that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - kinglykingstone - 09-01-2020

The feline strolled into the massive cavern, Hani clicking his tongue and shaking his head. "Not a lot of people wandering around, hm?" he comments, his blue eyes scanning the few members of the group that milled about. "It's not a lot to work with but, I'm sure we can manage." his other half would comment as they reached the center of the room.

THey had spent the last few days pouring over the records of the groups history, digging up some interesting factids that had seemingly disappeared over time. Apparently, that included the group's leaders, who they hadn't seen hide nor hair of since they joined. What had been their leader even? That chattery bat had been implied by one member they'd spoken to but, that was neither here nor there. They had seemingly disappeared and left the group leaderless. In their place, the former spy had stepped up.

Time to announce as such.

"Alright everyone! Gather 'round, Gather 'round! We've got somethin' to say!" Alani would call out, his voice echoing withing the cavern and out into the town. They would wait patiently as members slowly trickled into the area. After a decent amount gathered, their whispers of confusion filling the area, the two headed feline watched. "Quiet!" called out Alani, a silence falling over the gathered members. With that, he would fall silent and allows his partner to speak.

"We have not been here long but, we have been reading and we have been watching, and have deemed you leaderless. Based upon this decision, we have decided to take over. Some of you have met us already but, for those who have not, I am Hani, and my orange half is Alani. We would love if you all would introduce yourselves, as many of you are new to us." He gave a nod, allowing the orange tabby half of the being to take over that.

"After some introductions we'll be announcing some changes! We were looking at the history of the group and like, there was some really cool stuff that was dropped, so we may be putting some back and place and we've gotten some new ideas to liven up the place!" Alani crowed, grinning. "Now, everybody introduce yourselves!"

//Hi hi! As announced in the server, I'm taking over the Elysium with this two headed feline! I'm hoping to bring some changes to breath some life back into the group! Most the announcements will be in the next post, go ahead and have your characters introduce themselves to their new leaders!

TELL HIM THE NIGHTMARES HAVEN'T STOPPED
tell him i'm not sure what is real and what is not
Loey appears fairly quickly, all things considered- he had joined a few months back after a rather traumatic event that included him being seemingly transported through some fog, and had stuck to himself since then. He'd not spoken to many people though knew at least of some, but he, too, was someone who hadn't heard from the previous leader. Perhaps that's why, upon seating himself before the other...s? he didn't question the abrupt jump to leadership, though he winced at the reminder of how he had became leader of the Zephyr Templar all those many moons ago. An abrupt jump from a simple member to leader after Martin and Limehad come to him in private, seeking someone to step up so that they could retire.

The thought still left a foul taste in his mouth. He hadn't been ready for the things that would come, adopting the reincarnation of a woman he had protected once, dealing with a landslide and then dying and being reincarnated in another body... And then coming here. Even now it left his brain muddled and confused, but he refused to dwell on it for too long for fear of some kind of breakdown.

Instead, he entertained himself with ideas of what Hani and Alani might announce, perhaps history of where he had spontaneously joined, perhaps some new traditions- there was a lot to his imagination, and for now as he spoke he could entertain himself. That said, he spoke up when asked to introduce himself, his voice rough from misuse; "Loey Toretto. Nice to meet you."

Re: that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - J. ADALGAR - 09-01-2020

[glow=grey,2,300] and what's wrong with being confident?[/glow]
They had been leaderless because there had been none who wished to step forward and claim it. Hebi was no leader, and even amung the older clanmates they all skittered around the edges: for most life moved on. Hunting, patrolling, keeping alert and aware. They were all too aware of their own weaness without a leader, and it was with great relief that murmurs of a meeting had been held: hebi apprached the meeting with a grave note, who would pin the burden upon their soldiers? Hebi hummed, lightly when the two-headed creature moved to start the meeting, and they started to speak; hebi didn't break the silence that followed.

A leader who didn't even know their names.

it brought a huff of laughter from him, a sarcastic lilt to the jaguar's features as he looked towards the two headed leader of theirs. for once he didn't hide away- didn't cower under the scars. when he walked towards them it was with a prowl in his gait. wings pulled up to his haunches and away from the floor, he moved away- keeping a distance still but allowed his grin to show; dark- full of promise and approval.

