The greenhouse, perhaps, is where Savah was most comfortable with spending time in. Warm, quiet- save for the gentle burble of the fountain and croaks of frogs and insects- and, above all, empty of people. Her ears twitched and rotated, hearing the door open and close. Her head turned for a moment, the beanie-clad she blinking. She shook it off, however, knowing very well that other people did exist outside of those doors, and it wasn't as if she owned the greenhouse. A gentle huff left her as she tended specifically to a mint plant, eyeing the dirt about it's base.
That's when the wail arose within the greenhouse, the running and pattering of someone's paws, and the crying thereafter. Savah stiffened up, scrambling towards the source of all of the nose, her eyes quickly shifting between the child and the frog hopping 'after' her. Savah's ears flattened, and carefully she called to the child- "Don't scream! It's.. it's more afraid of you then you are of it!" Savah's paws reached out, stretching her smaller body and catching the frog. It squirmed in her paws, before freezing as she sat back against her haunches. Sitting there, she observed the frog. She knew well it was less likely to be poisonous- for Ursa's sake, they lived in the mountains. A soft sigh left her muzzle, looking towards Wren before blinking gently. "How'd you get in here, anyways? Most people aren't up this early." "savah's right, little one, it's more scared of you than you are of it, though you are pretty frightened.", she would murmur in a soft soothing voice, attempting to touch her nose to her daughter's head.turning her attention back to savah, she gave a warm smile, "i'm not exactly sure why little wren would be here this early aside from the beauty that this place offers. i ah, i fell asleep here last night, looking after my lilies.", she would laugh in soft embarrassment, mind flashing back to the months ago that she had been gifted her seeds by her husband, one. flustered slightly, she shook herself with a rustle of her wings, settling back to a calm demeanor. "well, when baalal talks to us about giving you a mentor, why don't you ask them for a mentor that knows a bit more about herbs darling?", she would murmur, having remained silent for the majority of the conversation. she had been teaching her daughter how to identify which plants and herbs were edible, that could be eaten, and the ones that would kill or seriously harm the one who tries to eat them. |
