See The Love There That's Sleeping -- O; foliage fixing - SirDio - 10-28-2020 Bahano
As he stepped down the crumbling roads of the Abandoned Coastal Village, He noticed the mist growing, and the whispers of words carried along with the wind. Ghosts. Spirit sight let him see a fair two or three, but he didn't wish to intrude on spirits who he never knew when alive. Only words he spoke as he stepped into the village were permission to fix paths, redirect foliage. It seemed they allowed it; the mist wasn't obscuring his vision too much. So he stepped on, gently persuading vines to grow elsewhere, weeds to die within the cracks in the roads, bushes to trim themselves, and trees to hold up their drooping branches. It wasn't much energy, as he didn't force foliage to grow or suddenly stop immediately, he simply set the seeds within their root interface, persuaded them to die and wither, to grow and change course. Gentle words on the winds thanked him, explaining that some members of Alithis would trip or get caught. He chased out rats, aided other rodents in the steady cold, and even cleaned up the streets with a gentle breeze. All this time, he was singing softly to himself - a song he sang to many a friend, many a lover. As he stopped to get a look at the scenery, two pink flowers sprouted from a crack in the street. A Chrysanthemum and Pink Orchid. Death and love, together. The two flowers were twined together, living in harmony. It was sudden death for both the Chrysanthemum and Orchid, both withering up and dying before his eyes before he could even blink. Shocked, he stepped back. What did he even think up? A haphazard shrug rolled from his shoulders as he went on to continue fix foliage and persuade them, gentler this time. silent were the paws that padded through mists, curious the gaze of the spirit that stepped from the mists, watching bahano as he went about, his own head turned out of curiousity. gaze following as the living god moved around the territory, he would follow, his eyes drifting to half closed. "greetings", came the hoarse whisper, ghost stepping forward, small sprouts springing where his paws had touched. his left leg was entangled by all manners of vines and greens, his head lower to the ground, head tipped to the side. "my name is jerisidie. i've felt your presence through the earth.", he spoke softly, the fallen and deceased god quietly standing nearby yet far away, uneasy of the living. he didn't remember this being, this god before him. though, to be truthful, he had never been interested in the other gods after his beloved had been killed by another lover of his. what a messy story that was ... one he would eventually tell. at least he had regained his husband after many years, though even as a ghost himself now, his heart ached as he drifted back from the mindless wandering of his mind. shaking his pelt slightly, he touched the root of a tree, looking up at the branches as he clicked his tongue, "the trees are slumbering ...", he would murmur softly. tags - white hellhound - alithis evgenis |
