Palmclan Ranks & Whether We Should Change Them - stilly. - 11-13-2020
So, as I'm sure a lot of you know, Palmclan will be going through some changes very soon! Not only will we be wrapping up our second clanwide plot, but we'll also be changing our name to The Palm Glades as a new development moving away from Starclan. In addition to this change, some people were interested in Palmclan changing the rank names, in order to further develop away from their classic clan lifestyle. I'm totally in favor of this if the majority wants it, which is why this poll is being held!
In addition to gauge reactions to possibly changing our rank names, I want this thread to be a place for members of Palmclan to express what they may want to change those names to! If you have particular names in mind, a particular theme, or some kind of deep backstory for them, feel free to suggest it, since I'm all for member-led development within the group. You may also suggest new ranks that you feel should be implemented into the hierarchy if you want to. Please also keep in mind that, if we do change our rank names, the changes won't go into effect until December 5th. This is in order to not overwhelm everyone with a ton of change in one meeting thread on the 21st.

Leader
Deputy
Senior Warriors
Medicine Cat
Medicine Cat Apprentice
Waverunner

The only two ranks I know should be changed are the medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice. Maybe have it a tiny bit more general in rank names? Medic, Tide-healer, Medic Trainee, that sort of thing?

i 100% agree with astral!
in the farther future, i think renaming the deputy and senior/warrior ranks would make sense? whenever i see "deputy" i immediately think of warrior cats, simply because it's a pretty nonsense second in command rank name anywhere else, lol. it's basically only used in law enforcement.
deputy -> vice-leader, maybe?
i also think changing "warrior" to something else to take away the warrior cats connotations would be cool, but, again, for the farther future. something like "knights" might make sense? since they could remake their code but call it the "knight's code" and move away from the warrior cat's influence.
