. Dark jade eyes peeking out from the entranceway as he cautiously snuffs. Cautions about his welcome inside, but bold enough to engage, at least, for the moment. With all the ingredients required... A relatively foreign concept to the tiny hybrid. The cook on her mother's ship had been talented. Had always hummed shanties while she worked. But she cooked more than baked.

The sweet smell in the air confused Rowena. The tirone's webbed paws scrambled along, nose lifted in the air, actively sniffing to follow the trail. Sea-green hues large and puzzled. Easily slipping in past the much larger Vaas, seemingly without too much worry. She figured it'd be fine. If not, she'd back out but... Her interest had been piqued. "Wyvern?" The child called out, nose continuing to twitch and inhale deeply. "What're you doing?" Or actually, "what did you make?" Genuinely curious. © MADI Re: sword's dance - open, dessert - rhosmari - 04-10-2021 He was the adventurous type. The young kit hated to be locked up indoors, he wanted to go and explore things and see what there was to see within his own domain. But after the incident with the eagle and that weird lightning storm he had stayed inside to try and keep himself grounded. He didn't want to feel whatever that feeling was again and plus he had his crown. That was all he had really wanted anyway. As he left his room the smell of something sweet captured his attention. His maw parting slightly to take a whiff of it. He didn't much like sweets but he was curious of what it could be. Purple eyes shifted to gauge where he was going before he stepped into the next room and looked at the thing on the windowsill. There were also strangers here, his pelt fluffed up a bit and he slightly shuffled his small paws to be near his sister. "It looks good...." He finally spoke up then. Closing his blind gold eye for a moment he stuck his tongue out in thought of the situation. Maybe his sister would share with these two. He didn't want any himself but that was okay. It seemed everyone was being brought over by the same sweet smell that Drayden was being brought over for. Mostly out of curiosity, but as he drew closer to the source, he heard his stomach rumble. "It smells really good." He agreed.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: sword's dance - open, dessert - WINTERHYMNS P. - 04-14-2021 It would be a crime if Winterhymns Pendragon ever denied that he had a sweet tooth, he enjoyed to bake and cook for his children not minding it at all. He loved them all very dearly and making sure they were all cared for was his priority or at least, he made sure it was before going to do any of his duties. A soft breath leaving his maw as he walked out from his room only to head downstairs at the smell of peach crisp, a purr slipping from his maw and what the legate hadn't expected was to find several others at his door. And he was looking a mess! His fur completely ruffled and sticking in every direction, he could feel the heat rising to his face from embarrassment but he was already in the range of their sight so it was much too late to retreat now. How embarrassing. "It smells lovely, Wyvernkit." Winterhymns would hum to his daughter with a slow nod of his cranium before his eyes locked onto those that were at the door as he added "It seems to have attracted a few curious souls." An amused smile on his maw with a eyebrow raised at all of those that were there, he shook himself out briefly before using a paw to smooth down the fur on his chest. He stretched a bit only to draw close to both of his children affectionately flicking Goldenkit's shoulder with the tip of his tail then nuzzling Wyvernkit's forehead "You have quite the talent, my love." |
