mother once said ❄ open for snowbound members ❄ she would love me forever - pallid-i - 05-15-2018 It had been easy taking her son back. Maybe she should have felt a little remorse for tricking him into coming with her, but Starjelly just wanted him back. She had watched him from afar with his new family, feeling jealousy yet relief knowing her former mate had managed to keep their son alive, even if he had died in the process.
She looked down at the black kit that jumped around with bits of snow clinging to his soft pelt. They were nearing warmer territory, and she could see the snow melting and giving way to greenery. Her tail swished back and forth as her thoughts lingered back to earlier, when she had worked up the courage to get her son. She stood in front of the kitten, smiling softly and holding back tears as he looked back up at her with wide and curious eyes. His smile was wide, and his little tail swished back and forth.. Something a dog would normally do. "You look very pretty, Miss! I've never seen you before... Did pa send you to come take care of me?" Star chuckled softly, leaning down and pressing noses with Harrison. "I'm here to come pick you up, little one. We're going to go somewhere, and I will have a surprise there for you, okay?" His eyes lit up brightly when "surprise" was mentioned. He jumped up and now his tail was wagging ferociously. "Will the surprise be a sweater? I really want a sweater!" How cute.. "You'll just have to wait and see for yourself, little one. Now come." She then turned and began to walk out of the caverns, her son following behind. She knew they would notice his absence, so they would have to worry. Now they were nearing a hollow, and she stopped. Harrison bumped into her and squeaked in surprise. He pulled back, star dust on the tip of his nose. The kitten could help but giggle as he huffed it off and watched it fall to the ground. Star watched him and thought over what she was going to say. This was going to be hard.. This poor little thing didn't even know her, and didn't even remember his father. He probably thought the animals back in the clan he had been living in were his family, and that made the ache in her chest hurt even more. The starry feline sighed, flattening her ears to her head. This was going to seem cruel, wasn't it? Just telling him his life had been a lie.. That the people that had raised him weren't even his real family. She was going to hate herself for this, but she.. She wanted her son back. "You're Apollo, and I'm your mother and the people back there.. Back in Snowbound, they're not your family. They're not even related to you, okay? Your dad.. He's dead. Your real dad." She wasn't even subtle about it. Subtlety had never been her thing, and besides... It was best to be upfront about it, right? She didn't want to confuse her child. He deserved better. Though, Harrison just stared up at her and laughed, smiling. "That's funny! But you're not my mom! You look nothing like me! And my name is Harrison! Pa says so!" He said, beaming up at her. Starjelly made a small noise of distress. Why did he have to make it hard? Why were children like this? "No... Harrison is not the real you! You're Apollo, and I really am your mother.. Son, please!" She pleaded softly, trying to scoop him up and bring him close, though the kitten backed up, staring at her. "You're not my mom! Please stop, you're scaring me! Where's my dad?" The kit said in protest, and looked around, heart pumping rapidly. "Pa! PA!!" Star began to panic, but she said one thing that made the kit go into a panic: "You're not going home." WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE — Jacob wasn't even sure how he'd made it here. Sheer determination, supposedly. After everything that'd happened in the Typhoon and running around Snowbound's territory, he hadn't been sure he'd ever find Harrison. But then he'd caught the scent. He knew Killua and Aizawa were following after him but he must have gotten past them somehow. In any case, he followed it all the way to this strange place. He had no idea where he was but he didn't let the smell of Harrison and the stranger escape him. He'd find them in this place, even if he had to tear it all apart. Jacob was sad and furious and terrified and that was a truly awful combination. Jacob was always an emotional individual but that only increased ten fold when it came to his family. As he traveled through the area, he finally caught his son's voice. "Harry? Harrison! Cucciolo!" the man called, pushing himself to go faster. His paws and legs ached from walking around and he knew the moment he stopped he'd collapse but he forced himself to keep going. He was so close now. He couldn't let Harry be taken away from him. He wouldn't lose anymore of his family. He couldn't bear the thought of that. Finally, he came upon the scene of someone, supposedly Harrison's biological mother, telling him he wouldn't be going home. That everything had been a lie. None of it was true. Obviously Harrison wasn't his biological son but that changed nothing. Jersey, his Pa, and his Ma hadn't really been related to Jacob but that didn't make them any less his family. For a moment, he hesitated. What if the kitten didn't want to come back with him? But then he heard the fear in his boy's voice and he rushed forward. "Don' worry, don' worry, Harry, 'm 'ere." His first concern was Harrison's