PLANT LIFE | practice - salem - 08-23-2020

[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]SALEM | Dark paws wandered the jungle quietly, the constricting vines tightened with whirling thoughts.  Unease buzzed around the kodkod, following him like a shadow.  The recent discovery within neutral lands had left the boy's mind reeling -- compromised and uncertain.  At least it came as no one's fault; neither Salem nor Jack had known upon separation they'd find themselves among enemy factions.

Yet the reality stung like a shard of ice in his veins.  Salem missed his sisters and brother -- despite himself, he could only hope, should he run into the others, they did not stand on the other side of a conflict.  A grim hope to posses; the lingering thoughts of his family leading him to a small clearing.

Closing dark eyes, the small feline concentrated on the earth beneath him.  Along with every inhale, the scent of flowers and leaves around him.  In this tropical place, the autumn spirit felt disconnected -- he knew his sisters would thrive.  Moments of this focus only brought the sprouting of a number of mushrooms.  A repeated occurrence, although he found a soft smile spotting a few asters blooming beside his paws.

A small success was enough for him.

If I fall, get knocked down, pick myself up off the ground
Despite a pair of eyes that knew no trails, the tiny dealer knew the paths of the jungle well.  She typically wandered into the trees to simply patrol or visit her uncle among the treehouses.  While the bustling life within surrounded her with noise, it offered a pleasant change from the overlapping voices of the tavern.

Keona hummed softly, pausing when she caught Salem's familiar scent nearby.  Ears perked, the petite fae trotted towards him, quiet as she slowly inhaled more smells.  Mushrooms.  Something floral.  "Are you practicing?" She offered her voice softly, pale hues bright with curiosity.  It was a nice gift, she supposed...  To bring life from the ground.

[glow=grey,1,400]FOR ONCE, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST COME AND CHASE ME ?。+゚.[/glow]
Aphra found comfort in the jungle; particularly, the poisonous plants gave her an odd sense of comfort. She loved foxgloves and how beautiful they looked, despite their poisons. Aphra's ears pricked as she heard Keona's voice, turning around and following the sound of the tiny she-cat's voice. Aphra frowned as she looked at what Salem was attempting to grow, her tail tip flicking. "What's the use of that ability?" Other than using it to grow herbs, Aphra honestly couldn't see any advantages to having the ability to grow plants.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
