THE TYPHOON TAKEOVER AND RAID

Wuyi scrunched up xyr face as he retrieved the scroll. Xe worried the hawk might nip at xem, but the bird ignored xem and flew off the moment xe’d lightened his load. Xe huffed. Oh well. That worked.

Xe opened the letter and squinted at the letters. Reading. Yeah, xe knew how to read, but he was still a child. War tactics meant little to him.

“WE GOTTA BATTLE THINGY FROM STRYKER!” Wuyi yelled. Xyr ears flicked. Obviously, Wuyi wouldn’t be going to this battle, but he wondered why xe hadn’t heard anyone talk about it. There’d been a lot of preparation with the bandit raid. Maybe this meant Bai Shi didn’t know about this?

wuyi's shout would bring aforementioned kingpin towards xem, ears pricking up as they trotted along. "battle thingy?", they would murmur curiously, remembering some talk of the benefits of becoming an ally or some such talk. clicking their tongue, they hummed in their throat, "strange but alright. may i see that wuyi?", they rumbled, head slightly tipped. when the child grew tired of the scroll, they would be next to take it and read it over, humming as they read, thinking. considering things, they grunted slightly, wincing at the pain in their bandaged foreleg before breathing out, "EVERY ABLE BODIED ADULT ALITHIAN, MEET AT THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE TERRITORY IN THIRTY MINUTES! WE'RE HELPING AN ALLY OUT!", they would roar, ears flicking. nothing personal against the typhoon, they had defeated the bandits in battle, and well ... they hadn't heard much from the merchants passing through aside from the murmurings of battles and skirmishes that usually happened. maybe the coalition had gotten in over their heads. it couldn't hurt to help an ally out and prove their own worth.
