Time for another one of these things, huh? The last time Roan had held a Necro Mambas meeting was several months ago, and unfortunately, both of the new colleagues he had welcomed onto his team back then were now gone, in some capacity. It was frustrating, but time went on, and the male knew that he needed some new sages, hence why he had held the whole tryouts in the first place. He supposed he could've waited to announce his choices until his mama held her own meeting, but he really didn't see the point, considering he didn't think his opinions would be drastically changing anytime soon. Better to just announce it now, and let the both of them get fully settled.

Much like last time, the siamese chose to hold his little "meeting" outside of the temple, rather than at the usual meeting place, since he still wouldn't feel comfortable holding it there. He couldn't really ever imagine himself as captain, and to stand in a place where both Goldie and his mama had now stood... it didn't seem right. So instead, he made his way outside of the temple, heaving himself up onto one of the nearby large rocks – it took a bit more effort than last time, considering his swollen belly. However, he still made it up, turning and calling out, "Necro Mambas, gather around for a medical meeting! Everyone else is free to join as they please, but this'll be for medical things, so don't expect me to be announcing anything as big as Roxie's news." It felt odd to refer to his mama as "Roxie," but it didn't feel proper to call her mama while he was holding a meeting type event.

With a soft sigh, Roan launched straight into it, "First off... the most important announcement of this whole thing. My two new sages who will join me on the medical team and hopefully become soothsayers in their own right one day. Those two sages will be [member=48]goldenluxury[/member] and [member=12664]Seabound Roux.[/member] The both of you show a passion for learning and medicine, and I'm sure you'll do well in your new role." Goldie hadn't technically said that she wanted to take up the title of sage, but... it felt right, for her to be one. Hell, she had practically already been helping him out like one ever since her head injury. He knew it was partially just her wanting to feel useful following everything that had happened, but she also seemed to have a genuine love for the medical field, and that was what he needed. As for Sea... the other had similarly shown a passion for healing, and he seemed eager to learn, which was good enough for Roan.

With his tail flicking behind him, the pregnant soothsayer then moved on, knowing full well his next bit of news wasn't nearly as important, "Additionally... we've got Rhinestonestar and Ares visiting from the Palm Glades, looking for a bit of extra tutoring. I'll personally be helping them out, along with my new sages, but anyone within the Necro Mambas can also offer to lend a hand if they'd like to." Might as well lighten the workload a bit for all of them, even if Rhine and Ares didn't seem like particularly difficult students.

With a light hum leaving him, the draconic feline then leapt down from the rock he had been perched atop, being careful not to hurt himself on the way down. Once he was on solid ground again, he muttered to the small gathered crowd, "Anyways, that's pretty much it. Like I said, not anything too exciting, but I am glad to have Goldie and Seabound on my team. Meeting dismissed, and all that." He never meant for these meetings to go particularly long, and he was fairly sure everyone preferred it that way.[/td][/tr][/table]

DEAR FRIEND as you know,  your flowers are withering
your mother's gone insane, your leaves have drifted away.
but the clouds are clearing up
and i've come reveling, burning incandescently,
like a bastard on the burning sea.

YOU'RE JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER,
BURIED DEEP UNDER THE WATER.
The past two months had been slow in many ways, but incredibly eventful to the female. Living life by resting, learning, and socializing may seem like a very normal way to spend one's day, but it was still all quite new to her. And some were still better than others, it only getting consistently better for her head as time went on. Despite it, she still had a long way to go and she knew this. She'd accepted it. But she still wanted to do her best and help out where she could. She found quite quickly that sitting around by herself with her lost mind was not a way she enjoyed spending her time. She had been using up all the resources, and time of everyone, especially Roan and Rosemary, and she'd been desperate to find some way to try and relieve their stress, to thank them for their help towards her. To show them that they were appreciated, and that they need not work themselves to death. And ultimately, it would seem, listening as they described herbs and finding them herself would end up being the best and easiest way for her to perform such a gesture of gratitude.

It felt natural, to jump into the world of medicine. It was something she'd been surrounded by as she rested at the temple, her nose filled with the scent of herbs, and constantly having them shoved in her own face to make sure she wasn't getting any worse. It felt good, to be useful, and she wanted to continue doing so, the best she could. She did it out of a sense of duty, out of purpose, out of appreciation. And she would continue to do so, only wishing to make things better for the sake of Roan and the rest of her family and crewmates.

So, when she'd hear her name announced as one of the newest sages, alongside her son, her body would almost seem to freeze for a moment. Her, as a sage? She'd not even formally tried out. Goldie seems unsure by her expression, blinking to Roan, then to her paws on the ground. She wasn't sure she could do a great job. She still had days where she woke up with migraines, still got overwhelmed in large crowds, had only just barely gone out of the territory for the first time since waking up. There was still so much healing and growing she had to do. But, she wouldn't refuse. She was honored, grateful still that he would consider her for such a position. To think that she was good enough to assist him officially and dedicate her time to such a task. She would look back up slowly towards Roan. "Th-...Thank you, Roan. 'll do m' best."

She was glad, too, to hear that he'd chosen Seabound as well. The idea of training alongside her son felt good, made her feel warmer inside.
