— pearlcatcher is tall, lanky tom with large, rounded ears that sit dead-center on the top of his head.  he has a very scruffy look about him, and his muzzle is short and square.  he is a sort of light reddish-brown more reminiscent of redwood bark than typical cat color.  his tabby stripes are thin and jagged across his body and thicker across his tail, which resembles a tiger's tail in shape, if not in length and color.
— pearlcatcher carries a small pouch around his neck, connected to a black chain.  within the pouch in an old piece of sea glass, a spiral shell, and an odd pristinely-preserved butterfly wing.  on top of the chain and pouch, concealing it is an old red bandana
— pearlcatcher sports a long scar across his left side and a large patch across the right side of his face where no fur grows.  he is completely blind in that eye.  on the top of his head, in the middle of the furless patch, is a very noticeable dent.

— pearlcatcher is a cat that's been through a whole lot in his life.  he is experienced, but with this experience comes loss and heartbreak, two things that keep him from opening up to people.  pearlcatcher is close-hearted now and it's going to take a lot of prompting and understanding until he'll be okay enough to respond to others as a well-rounded individual should.
