⸺ BRUTEI TSUNE ⸺
FRATER MEUS - YOU'RE BEAUTIFULLY MADE, AND TO YOU, I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL!
The oriental was under a good bit of stress. It was a dark and stormy night that he could not sleep through, and he found himself with his body curled up under a wide fern. Claws kneaded at the sands and soils, listening to the booming of thunder. Unbeknownst to the tom, his brother watched him from nearby.

As he went to move, something slammed into his side, claws raking his fur and tearing open wounds. A strangled hiss left him and he swung blindly, hitting a muzzle coated in liquid. In the light of lightning, he noticed the noble stance, the crimson eyes and bloodstained maw, and something clicked. His blue eyes hardened, his body became sleeker and swifter. He moved within the night, but was pinned beneath the force. With a wicked grin that made his assailant hesitate, he unsheathed his claws, pressed them against his attacker's neck, and pushed.

Warm liquid flooded his fur, staining his white paws red and causing his brother to fall to one side, a strangled cry coming from him. Ezrakel moved up gracefully, standing over his dying brother, as Ezekiel weakly pleaded for mercy. "You did this before... you... brother, I... Why..?" Ezrakel held back laughter. But it bubbled out and spilled into the rainy air.

"Because I am no longer Ezrakel. I am Brutei. Ezrakel is dead now. It is only Brutei, now." He pressed his nose to his brother's own as Ezekiel took his last breath. "Rest now, brother. You are no longer a burden on this world."

Brutei raised his head as his brother's form faded away, leaving only a puddle of blood. He wondered if anyone would check up on him. He highly doubted it.
