ODDS ARE YOU WON'T LAST TOO LONG | intro - SUNKIT ! - 01-05-2021
Staying inside is so BORING. Sunkit loves his family to death, yes, but even he needs some other company or anything else at all to hold his attention. Plus, his siblings have apparently already gone out adventuring without him! Sunkit, being the last one to experience something? Uh, no fair!
Luckily, the tiger cub doesn’t need them to have fun. Less than five minutes of exploring and he’s discovered a new playmate - a little ladybug flitting about the outside of the house. His first enemy! He immediately drops into a crouch and tucks in his wings, wide eyes tracking the insect as it lands several feet in front of him. Wait for it, wait for it, he thinks to himself, tail twitching in anticipation. Now!
With a growl, he darts forward (does not almost trip over his paws) and leaps toward his unsuspecting opponent. “Ha! Gotcha!” he declares triumphantly, cupping his paws in front of him. If he moves to check underneath them, the ladybug will have the opportunity to escape. Doesn’t matter, ‘cause Sunkit is positive he’s got it captured. “Now, beg me to spare you!” It’s just a stupid bug and Sunkit knows it can’t speak to him. Duh. Still, he’s having too much fun - surely he’s the best ladybug hunter Tanglewood’s ever seen.

Recalled only in moments subject to breaks he had hastily filled with fictionalised details his own exploration beyond the walls of his home, unimpeded for most part. Had he bore the capacity for such may well tempered his recall beneath sorrow, longed for those days, yet, as pleasant had some of it been, other days had were tainted with terror. Best left behind, days of a youth he was still within discarded, taken the mantle he had been given. Such would not minimise his connection to newest additions, however, his love a gentle thing, a warmth cradled in his chest and tended so it may never wilt.
Outside had Salvia set himself some time prior, lost for he lacked a purpose, new to his days of training and his teacher struggling with her own affairs, enjoying the weak sunlight. Disturbed the light doze he had begun to fall into by the sudden exclamation speaking of excitement, forward swivelling round ears. Sweeping curl of a smile decorated his lips as realisation settled, a brief snort of laughter pulled from it. Adored all of those within their expanding family but somewhat preferred the ever exuberant Sunkit, though so too was New held in a similar high regard.
With no lack of noise abandoned his resting place, heavy the steps drawing him forth until he may occupy the place before Sun peering inquisitively at his paws. "It seems we have a mighty hunter in the family," warmth about gentle words, head slowly shifting to one side. "I'm sure dad will be extremely jealous."
