I DON'T CARE WHO I MIGHT HURT ALONG THE WAY, I'M FUCKING SINKING
Keeping himself separated from the other animals at Palm Glades was simple enough. Not like they went out of their way to talk to him. Most likely it was the impression that he gave when he arrived with his father. The disdain he held for having to come here and then he had to apologize. Not like it made him like the circumstances anymore than previously. But he had kept his muzzle shut. Just to ease the tensions with his dad. He was all that he had anyway. Odd colored orbs surveyed the home that they had picked at the Boardwalk. Bland and neutral but it was at least warm and cozy. He liked it for the fact that he had his own room. With a light yawn the youth pulled himself from his bedding and he shook himself, stretching had tall and skinny frame before he arched his back a bit. He wanted to try and catch something, breakfast most like and he left out of the home without a word.

He hasn't explored much of the area yet, and being left to his own devices meant he had all the time in the world to do so. So he walked, leaving the unfamiliar territory behind for more unfamiliarity. As he trotted his eyes noticed the elevation and the way in which it increased. The hill that he thought he had found was more than that. The wind seemed to sweep across the tall grasses and he narrowed his gaze as he came to the top. Cliffside. He breathed in the salty air before he sighed an closed his eyes. To him he felt like he had lost everything and he just didn't understand the choice of it. Perhaps he was too young and needed to learn to see it. But it irked him. The borzoi huffed before he tore his head away from the  view and at a sight he was more intrigued with. A bird. A falcon to be exact. He parted his jaws and his monochrome figure crouched low. He had hunted birds before. Those of many different shapes and colors. He figured this would be no different.

So he sized it up. The falcon seemed preoccupied with something, a rustling in the grass. A small vermin peeking its head out. The bird dived down, the canine leapt up like a bullet. His long snouted opening up to snap jaws around the midsection of the avian. As he fell the bird struggled of course and he winced as talons nicked him. But once on the ground he was the master and the decider of the bird's fate. Sharply he wretched the neck putting and end to the struggling. Making a face he spat out feathers before licking his jaws. Not a bad kill if he thought so but he could always improve in method. "I guess I can use the feathers for something. Throw the rest to whoever."

Drayden and Sauvignon had only interacted once, and that one time was during the night when Ares was having a moment. Sauvignon had made a rather distasteful comment, at least in the kid's mind, and unfortunately that's what Sauv had as a first impression. It was funny how Drayden didn't like how some might consider him weak on first impression based off solely of his twisted paw, and yet here he was judging a stranger for how gruff he seemed.

Drayden was taking a stroll when he saw Sauvignon leap up to catch a bird and, not knowing who it was, decided to go over and see what was going on. "Hey, that was a nice..." The snow leopard began his compliment as he neared Sauvignon and his kill, before trailing off once he realized who it was. "... kill." He finished his sentence rather awkwardly, a frown on his face now.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

He had started to pluck some of the vivid red feathers from the creature when he suddenly jerked back. He blinked his eyes a little as he stared at the feathers. No, they hadn't been dripping. He breathed out slowly before he moved a bit closer to the bird. But his whole attitude had shifted. He didn't want it anymore and he wasn't going to take it with him. Though he slowly raised his head as he heard someone talking and coming closer to him. The creature that came up was someone he had seen around. Someone he had never given two thoughts about. The way he ended his sentence made his two toned eyes narrowed a bit. But he understood it. He wasn't the most...friendly canine around. He still had his misgivings about the place. Not one to mask his displeasure because to him faking happiness was dumb. Still he didn't see a reason to be gruff about anything currently. He was mainly just tired. "Thanks...." He began quietly before he looked to the bird.

For a moment longer he didn't say anything before he sighed. He should at least try to be friendly in a place he didn't want to be. He couldn't change the decision of his father's making so he merely glanced back over to Drayden. He didn't know his name. Great. "You can, um, have the bird if you want. I'm not going to use it and I don't like stringy meat." All lies. Horrible terrible lies but it wasn't like the other would know that. "I'm....Sauvignon." The borzoi muttered out almost like an afterthought. But it was polite to introduce oneself.

Drayden could tell that Sauvignon didn't want to talk to him, and quite frankly, he wasn't too sure if he wanted to either. "I'm fine, thanks." The snow leopard replied, shaking his head. "Name's Drayden Cipher, for whatever that's worth." He mumbled the last bit, not sure whether or not Sauvignon knew his mother. Aphra had... quite the reputation back in The Typhoon, and considering Palm Glades were allies with them, it could have traveled. But what did he know? Nothing.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
