The time had come to take the Pitt down a notch. Vale’s invitation created a beautiful opportunity, one that Ninazu and Stryker couldn’t refuse. The shapeshifting bandit had asked for a favor to support Vale’s claim to the ardent throne. However, the bandit had a strange way of going about that, in Ninazu’s opinion, but she wasn’t one to argue. The result, regardless of the “message” Vale wanted, created violence, destruction, and (most importantly) instability within the Pitt, the only group untouched by the COTC’s campaign.

Ninazu’s sharklike smirk widened. Her golden eyes reflected her flames, and the lady of war already donned her orange warpaint. The lotus and dots matched her guru position quite nicely, even if Ninazu herself warmongered far more than anyone else who’d ever held the title before. No, she lived for violence. Healing had only been a means to an end, for power, for satisfying her personal curiosity on anatomy, for surgical precision on violence.

“Today, my friends, we will destroy the Pitt’s black pyramid. As I was previously an ardent—leader—and erudite—guru—of the Pitt, this will be my raiding party.” She flexed her claws, popped her knuckles, and grinned around her fangs.

“Anyone with earth elementals is especially welcome. But, remember, this is a surgical strike. Our goal is to destroy the pyramid and get out without getting bogged down in a fight. The moment the pyramid’s down, we’ll leave the way we came—under the Pitt’s tunnel system, for which I am your guide—and avoid unnecessary losses.”
