AND IT'S HALF PAST THREE
[align=center]AND I GOT ANGEL WINGS
BUT A DEVIL'S GRIN
AND ONLY ONE CAN WIN
elsweyr — tanglewood — three years
Run, run. But where could she go? There was nothing but steep darkness everywhere. She could smell the burning, smell the ash in the air. Smoke clogging her nostrils. She could hear the screams of those who were mangled and hurt, sharp cutting off sounds of the dying. Tanglewood was burning. Her breath was harsh in her own ears as she tried to search through the darkness and try to find anyone. Someone. But it was as if no matter what direction she went in she could not find anyone. The screams prevailed and she had no where to go. No one to turn to. This was it. This was reality. She felt herself shutter and pull back. How had this happen? Who could have done something like this? The last thing she remembered was Tanglewood being held hostage and then she was being....dragged. Her eyes lifted up even as some blinded her but she could barely make out a visage. Someone walking towards her, markings outlined with a heatish white glow. Air shimmering and she wore...the skull of a crocodile. No...no.

It looked like her but that could not be her. The copy of hellfire and death stared at her, a grin on her maw. And it was only then that this thing this apparition showed just what she had. A head. And not just any head. The head of a child. "This one is weak. She will watch all of her friends die. She will watch then all suffer because she won't take power. Won't bend to it and use it. He gives a way. Take it." The doppleganger dropped the ink colored skull and she laughed, blood staining her body, her teeth and claws. A fine treble started in her body and in reality, not trapped in her mind the king cheetah backed up against the tree she had been corralled to. Her eyes were wide and tears stretched down her muzzle, dropping to land upon the ground. "She is not weak, she is strong. She is not weak, she is strong. This one has seen worse, protected from worse...." Her mumbled words did nothing to stop the force that was worming into her head. The dark presence twisting and warping her mind. But she was fighting, she had never had to deal with this kind of dark magick before.

She was fighting but she was losing. Losing herself to this dark doppleganger that drew ever closer. Pain spreading through her own body and breaking her hold on reality once again. They were the same, they were weapons, tools. Destruction and hellfire. Their ruin. For him.