well-being. Nothing would get in the way of that, not even his anger. His light eyes searched his tiny frame, looking for any injuries but it seemed like he was well. He then looked towards the starry feline and a growl rose in his throat. "'Course 'e's comin' home," he snarled before dashing forward, faster than he ever had before with his injured legs. He wasn't sure what was able to spur him forward so quickly, probably just the sheer adrenaline of the situation. He then launched himself at her side, attempting to tackle her to the ground. Having emotions always confused the young assassin. Sometimes he didn't know where to place such emotions, and as a child, he was prone to repetition based on his confusion or frustration. When he was younger, he as taught that it was perfectly okay to let his frustration out in the form of killing others. Only having been taught how to take lives instead of considering them to be precious. Killua had kept this bad habit for a very long time, but he didn't think that the habit would end up rearing its ugly face again anytime soon. He was stronger then that, and he knew killing was wrong. Especially with the way that everyone even looked at the situation that was presented before them. Killua remembered the looks of those that stared at the corpses that he had created almost a month ago, and that there were still some creatures that didn't even trust him. Either way, Killua was still getting used to the aspect of living with his emotions and figuring out the right way to deal with them. His frustration usually resorted to violence still, but usually objects that wouldn't be missed. Such as destroying a tree, or slicing his claws against something that wasn't flesh. It was a good way to vent his frustrations when he wasn't prone to speaking his mind. Those that lived around him practically required to pick his mind like a puzzle to try and think what he was thinking about. He kept his emotions hidden for various reasons, one of them being that he didn't trust anyone. He hated feeling weak so he kept them hidden. It was the best method that he could think of, but with this method he ultimately began to push other's away from himself. He was still the child, and had the mind of a child. He pretended that he knew everything, which he technically still did know a lot, but he still didn't know everything there was to know. Sometimes he would learn something small, such as how to deal with a friend and what having a friendship really meant. He had studied other cases over and over again of friends interacting with each other, and that was the only thing that Killua had to go off on. He would be far too embarrassed to ask the likes of a Snowbounder exactly what it should mean to have a friend. He was going to figure it out himself, as that was part of his own journey was it not? He did have to be careful, as he was constantly afraid of pushing others away from himself. There was one thing that Killua realized though, that he didn't have much of a self-worth when it came to dealing with those that he cared about. He would throw everything away to make sure that his friends weren't hurt. He didn't want other powerful powers to end up attacking those that didn't deserve to be hurt.
Although right now there wasn't really any means of concern when it came to battles as all of the clans were primarily peaceful and Snowbound hadn't had any issues with the other clans. Although Killua still had a distinct disgust about the Typhoon, that was a topic to think about for another day. Killua had been pissed when he realized that Harrison had been taken. Usually, he would have sensed that something was off, or caught the scent that belonged to someone that didn't belong in the group. Did the creature that took Harrison have some form of power? Possibly. But she was a loner, and he doubted that the creature had a group that would defend her when it came down to it. If she became a threat, then Killua would make sure to dispatch the female before anyone else could arrive on the scene. A cruel act that was for sure, but he didn't care. Who stole a child? If the creature wanted to speak with Harrison they should have just stopped on the border and asked politely. Now, they were going to be marked as a threat to all of Snowbound and would probably have a prize on their head. If they didn't, Killua would make sure that they did. He was one that did end up resorting to bad habits in that regard, resorting to violence instead of thinking of a compromise. He didn't have enough experience in a situation like this to really think clearly, and there were very few creatures that would be able to talk him out of it. Maybe London and Mel, but he didn't care about everyone in Snowbound as equally as one would think. He knew that he could track down the creature because there were several different methods that he could end up using. The assassin could track the scent until it would end up disappearing thanks to how old it was, but he could also track the tracks that were left in the snow. The territory wasn't so abundant with other forms of wildlife that it would be hard to tell where they were going. Especially with small pawsteps that were made by Harrison since he was just a kit after all. It was fairly easy, and the other obviously didn't make an attempt to try and hide their tracks all that well despite being in the snow. Now, if they were