"Jammal Adalgar, but I prefer the name Hebi"

ATBASH CIPHER
i will travel the distance in your eyes !
Although Atbash had experience with leading, the savannah wasn't entirely comfortable leading a group she had hardly been apart of in the first place, let alone a group she wasn't familiar with. At the strange-colored, two-headed feline spoke, Atbash couldn't help but feel uneasy at this. "With all due respect you two," Atbash spoke as she stepped forward, the fur on her shoulders twitching to show how uneasy she was at the moment. "Shouldn't the leader be... someone who is more accustomed to the group?" She asked. "Like, someone who has been apart of Elysium longer than you or I." Hadn't these two just joined? Atbash really didn't like the sound of that.

But then again... Elysium couldn't be leaderless.

Tena Moonspinner
Atbash had... A point.  Especially as a former magna herself trotted onto the scene.  The petite sand cat twitched her tail.  No one had asked her.  Perhaps that meant no one expected her to.  No demands of it.  Good.  Because ever since Rin took over Tena had not been so sure... Maybe she just wasn't... What they needed.

If her half-burnt face said anything about her nature, Tena was... Reckless.  Headstrong.  Stubborn.  Sure, that meant she hadn't minded taking over once before when Phoenix had disappeared but... Maybe they needed someone who thought more.  Who knew who they were.  The Demdji wasn't so sure that was her anymore.

But she knew some may remember.  And look to her.  So Tena cleared her throat, straightening her back as she stepped forward.  "Hey.  My name's Tena.  I was Magna before Warringkingdoms." A bitter taste, but she stood strong.  Resolute.

"I've been here a long time."  From Sunhaven on.  "And I understand, it may be rough to look to someone who's new but, we should give them a chance.  Everyone gave me one when I took over." A quiet time, and she saw none present from those days.  But the ideals of community remained strong here, no matter the passage of time.  "Besides, I don't see anyone else stepping to the plate." Herself included, of course.

If she were ever to lead again, she wanted do it right.  Learn from the ground up.  Go with her head and heart straight.  No rushing in.

Re: that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - kinglykingstone - 09-02-2020

The duo both dipped their heads towards Loey as he introduced himself, Hani noting the grit that plagued the creatures voice. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Loey Toretto." he said plainly, half a smile on his face. His eyes studied the feline for a moment before shifting to the next creature to approach.

"Jammal Adalgar," echoed the stricter tabby, his blue eyes scrutinizing the scarred jaguar. His face remained flat and cold, though a wicked gleam shone in his eyes. "It's good to meet you, Hebi! Look forwards to working with ya," promised the brother, a sideways grin on his face. There was a motion in the duos twin tails, before Hani gave a nod and their attention moved onto the next to approach.

The pair stared down the approaching savannah, distaste clear in their twin expressions as they spoke. "With all due respect to you, if you intend to question someone, you could at least introduce yourself." snarked the normally upbeat tom, meeting her eyes. The pair moved a few steps closer to her, shoulders squared and head held high. "We stood by and watched, and we listened, as the Elysium stood there, leaderless." The two heads turned to match gazes before returning to the oddly colored animal. They took a step back, nowhere near as close to where they had been, and began to speak again. "There were several days where someone could have stepped up and taken over, and nobody did. We gave the members a chance and none dare take it. So we did."

They now returned back to their former spot, turning to face Tena as she approached. "It is good to meet you, Tena, interesting as well." They allowed her to finish speaking, approval gleaming in their eyes. A grateful nod from the silver head at her approval. "Thank you." There was another twitching of tails and, this time both would nod.

"Loey Toretto." "Hebi!" "Tena." "We thank you."

As a decent amount of members had trickled in, the duo decided to continue on with the meeting. "The next and main thing for today is a change of ranks. After looking through the current ranks and ones from the past, we decided to redo some things." His gaze would turn to Alani, a subtle signal for the other to speak.

