THERE’S VACANCY IN EVERY NIGHTMARE

Rosemary picked her way through a meadow of wildflowers, her nose twitching from the pollen. Bees swirled in the air, circling flower after flower, and she left them to their business. She hummed to herself as she picked a bundle of witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana), rolling the plants between her toe beans and dropping the damaged pieces to the soil.

The ocelot wandered from the Typhoon’s territory only for good reason. Getting a strange quest from one of the friendly folks around here… well, in Rosemary’s mind, that qualified. Picking up a plant that didn’t grow in the jungle island was also a happy bonus.

She finished pressing the witch hazel between pages of a blank notebook, and stored the bundle in her satchel. “If any… questgiver? Questgiver. If any of you are around, I would love to meet you,” Rosemary called.

A call from the wilds alerted Brutus from afar, causing him to saunter over with wide eyes and a smile curled upon his maw. "Why hello!" he cheerly greeted. "I've been wanting to meet more folks like you, so kudos." The bobcat wished his last quest event was more soothing. That Jormungandr- or whatever that panther was named- was quite a brute. Those piercing eyes! Oh, it chilled him to the bone! Thankfully though, Rosemary was his own size and seemed rather polite. "Anyways, let's get to the gist of things. M'name is Brutus, your local questgiver by day and event host by night." A small chuckle left him. His role tended to fluctuate around the year. Hosting Valentine's Day was surely his favorite though.

The wanderer nodded firmly to his thoughts. He confirmed his plans for Rosemary and was quite excited for the adventure he was about to send her on. "So... Erm- what's your name?" Brutus stumbled over his words, but managed to finish eventually. "Anyways, I'm going to send you back to The Typhoon... Sorry." He quickly backed up his statement though. "I want you to bring back something that's very important to you and tell me all about it, if that's okay?" That seemed to be easy enough, right? The deeper the meaning, the better the outcome.
