The witch sighed, neatly setting her teacup down on its saucer. Sipping roobus tea and reading in the Capricorn Tavern provided a semblance of comfort after her treehouse burned down, but the other patrons distracted her. That’s why she frequented the tavern at noon, when most people in the Typhoon preferred wandering about rather than slurping down drinks. Even so, the two or so conversations in the background made it impossible for her to concentrate on her books.

Rosemary waved a paw in slow circles, stirring her tea with waterbending as she added in another dollop of honey. She closed the book and set it off to the side.

Vayne took notice of Rosemary whenever the witch had come and scolded Aphra for whatever reason; the whole scene she caused made her upset, but she didn't blame anyone there in particular, other than herself. She didn't forget Rosemary's promise about showing her a book about princesses and so the little Cipher began looking for The Typhoon's resident four-eyed witch.

"M-Miss?" Vayne called out, trying to stand on two legs to peek over the table Rosemary was sitting at. Her paws were wobbly, definitely not used to being used like this, but it did help to have somewhat of a crutch to lean on to. "Um... Are you reading one of those books about princesses?"[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

The ocelot’s ears twitched as she heard her name called. Rosemary glanced down at the kitten, all fluff and newborn spots. She shook her head and quietly slipped the book under a pile without comment—a kid as young as Vayne should not be reading the adult material in that novel.

“I finished re-reading some of my favorite princess short stories last night, actually,” Rosemary said. She stepped onto the table and offered a paw to help Vayne do the same.

Whether Vayne needed help or not, Rosemary would then pull a copy of The Starlit Wood off the top of the stack. She bit her bottom lip, however, as she added, “This one, in particular. It might be a little above your reading level? Ah, a good challenge to the mind, even if so.”