"There were some extremely rad rank names in some of the books we found! So, here's a quick rin down of the current ranks! We also did some rearranging but, doesn't really matter since nobody filled the positions: he would say with a laugh. He would allow for that to settle before moving on. "Alright! So, so, so! First up, listing these in order of rank, Magna becomes Astral Seraph! Badass right? This and the next's ranks comes from one of your former groups called the Ascendants? Had a cool space thing going. Anyways! Decurion becomes Ecliptic Admiral! I know, it's out of order, but it felt best! Like I said, old don't matter because it's replacing things that nobody had!" A quick bump from the silver tabbie's head set the orange tabby back on track.

"Alright, so, next are Warden and Legate! They've become the Moonray and Sunbearer, respectively!" And, without missing a beat, Hani picked up the talking for the next sentence in a seamless transition. "These two are special, in which they new represent two guilds. Selene's Healers and Helios' Guards. There will be a more in depth explanation given later in the month, but they will be the healing side of things and the fighters, separately."

He gave a nod, silencing to allow Alani to finish up the announcements. "All that's left are the basic rules! Elysites or whatever becomes Dwarf Star, for the general members! On top of that, the ones in training are Nebulae! Just one is a Nebula! Y'all like the space theme? Cause I am loving it! Last but not least, Kiddos are Sparks! Cute, eh? Newcomers and prisoners stay the same because that's no biggie!" He finished off, a grin on his face.

//Alright so, TL;DR, there's been a change in ranks and an introduction of guilds! THe Coalition of the Condemned have been introduced as allies and the typoon as enemies!
Magna → Astral Seraph
Decurion → Ecliptic Admiral
Warden → Moonray of the Selene's Healers
Legate → SunBearer of the Helios' Guards
Elysites → Dwarf Stars
Trainees → Nebulae
Children → Sparks

Astral Seraph → Ecliptic Admiral → Moonray and Sunbearer → Dwarf Stars → Nebulae  →  Sparks → Newcomers → Prisoners

Re: that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - ATBASH CIPHER. - 09-02-2020

ATBASH CIPHER
But I found in you what was lost in me !
Atbash looked over to Tena as she spoke, her short tail flicking in thought; the other former leader also had a good point, and perhaps the Cipher would have been more willing to listen, if Hani didn't speak in such a condescending tone. As the two-headed feline crept forward towards Atbash, the savannah backed up slightly and flattened her ears, baring her teeth slightly. The way they spoke made Atbash's skin crawl and she only really started noticing it whenever they addressed her and the rest of the Elysium - specifically when the two appeared to speak at once.

While yes, it was certainly rude that Atbash asked a question without introducing herself, the snark and unnerving way that the two leaders spoke made her increasingly uncomfortable - even if they seemed to snap out of whatever 'trance' they were in and start speaking 'normally'; one after the other. What made the she-cat uncomfortable was when they spoke together and on one hand it made sense, but on the other, Atbash couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in the way they spoke.

Was she being too judgmental? Perhaps, but the last time she hadn't been judgmental enough, the group she led had met its downfall. "Well, you two, if you must know my name, it is Atbash Cipher." Atbash huffed, turning around and holding her short tail as high into the air as much as she could - trying to indicate that she wasn't interested in what they were saying anymore. "But it won't matter now, because I'm not saying here." Truthfully, she wanted to, she really did.

But something was off here, and it rubbed her the wrong way. With her last words, Atbash began to make her way out of Elysium camp.

Re: that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - lavi s. - 09-02-2020

The jedi had gone quiet in the recent days.  Primarily for the reason of tending to Tena.  Or rather, withholding Tena from pushing herself.  When his fiery friend approached the gathering, the mountain cat followed.  Lavi felt uneasy, though he failed to place exactly why as he took a seat besides his friend, listening to the assembly in thoughtful silence.

Truthfully, Lavi failed to stop his brows raising.  Part of him had expected Tena to take the reigns back from Rin eventually.  He had been there when Rin took over and had not particularly approved of such dramatic action against a 'curse' she didn't even tell Tena about before hand.  His friend may be young and reckless, but she hadn't been doing a horrible job.

