The leopardess walked back and forth, moving with nervous energy. Uncertainty and unsure of the decision she was making here. She had personally never been a part of any if these groups. They seemed hostile or at least that was the stories she had been told growing up. They were dangerous, they needed to stay away from them at all cost. But well, she figured there had to be more than that right? These animals living here couldn't all be feral beasts looking to eat kits and cubs. Just seemed wrong but all the stories she had been told made her wonder. After swimming for the majority of the way she ended up on the island that she was told to keep away from. Man, was her father going to be angry if he found out. But she honestly just wanted to know. Two colored eyes wandered and looked across the beautiful terrain before something odd happened. It was a strange feeling, almost like everything in her being stopped. Everything seemed...weird. Like time was stretching itself. The colors were changing and warping and then her body just fell like a log. Collapsing against the soft sands of the beach. A war began, pink and blue swirling and battling. Pressing against one another in a torrent of aura. Splashing and tearing only to reform. At one point they melded together only to split apart so violently that a dribble of blood slipped out of the unconscious leopard's nose. It seemed to go on forever before one color grew larger, cowering the other into a corner. Pushing it back and back further still till it was little more than a speck. Then eyes opened, a cough, a wheezing breath. Confusing swimming in those bright colored eyes. A strain to get up, limbs sore and tired. Where was she? What was going on? A hiss of pain as a venomous voice echoed in her skull. Her head. "What.....?" The smell of blood was potent and she lifted a paw touch her nose but stopped to stare at the appendage. The majority of the time, he only left the temple to go and seek out herbs, or find himself some food. On occasion, he would even head to the tavern for a round of cards or two. Once in a while, though, the soothsayer did actually leave with the intent to interact with others. In this particular case, he had decided to head over to his mama and Diya's home, figuring he could talk with them for a while and maybe see Vayne, or his other siblings. As usual, however, he took his satchel full of herbs and supplies with him, just in case. He rarely ever left the temple without said supplies, and found himself regretting it every time that he did.
It seemed that, this time, having his satchel with him was once again a good thing. He had been heading across the beach towards his mama's house, when the scent of blood reached him. A sigh left him almost immediately, his ears flattening as he adjusted course, heading towards the smell to see what was going on. Much to his own surprise, however, he didn't find a member of The Typhoon at the end of the trail. Instead, he stumbled upon a very confused looking Sojourn. If he had known who she was, he probably would've reacted to her presence with irritation and disdain, eager to run her directly off of the territory. In this case, though, he had no idea of who he was, so his blue gaze reflected only curiosity and faint irritation. With his tail flicking behind him, Roan turned and reached into his satchel, pulling out one of the several clean rags he had for blood cleanup. He then turned back towards Sojourn, holding the rag out to her as he muttered, "...Here, use this to clean up the blood." It didn't seem like she had any major injuries, and he hoped that the nose bleed wasn't being caused by anything more serious. Detecting just how out of her element Sojourn was, he waited until she had taken the rag before he explained, "You're on the territory of The Typhoon, in case you didn't know. My name is Roan, and I'm a healer here... do you remember your name?" He wouldn't be surprised if she was another amnesiac, considering how baffled she seemed. Although, if that did turn out to be the case, he had to wonder if her memories would return gradually, or if she was out of luck, like Goldie seemed to be.

