FOXES HUNT THE HOUNDS ; open, weekly task, hunting party - Suiteheart - 05-15-2018

When she had been given this task, Suiteheart was admittedly worried. She could not recall if she had ever hosted a hunting patrol. It had been one of those boxes on her To-Do List that she never checked off simply because she had never needed to complete it. Times were changing though, and the girl needed to change with them.

In all honesty, the only thing really holding her back were two things. One, she had always hunted alone. She preferred her own company in these situations, counting on only herself and worrying about only herself. Two, in her polar bear form, she often hunted large game. The Clanmates she lived with usually went after small creatures. It would definitely be something to work around, that was for sure, but she was not above trying.

Standing in the middle of the Grand Cirlce, the ursine called, "Hey, Ascendants. The food supply is looking a lil' low, so I'm holding a hunting patrol. If you're interested, see me. We leave for The Canopy in a few minutes." Best not to sit around idly, was it?

As Margaery arrived, she couldn't help but wonder why exactly she was here. The food that her clanmates relied upon was far different from the feline blood that she needed to survive and consuming their mundane prey would ultimately result in this body's demise. Perhaps she was lulled in by Suiteheart's mere presence- innately terrified by the bear but unable to keep away out of principle. Whatever the reason, there was no backing out now.

[color=#b14767]"I'll come along," She offered. If anything, she was a skilled killer and could be a valuable asset in taking down some of the larger prey they might pursue. She just hoped that Suite, for whatever reason, wouldn't be opposed to her decision to join. Her lungs were terrible, yes, but she had been resting enough to say with confidence that she could do this. At this point, she didn't have much of a choice.

The odds of Bastille having gone off on another patrol or round of hunting within the next half hour or so were pretty high anyways. Might as well join Suite and Margy and hope that even if it did end up just being the two of them, things didn't dissolve into marital drama. The two seemed relatively good about keeping their little squabbles private, showing only signs of tension and of something happening in public, but still. He honestly doubted his presence would register as reason to keep things on the down-low, and Bastille wasn't much of a marriage counselor, here.

"I'll come," he greeted with a yawn as he joined them, figuring he may as well risk it. Others were likely to join them anyway and all that shit.

When Margaery strolled forth to volunteer, Suiteheart was, admittedly surprised. She knew Margaery hunted for the same reasons as anyone else in this little Clan of theirs, but she often did it differently. Everything about vampirism was so vastly different than the norms of the mundane with which Suite resided. Don't get her wrong, she was happy she didn't have to deal with all her poor wife had to. She was also incredibly pleased her wife was making an effort. It brought a smile to her lips.

"Of course," the polar bear said with a nod. She'd be happy to have her wife along on this little expedition. Perhaps this could help mend a few broken things as well.

Turning to Bastillepaw as he arrived, Suire was equally happy to see him. She enjoyed his company, that much was certain. She figured the boy was probably also skilled in hunting as he was often on patrols for such an activity. "Happy to have you, Basty."

If Bastillepaw was worried she and Marg's martial problems would spill out on this trip, he would be sorely mistaken. Suite and Marg typically discussed these things behind closed door or through their bond, seldom letting it leak into the lives on their Clanmates. She would not deny that their fights did sometimes read clearly upon their faces, but not today. No, today would be good for all parties.
