a beginning - open; introduction - rhosmari - 01-05-2021 Soft peach colored eyes watched a line of sunlight as it slipped through the cracks of an slightly opened door. Shadows blurring as things passed by and he continued to stare, blinking rarely before he finally parted his jaws and allowed a gentle yawn to leave his throat. It was as silent as he was and he sniffled softly before pushing onto petite paws. There was nothing to do in the house and he wanted to peek outside, just see what everyone was doing before he crept his way back into the house once again. With a little bumble the young tiger quietly made his way to the door, afixing his teeth into the wood and straining to pull at it. It barely moved but with a few more tugs here and there he managed to widen the gap, letting in more of that sunlight. Voices came to him then and he pulled his oddly curved inward ears forward, tilting his head a bit as he pushed his head through the gap. It was not the best method to get out but he wiggled and squirmed, hips getting caught for a short moment before he popped out and into the world. There was so much going on that he felt over stimulated immediately. Gaze trying to follow one person then another and another. His gaze was rapidly moving and his jaws parted as if he wanted to say something but his throat only released air before he began to tumble his way carefully after someone. Who it was he didn't know but he wanted to know where they were going. His pale and cream colored figure paused as he saw the stone slab and he sniffed, nose twitching before he wiggled a little and carefully made his way over to it. Tiny paws scraped and scrambled trying to get up there but there was no real way for him to pull his own weight against gravity. Instead he was exhausted and slowly sat down, playing with a few leaves that had fallen near his location. Each taken their turn, assured of safety as the number of those beneath the name of Kingmaker expanded, seemingly with each day another located or welcomed into the fold, yet most surprising this one. Among even their rabble, a rather mixed bag of variety beyond knowledge, apart set Opaline. Quiet and mindful, one beset by too much and not prone to acting out when left unsupervised. As with any adoration bloomed in his chest, rooted there and refused removal, yet it was tainted where this particular child was concerned. A worry, the quiet notion befouled may he be. Too similar they by half when Salvia was of his age, too soon his innocence taken and he gnawed at the worry Opaline may experience the same. Such thoughts far from his mind in that moment, vision tracing broken edges, the smoothed artifact of a time long gone looked upon with narrowed eyes. Ruined now, beneath an invasive touch uprooted featureless face, rubble left in shallow bowl that spoke of the statue once occupying the fountain. Upward paw traversed, against chest moving though long gone the minor cuts inflicted. Short cut his pondering, reminiscing over days that seemed well past but were located in the last month, attention diverted as claws scraped against marble. A smile settled on his lips and Salvia offered a warm huff, encircling the odd central landmark. Small was he compared to most, yet dwarfed the cub he knew as brother, reduced his size as Sal crouched by Opaline. "Whatcha doing down here." Forth paw creeping, flipped to allow mottled paws to show, a silent invitation for assistance in his abandoned climb if Opaline so wished to try once more. Re: a beginning - open; introduction - SUNKIT ! - 01-06-2021
Sunkit isn't as interested in the other members of Tanglewood as Opalinekit seems to be. The vast majority of them are strangers to him and to be surrounded by so many unfamiliar faces is... a bit intimidating, not that the cub would admit to that. Aurum is really the boss of ALL of them?! Well, his father is basically the best ever. This trepidation is why, when he spots a couple of recognizable figures among the crowd, he wastes no time in rushing to their sides. His curious gaze momentarily flicks to the big rock thingy Opalinekit was just trying to climb before he fixes his attention to his colorful sibling. "What'd you give up so easy for?" he taunts, the curve of a soft smile proof that he's only teasing Opalinekit. Then, he sees Sal's extended paws out of the corner of his eye and can't help the resulting spike of jealousy that instantly shifts his mood. Hey, I wanna help! "Uh, you can stand on me!" Sunkit loudly announces, his light and cheery tone having been replaced by one far more demanding. He crouches to Opalinekit's other side, eagerly awaiting the chance to offer a boost. He hasn't thought this through at all, but his brother should be light enough, right? So long as he steps between Sunkit's wings, not on them. Better yet... "On my head, on my head!" he urges.
