Brainstorming/interest check thread - jacob w.c. - 05-14-2018
Alright! So on here I've included a list of various event and tradition ideas. The top part of this post includes short explanations for them all but the bottom (the code) is just the names of the events. Bold which ones interest you the most and add a few suggestions of your own, if you'd like! This is just a way for me to get everything organized to make sure we have some kind of plot or event going on every week or as often as possible.
Events
Talent show - suggested by London/Array - This would be a one-shot contest (with selections being based on creativity) with a special pendent that your character could earn and maybe gems or something like that.
Escape room/murder mystery - suggested by Izuku/arcy - This would be an event where a complex puzzle is set up with a list of clues to try and find the 'murderer' or the 'key'. It'd probably start with a formal gathering of some sort, with different characters receiving different roles which would be determined randomly (such as the murderer themselves, a secret detective, normal party goers, etc). This would all be part of an event but maybe we could also do a plot like this sometime, where the clan has to catch a murderer? If you're interested in having an actual murder mystery plot, please specify that on your form.
A spring festival - Basically exactly what it sounds like. They'd probably invite allies and eat a bunch of good, fresh food made from the new shoots and stuff coming up in the territory. This could be something I even hold this week before we start our big plot. There could be little games and drinks and things.
A big clan picnic - All members would be encouraged to bring a unique dish with them and basically hang out for awhile. Maybe we could add something to make it more exciting, like a surprise attack or something idk. Allies would probably be invited to this as well.
Showcase - To display the three different branches of Snowbound, each 'branch' (lionhearts, tenderfoots, and flurryhosts) could hold an event that represents their field. The Arcticplayer would host a huge event/party, the Snowstriker would host some kind of training or tournament, and the Frosthealer would hold some kind of medical training session or something.
Traditions
- Ancestor festivals - Festivals spaced evenly throughout the year. Each one highlights one of the ancestors and the festival is specifically tailored to them (for example, Medve might have a tournament of some sort while Pipi has a prank war or something)
- Initiation ceremonies - The tenderfoots already have this in the form of tryouts but something where the flurryhosts and lionhearts will be required to do something to officially gain their title. For example, a flurryhost might need to make a display of hospitality (whether in the form of a large event or in a smaller, more personal way) and lionhearts need to hold some sort of physical training. These don't necessarily need to be huge, pinned events but it'd give a more distinct way of moving through ranks for the positions that aren't in the medical field.

Perhaps lessons on the ancestors? Tbh i dont know anything about them nor where to learn about them.