in a forest area where there was little snow, Killua would have a harder time tracking the paw marks that they would make in the ground since it would be subtle. Unless it was a large creature, but anything that could make an indent in the ground would be something that he would be capable of using. The albino serval knew that he could track them down with ease, and he would alert everyone to what was going on. He heard voices coming from a tree that was a little bit of a distance in front of him, and Killua narrowed his sapphire blue eyes, the color of said eyes having darkening several shades. He lashed his tail behind him as he could hear pawsteps that were coming from behind him. The hell? Before he could do anything, Jacob seemed to figure out where the threat was and where Harrison was. Killua opened his mouth to tell the other to stop, but realized that there would be no point. He just hoped that the other wouldn't get himself killed. Killua immediately turned on his invisibility, waiting for Jacob to enter the scene, hearing that the other was obviously pisised. But why had the creature taken Harrison? That was still on the table. The assassin crept his way toward the entrance of the hollow, his metal claws unsheathed and ready for action. As he turned into the hollow keeping his presence hidden, he realized that the creature was a lot bigger than he originally thought, and someone like Jacob wouldn't stand two seconds about what was happening. He made sure that Jacob wasn't going to end up putting Harrison into danger before he went into action. His eyes narrowing themselves as he looked toward the larger creatures legs. There, he would aim to use his air elementals and use them to knock the other's paws out from under her. If that worked, Killua would then conjure up a large boulder, and aim to drop it down onto the larger beast's flank. Which wouldn't break anything, but it would be enough pressure to cause some discomfort. From there, Killua would aim to teleport, with his invisibility on, on the female's neck, his metal claws pointed downward in almost a stabbing motion, but he wouldn't sink his claws into her neck just yet. If his teleportation worked and the serval was able to get on top of her, Killua would turn his invisibility off. "Explain yourself. Now. You have ten seconds." The way he said the words, meant that there was obviously no bluff. There had to be a reason, as stealing a kit and not making it obvious that one did as a means of a bargaining chip, meant that they had a motive. Killua was pissed, and his darkened eyes made this obvious. snowbound -- snowstriker -- male -- 8 moons [sub]template © olivan

"Let the child go" the dark god rumbled, no argument brokered in his tone. Re: mother once said ❄ open for snowbound members ❄ she would love me forever - guts - 05-15-2018
The whole situation was a mess already. They were all allowing their emotions to get the best of them, and Aizawa couldn't help softly bobbing his head side to side. He could understand Jacob getting all defensive, but this was just..unnecessary. But he didn't really understand the bond a father and son had, either. It was almost a little unnerving, seeing the usually cheerful and passive leader suddenly so aggressive. It was like a bear protecting it's cub. He watches the scuffle, standing off to the side in case things got out of hand. He didn't have his quirk anymore, and couldn't control his new power, but he still had other means of fighting. Though, he doubted things would get too far with Kilua around--or maybe he would be the one to take them too far. By the way things were looking, he was stepping on a few toes. Still, the lion urges his hackles to lower, judging eyes watching each person at the scene. However things went, they would get Harrison back. Even if this was his mother, he obviously wasn't very enthused about going with her. "SPEECH" Re: mother once said ❄ open for snowbound members ❄ she would love me forever - pallid-i - 05-21-2018 So much had happened in a small span of time that the starry feline didn't even have time to process that one person was even attacking her. Star yelped as Jacob pinned her down. She scrabbled at him with wide eyes, tail lashing back and forth. Harrison watched in surprise, fur bristling. Too much was going on, and the kitten scanned the area as more of his makeshift family appeared. He breathed softly and when Killua attacked, he made a mad dash over to Aizawa. The lion would take care of him, right?
"Apollo!" Starjelly yowled, before feeling the pressure of a boulder on her flank. Then there was pressure on her neck, and she released a low, guttural growl as she struggled to breathe. Two attackers.. She couldn't fight back now, especially with something holding down her neck. Her dilated pupil darted everywhere, flickering over to Jacob, and then to the other snowbounders. "I just wanted my son back.. H-He's my son." She croaked, going still. "Give me-me back my s-s-son." She might have abandoned him, but she had been so scared.. She wanted to make it up to him now, by taking him back and showing she cared. Harrison simply looked away from the scene as little tears formed in his eyes. He looked up at Aizawa in the hope of finding comfort in the male. The kitten opened his mouth for a moment, ready to ask the lion a question, though he quickly closed it, bowing his head. //late af reply OOF |
