never seen a view like the earth from the stars -- assembly 8/5 - Warringkingdoms - 08-05-2020 [font=trebuchet ms]Youngblood. Thorntree. Two names, carved into the wall of the central mountain tunnel, stared down at her. She suspected several more would follow, especially if she started carving the names of everyone who had simply disappeared as well as those who had evidently died... to some people, only two deaths over the span of a year and a half, and only one of which had actually occurred during their reign, would be a statistic to be proud of. It was certainly better than when people had been dying on a monthly or even weekly basis. It was cold comfort, to her. Even a single death on her conscience was too many. Yet, after the nightmares she'd had last night... seeing that everyone else was accounted for, at least, was somewhat reassuring. She had to get to the bottom of this, nonetheless. Maybe it was just an isolated incident, but she wasn't about to take her chances. Some additional measures had to be taken to protect everyone. She couldn't just let this slide like she had the incident with the two deer. Standing atop the rock, Rin called out, "Assembly time. Everyone come over here." Once a decent crowd had gathered, she began, "First of all, one of ours- Thorntree- was murdered at the border a few days ago. We still haven't figured out who's responsible, and where they hail from. From now on, though, until we figure out who killed her and deal with them, I want all patrols from now on to contain at least three people; and no one should be patrolling alone, no matter what." This was a reasonable request, she thought. If no friends were available, a creature could just grab a clanmate or two they didn't know yet. With a small nod, she added, "I want to welcome Hebi, Hisoka, and Makariy to Elysium, as well as extending a welcome back to Mistrim." Sweeping her gaze over the crowd, she searched for a particular bat-like creature. "Clony- you've done well as a Legate, and more than proven your mettle. I want to offer you a promotion to Warden." Twitching her ears, she said, "We will continue the cave expedition soon, once we've finished improving our security. I will be holding another combat training, as well as a first aid training, sometime this week. I'll also be hosting a memorial for Thorntree tomorrow night." It was only right to do so for a fallen clanmate. She sighed. "That's all I've got. Anyone who wants to swear in, step forward." /tl;dr + ooc notes: -Thorntree (a wolf NPC) was recently murdered by a suspect that hasn't been ICly identified, so Rin's asking that all patrols from now on include at least three people, and ordering that no one patrol alone (feel free to have your character defy this btw) -welcome back to [member=9408]Mistrim[/member] and welcome to [member=15890]MAKARIY[/member] [member=411]HEBI .[/member] [member=341]HISOKA[/member] c: -[member=12578]﹝ CLONY ﹞[/member] is being offered a promotion to Warden, congratulations to them ^^ -combat training, first aid training, a memorial for Thorntree, and cave expedition part 2 electric boogaloo will all be hosted and linked here soon -anyone who wants to swear in, just say so in your reply ^^ -I rewrote this meeting due to the Cardinal Sect raid being retconned, so don't worry about any of the lockdown stuff that was brought up in the original meeting Re: never seen a view like the earth from the stars -- assembly 8/5 - Mistrim - 08-05-2020
MISTRIM
—Tomorrow is another day— ——And you won't have to hide away——
—Mistrim was anxious. She had been anxious for quite a few days now. Her arrival at Elysium had been quite uneventful in regards to questioning. Perhaps it was because they just didn’t care or because Mistrim had not seen many group members who she knew previously. Either way, she was holding her breath because even with all the time in the world, Mistrim wouldn’t be able to explain herself. As to why she left in a time of possible need that is. The meeting worried her. It made her think there was a possibility that she could be called out by Rin. Although it seemed that was not the case. Maybe she was saving it for when they were alone? Mistrim couldn’t tell if that would be better or worse. Patrols were advised...well doesn’t that sound familiar...She realised that she didn’t like that idea. She placed her trust in the people around her plenty of times but it would only take one time for them to take advantage of it. She learned while she was away that she would still have to be careful around everyone. The thought made her shift her wings uncomfortably despite being a little further from the majority of the crowd. It took a moment for her to realise that all that was being said about her was a welcome. Nothing seemed to be unusual about it but it still caused Mistrim to sigh and avoid the gaze of Rin in favor of glancing at the rocks by her front paws. Promotions and swear ins next...things that made her unsure of where she truly stood in the group now that she was back from her disappearance. Perhaps she should try to help with the trainings? Get back on Elysium’s good side? The rest of the meeting, Mistrim spent half listening while she made to-do lists in the dirt and tried to ignore the hard knot that hurt her chest. She thought that coming back would be better but it seemed it would still be a hard road.— ——Elysium — Decurion — Speak in #C2BEEC —— © madi
Re: never seen a view like the earth from the stars -- assembly 8/5 - fulzanin - 08-06-2020 CLONY [ age mover of the oblivions ] Meetings were cool. They were a good way to recognize new faces that they didn't know quite yet, to figure out who they could make aware of the amazement of lasers. Their wings brought them over, shuffling along with eyes wide with bright delight. Sure, that delight was faltered at the memory of stumbling upon a murder, but it was something they could push off, if with a bit of struggle. They had so many questions, but couldn't help a small nod of their head. A patrol of three was a decent size, and they were certain they could find a couple willing people to go venturing off with them from time to time. Certainly more than willing to attend other people's patrols as well. New people had to learn the territory, did they not? A promotion brought back an excited buzz to the bat's mind. Their large ears twitched and rose, tail wagging slowly behind them. "Oh- thank you! I'll do my best, I promise you that!" They chatter, giving a bounce of their form as if it would allow them a hefty sense of assurance behind their words. A little bit upset that the cave exploration was halted - which was a shame, they really would have loved to have gotten around to singing the cave song for the first time. That could be saved for later, after combat training and all that other apparently equally as important stuff. TAGS 7/6/20: |
