I BLOOM JUST FOR YOU / open, gardening class - Margaery - 05-15-2018

Margaery would not shy away from confessing that she had held many of these types of classes in the past- all having been assigned to her in the form of a weekly task. Admittedly, she wished her clanmates didn't simply look at her and determine that she was a good candidate for leading an informational session on gardening and such. Sure, it was her favorite pastime and most beloved activity... but she was capable of things that far surpassed tending to plants and such.

She would not complain this time though, especially considering that it had been close to a year since her last little class. It was what it was, she decided as she settled within her newly blossoming garden, tenderly eyeing her precious lilies. They were making quite the comeback and Margaery, relieved, released a bit of a sigh with that knowledge in mind. [color=#b14767]"I'm hosting a class on flowers and gardening!" She announced, trying (and failing) to hide what only could be described as the obvious tiredness in her tone. Her life was a chaotic jumble of things right now and she... she hated it. But this was her burden alone to share and she had reasoned that she would try her best to not include her clanmates in her struggles. For as long as she could at least.

Rearing upon chocolate-hued haunches, the dainty point would dismiss her troubled thoughts and wait for people to start to arrive. Please let this serve as a distraction, She thought idly.

Well, here came the exact opposite of a distraction.

Having heard Margaery's call, the polar bear lumbered over. Suiteheart had always enjoyed sitting through Margaery's classes and lectures detailing gardening and plant breeds and such. Her wife had, at one time, been so passionate about this subject that it warmed her very soul. Now, however, it was evident that the flower queen's enjoyment seemed to be wilting. Though it made Suite sad that Margy could no longer find joy in this, she hoped the other could find solace during her weekly task.

Though she did not speak, the Starstruck Guardian offered Margaery a gentle, reassuring smile. She settled down near where the group was sure to gather, and let her eyes wander the rows of flowers Bastillepaw had revived.

Yes! Hazel had been yearning to learn about gardening for a number of reasons. For one, Margaery loved it, and aside from baking, she definitely wanted another way to make the chocolate point happy. For another, Hazel had long since wanted to put plants in her room, even if...her room didn’t have windows. But that was okay, because her room was hers either way, and she loved it the way it was.

The cocoa feline trotted over to Suite and Margy, idly wondering if there would come a day when the two weren’t near each other, and took a seat, tail curling over her paws. She tried and failed to miss the air of exhaustion that cling to Margaery, and felt her thoughts flip to worry, hoping the femme would soon get her overdue relaxation.

“What kind of flowers are you going to teach us about?” She asked instead of prying, unable to keep the undercurrent of excitement out of her voice.

A gardening class? What could possibly go wrong? Bastille kept his morbid reflections to himself -- fire, lightning, one of those tiny little tornados he'd accidentally conjured once and been followed around by for an hours, earthquakes, the ground caving open directly under Margy's fixed garden, really the possibilities of his powers rebelling were endless here -- and instead joined them with a yawn. He had little to no interest in gardening, frankly, but he had little to no interest in most of the Clan happenings that he found himself a part of. He was willing to go along with things he didn't care about in the name of being a functioning member of society, however, and so here he was. At gardening class. With the garden he'd already burned down once.

At least he actually liked these people, he noted, as he stopped beside Hazel. "Yo," he supplied in greeting, squinting slightly at Hazel's question. He'd only revived two forms of flowers -- the roses and lilies that'd been in her garden to begin with -- but he supposed her could always forcibly grow more if she was trying to demonstrate something else. Well, maybe. He didn't exactly know many flowers, so the odds of him knowing what to grow were slim, but technically that could be worked around with a little bit of telepathy and shared images. That was all a little complicated, despite being easily done, for a gardening class, though. Like, sure, he would, but he found it more likely that Margy's plan involved what she already had at her disposal.

Luna had known what she was doing when she had given Margaery the task of teaching others about gardening. After all, Margaery had seemed to have a large interest in flowers and plants since the moment she joined.

The white-serval approached and offered a nod to all of her Clanmates. "Watching."

Though her clanmates seemed interested in what she had to say, Margaery couldn't help but feel slightly frustrated. She was more than the flowers and plants from which she so tenderly cared for... right? As she looked between her garden and her friends, she discovered rather quickly that she didn't know the answer to that inquiry. But now was not the time to have an existential crisis over a little weekly task and the chocolate point wouldn't dare dismiss everyone after she had already gathered a small audience. The show had to go on.

Looking towards Hazel, who seemed so eager to learn, Margaery resigned to forcing a soft smile upon her face. [color=#b14767]"Today, we'll be learning about lilies, geraniums, and roses. Before we get into that, does anyone know the three things that a plant needs to grow?" She quietly inquired, figuring that she might as well start with an easier question. She just hoped that no-one saw through her poorly crafted facade to the girl underneath- the one who would rather be doing anything else.

Bastille probably would have given her a fairly unimpressed look if she'd voiced her concerns aloud, but alas, she kept them internal. There wasn't so much as a blimp in her aura to alert him to some morose musings, and the boy settled back with a yawn as he eyed her garden. Hell, the roses already looked better than he'd managed after a few days of Margy's care. Perhaps the ground had, somehow, remembered his insult and refused to blossom as prettily for him. Frankly, he wouldn't be surprised if such was the case.

Bastille arched a brow at her question -- really? they were starting with something this simple -- but didn't have any intention to participate unless he needed to. He was here to watch and pretend to be social, clearly. As such, he took the time to instead wonder if he could have tried to grow her geraniums, too.

Roses, lilies, and geraniums. Margaery, the souls, and Suiteheart. That much was easy to dicipher, but only if one knew Suite's signature flower was the geranium. She loved the blossoms with all her being, and she was eager to see if Margy knew more about them than she did (which was a likely possibility).

At Margaery's question, she pondered for a few heartbeats. She was aware of the answer, yes, but she almost wanted to see if anyone else knew. She glanced to Bastillepaw as he arched a brow, half expecting him to speak, but he remained silent. Taking that as her cue, she rumbled in question, [color=#73B1B7][b]"Sunlight, water, and nutrients from their soil?"