He understood however, that lately Tena had been struggling.  The events that left her with the permanent injures across her face had also left her quieter.  He understood, though he missed the way she had been.  While he may often sigh and murmur warnings against her more reckless antics, part of what Lavi adored in Tena was her determination.

Even though Hani and Alani were new to him, to Elysium, he decided if Tena felt inclined to give them a chance to prove themselves as Magna- or Astral Seraph, then he would stand by her.  Besides, it did sound like they put a lot of thought into taking this step.

From how Atbash and the pair interacted, the jedi felt uncertain.  The way they spoke together made him uneasy, but he could say that was simply a matter of being unaccostumed to it.  When the savannah moved away, the mountain cat did not blame her.

"We don't need to resort to anything dramatic," he offered kindly in an attempt to calm the departing feline.  "We should take the time to give each other a chance.  All of us.  Elysium's supposed to be a community, after all."  A founding principle he enjoyed, from even during the Sunhaven days.

"My name's Lavi, by the way."  A hasty, although polite addition as the Jedi stood, brows furrowed in concern.  He did not want to see someone say goodbye to a home if a peaceful resolution could be made.

BLOOD AND BONE !
the soft uncurling of sunlight, cotton candy smiles bleeding red, dripping blood. all grainy images that you never want to reveal to youself:  reflection. hisoka is the catastrophe hidden in the stillness, the mourning of a single-note song and the death of all the purity. Bloodlust and cake

A dark creature of chaos, Hisoka thrived under a leaderless clan, for a few days no one would question the quiet rebellion of the kitsune, who came back through the borders blood-painted and in grewsome enjoyment flickering between the pair of gold dipped eyes. No one held an authority above each other, and the Kitsune played the game smart enough to leave only a few of the NPC's backing away in fear when the kitsune made his appearance in the meeting.

There was something uncurling inside the kitsune then, when he spotted atbash. and oh how the creature adored the opportunity facing him then. He stopped, cutting off Atbash' escape near one of the exits, a coy smile sprayed across the kitsune's features as he looked town at the once admiral leader of snow.

"Well, Atbash, it has been quite a while, has it not?" His attention zeroed unto his prey; his once leader now in the throws of abandoning his sight once again- and as such things wouldn't very well do now, would it? it didn't matter- if she fled from this place: Hisoka would hunt her down.  Atbash was quickly spiraling into a curious thing indeed, something to pursue for- if nothing else curiosities sake.

"It wouldn't do well to have you leave yet, things were just getting interesting around here. Hmm?" The kitsune asked, his tone shining with a promise as he looked over her towards the pair of heads- leaders that now called this place theirs. Such a peaceful, hopeful lot; he wondered if they knew what kind of things lurked around the border of mountains: the reprieve was going to be short.

After a moment's decision, he did move- allowing Atbash to leave after the encounter with the kitsune. His eyes turned from her entirely, humming out a jaunty little tune as he walked closer towards the pair- or single leader. "Hisoka" He offered, tails waving through the air behind him in some hidden beat.

Re: that distant shore || meeting 9/1 - ATBASH CIPHER. - 09-03-2020

ATBASH CIPHER
But I found in you what was lost in me !
Dramatic? Atbash huffed at Lavi's words, clearly offended by what the mountain cat had said. "Sorry, but I'm not going to be anywhere where I'm clearly going to be ostracized by every little wrong thing I do." She shot back, though she did appreciate Lavi's attempt at calming her down; perhaps if she wasn't so unnerved by Elysium's new leader, she would be more willing to listen to his words. I already have a damn problem being harsh on myself. Seriously, she more often than not blamed herself for Snowbound's demise and she didn't need a reminder of that, regardless if it wasn't anyone's intentions. ... I'll need to apologize to them later. The savannah added to herself, frowning at Lavi once she realized that she had somewhat snapped at him. If we ever meet again.

"Back off, Sakasu." Atbash growled at the kitsune that approached her, a sudden realization crashing over her - he knew of Snowbound's downfall. He might knew that Atbash constantly bashed herself for what happened to the old pacifist group. And that was even more uncomfortable; Atbash bit her lip, tensing up as Sakasu came closer to her. Not only were the kitsune's actions odd, but so were his words. "I've made my decision."