Re: only one - open; joiner?? - rhosmari - 03-24-2021
Her eyes slowly lifted up from staring at her paw. The appendage dropping a she tried to focus on the approaching footsteps that were coming her way. The haze was still clouding her mind and she tried to take a deep breath but she felt clogged for some reason. As if there was something blocking her. A voice soon came with those footsteps and she had to focus then, making herself fully look at the individual that was before her. He was, he almost seemed familiar and she tilted her head a bit as if trying to decipher some riddle that had just been presented to her before he reached out to give her something. A rag. That's right, her nose was bleeding though she didn't know why it was bleeding. Slowly and hesitantly she took the item and she pressed it against her snout, looking at the swirling colors that became dyed there. Breathing slowly she would look down at the ground and he spoke once more. Telling her that this was the Typhoon. It was that that she paused and looked back up at him. Questioningly. ''The Typhoon. Uh, where exactly is that?'' Her own voice startled her and she had to take a moment before she shook her head. Oh, right, a name. He had asked for a name and she furrowed her brow in thought. There were multiple bouncing around in her had, one thrusting itself in front of another and another desperately trying to surface against all odds. But which one was the right one? ''I'm not certain. I...I guess just call me whatever. I'm...I just don't remember right now. My head hurts and I think I was trying to get her for some reason. It's nice to meet you, Roan.'' Her eyes closed for a moment then as she tried to piece all of this together, the smell of sea salt finally getting through. She hated it. Vayne had barely known Goldenluxury before she lost her memories, though she had been very young when Goldie had her memories. But the Goldie who didn't have her memories was the Goldie she knew the most, no one else, so she couldn't relate to some others being saddened by Goldenluxury's amnesia. Vayne didn't know what it was like to lose memories but it definitely didn't seem like fun, though in a way she wished she could get rid of the memories of her mother. "Roan will fix you up." Vayne's chipper voice was... probably not welcome in this situation, but she wanted to try and make things less gloomly. Being hurt was never fun in her experience, though it wasn't like she had a lot of experience in that field. "My name's Vayne Cipher-Vantas, you're welcome to stay here for a couple of days if you want. Just until you feel better, maybe?" It was more so a suggestion than a statement.[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: only one - open; joiner?? - roan ; - 03-25-2021 「 NOW THESE DAYS ARE GONE, I'M NOT SO SELF ASSURED 」

This particular case sure was an interesting one, even though Roan couldn't offer all that much substantial help. There was no herb he could give Sojourn that would just magically wipe away her amnesia, but he could at least help with the pain. As he began to search through the satchel he brought with him everywhere, he explained softly, "The Typhoon's territory is an archipelago that's connected right off the mainland. I'm not sure where exactly you came from, but you didn't seem to come from the usual routes..." He gestured back in the direction of the bell, as well as the line of tracks that most traveled across. However, it wasn't unheard of for swimmers to reach them, either. It didn't seem to occur to him that she could've come from the Coalition, considering their new territory up in the mountains seemed so distant at this point. Either way, he didn't seem too concerned with where Sojourn had come from. Instead, he was shoving feverfew in her direction, giving a brief and clear order, "Here, eat this. It should help to ease some of the pain in your head." He would've offered poppy seeds, but his stores were getting seriously low, and he needed to save them in case anything else happened.
As Vayne approached, Roan seemed to pause, the older feline finally processing the rest of what Sojourn's presence met. It probably was a good idea to keep her around for a couple of days, considering her state. Shoving an amnesiac out into the wilds probably wouldn't end too well for her. So, he fell silent in a moment of thought, before he nodded and added on, "As Vayne said... you can stay here, until you feel confident of what you might want to do about your situation. You can also come with me to the temple we have here, if you want me to check you over more thoroughly. I don't know what caused your memory loss, but you may have some kind of concussion." He gestured with a paw towards his own head, as if to drive the point home. Figuring out if someone had a concussion could be a difficult task to pin down for sure, but it was probably best not to let her doze off again until he was able to. There was certainly the chance that her amnesia could've been caused by mental or emotional trauma, but he liked to rule out physical medical reasons, before turning to anything else.

Re: only one - open; joiner?? - rhosmari - 03-26-2021
She was trying to pay attention. Trying to make sense of what they were saying. A young one spoke of Roan fixing her up, giving a name, saying she should stay till she was feeling better. The first told her that this was a archipelago and one that connected to the mainland via train tracks. Slowly her eyes shifted over to where he motioned toward them. A gate, and a bell. Her head tilting sharply as if expecting something else to be there. Something decaying, horrendous, oozing visceral,...leaking. STOP IT! Her paws quickly rushed up to grab at her own head, eyes widening for a moment as tears began to spill down her maw. Her breathing sped up and confusion swelled rapidly. Sending her on a roller coaster of emotions that spiraled in the pit of her stomach. She tried to pull back but it grasped her and held her firmly. "Please....please....I don't know what this is.." The face of a lion rearing its head. Pain lancing through her body, her heart breaking. Once and then twice. Squeezing her eyes closed she forced her paws down and lifted her head up. Taking a deep breath and immediately and almost violently she grabbed the herbs and shoved them into her mouth. Muttering a broken thank you. A desperate one. "Please help me..." She almost begged as she tried to keep her gaze from being unnerving. But one soul was winning. |
