Monster no Longer / Joining - SirDio - 02-12-2021

/// Nakeed post because school computer iffy///

A gentle grunt left the drake as she hoisted herself up on the spear, dark grey scales shimmering in the sunlight that hit the edge of the swamp. You wanted to see the world? I'll carry you until I die. She hummed, looking at the bag that sat against her chest, sand-like contents hidden from view. Sighing, she turned her gaze to the border. A heavy scent lay upon it, signifying a group. Interested, she tapped on a nearby tree. "Hello. This scent here at the border is heavy enough to determine a dwelling, I'd like to join." Her voice was cut, cold, commanding. She wasn't a general, she had to remind herself that.

The presence of someone new on the border filled Aurum with a sense of unease, even if he wished that it wasn't so. With the recent visit from The Coalition, and the state that Elsweyr had returned from The Pitt in, the luminary couldn't help but be a little paranoid. Still, considering Steel didn't carry the scent of any major group, and she had stopped on their border, she didn't seem as though she was a threat - or at least, not an immediate one.

The golden tiger approached slowly, his growing belly weighing him down slightly as he traversed the territory. He knew it wouldn't be too long until the cubs came, and he couldn't help but feel grateful for that. It meant that he wouldn't be putting them in danger if things came to blows with their enemy groups sometime soon. Sighing, the archangel sat down on a semi-dry log before he spoke, his head tilting to one side, "Hello there... you're free to join Tanglewood if you're peaceful and willing to help, but do you think we can get your name? Mine is Aurum, and I'm the luminary around here - the leader." He made sure to clarify, knowing well that not every loner knew Tanglewood's terminology.

ATBASH CIPHER
you laugh and smile at me, but you don't see a thing !
With everything going on, Tanglewood as a whole had a right to be cautious of strangers at their borders. Fortunately, though, the drake that was there now seemed to be relatively peaceful and wasn't showing any signs of aggression; at least, not to Atbash. The savannah came to stand next to Aurum, casting him a glance which appeared to say, You shouldn't be out here like this. She was mostly worried about his children more so than his well-being, but that in of itself was a concern too. "Hi, welcome." Atbash chirped, looking at Steel now. "My name's Atbash Cipher."

The sight of a pregnant tiger caused Steel to narrow her gaze, already clenched paw tightening around the spear. "Hello. I am Comma- uh.. Steel Versach-Cruss." She strained her voice at the last name she carried, but shook her head. "I like to think I'm pretty peaceful unless I'm messed with. Demons run when the peacekeepers go to war." she smiled, moving her spear from one paw to the other.

Turning her face to Atbash, she dipped her head. "Hello." then she looked back at Aurum, specifically at his belly. "You're carrying. It's unwise to be out and about, risking the young." She stated bluntly, using a clutched talon to scratch her neck.
