MY BACK FEELING MUCH BETTER, I SUPPOSE - bubblegum - 03-17-2021

DEAR FRIEND as you know,  your flowers are withering
your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER,
BURIED DEEP UNDER THE WATER.
It had been a few days since the female's own encounter with Caesar, the burns along her chest wrapped up as needed and body plenty capable of moving on its own. Though Roan would certainly see to it that she would not go anywhere alone, given the fact that the savannah cat was still out freely roaming wherever he thought suitable, and he likely still very much wanted to kill Goldenluxury Roux, or something along those lines. She didn't really know. She didn't know Caesar. From what she'd seen though, he hadn't been all that bad. Perhaps harsh, blunt, but the memories he'd shown to her...he didn't have to do such a thing. The words he'd shown her. It was difficult to make sense of it all, but she'd a few days to process it. A few days to go over everything she could. "You're not selfish. People are just cruel," that was what he had said to her before. He seemed to have meant it. But something must have changed since then. Something she didn't know about. She remained cautious in her opinion on him. That was the best way she could put it.

The caracal was hesitant in her actions at the moment, unsure if this was even appropriate of her to do. But the feeling of the blood, the fear, the teeth...they remained in her head. She could vaguely tell that the jaglion was involved with it somehow. And Deldrach had mentioned fighting off Caesar, when she'd lost her eye just before, to protect her. She felt herself being pulled towards her regardless of her worries. Maybe it would be safer... Maybe they both could use the company.

Whatever it was, the female would let her paws lead her to Deldrach's porch, Derya, her macaw, on her shoulder. She at least wouldn't leave without the parrot to help Roan feel a bit better. Besides, it helped her a little bit too. She quietly stood there for a moment, looking around. It was evening, sun setting. She raises a paw, and knocks on the female's door.

It was a scent thick and reminiscent of her own childhood. The stew simmering on the firestove, her eyes closed and body resting on the trap of pillows in the sunken part of her living room. The recent events had her off of her rocker- it was time for rest and relaxation, to recount her problems, to reflect on what could have gone better. She had even started the chase, but couldn't finish it. And she lost her eye.

A grimace came across her muzzle as she recognized that. Deldrach picked her head up, sighing thickly. And, as she did, she found a new scent on the breeze drifting in her front windows- Goldenluxuries. She winced gently, turning her head towards the door, hoping no knock would come to it. Guilt riddled her. Just like the past, she couldn't prevent the injuries that came to her. She couldn't help her. And Deldrach felt at fault for that. But the knock came, and she shook her head slowly.

She stepped to the door, opening it. She blinked at Goldie- first at the woman, then the bird on her shoulder, then back to the woman. She cleared her throat. "It's good to see you up and around. Did you.. want to come inside?" She questioned, gently gesturing to the plush and comfortable living space.
