The smell of ink and pages brought a sense of ease to the petite vixen.  Stories and histories surrounding her.  A thousand words and worlds.  A refuge.  Her mix-matched hues danced over a page of Treasure Island.  Old favorite.

The library was quiet.  Though sometimes the silence frightened her, fear of losing herself to the quiet for good... She found comfort in the peace.  Solitude.  A constant in her life.  If one considered her... A single soul... Most days she did.  Until something so fundamentally Kiira or Suvi flared in her mind of one... Memories and thoughts contradicting and confusing.

Did it matter... Both alone in the end?  Separated.  Lost.

At least, it seemed so... But sometimes someone came in and changed that.  Even for just a while.  And she didn't mind.  Quietly sharing her thoughts.  Smiles.  Though it had been some time.  Lingering alone.  Nose back in her books.  Voice left unused.  Maybe she was losing it.  O̴̦͑ŕ̸̢ ̷̝́ǹ̷̤e̵̯̅v̸̡̔e̶͍͠r̸͎͗ ̷̣͑h̵̰̒ȁ̸̟d̴̬̈́ ̸̛͍ȋ̶͍t̴̪̋.̸̲̍ 

The fox hummed softly, about to turn the page when her paw began to phase out, sliding through the paper.  She sighed.  She knew how the story went but she wouldn't mind finishing this chapter...
