I KNOW IT'S TODAY / diya - ROXANNE R. - 07-22-2020 [glow=white,1,400]I LOVE YOU, CANNIBAL QUEEN ! — 。+゚.[/glow]
Despite being quite busy with her extra duties, Roxanne tried making time for those close to her and well, she wanted to try and spend time with some of the people that had either joined or returned to the group. Her mind set on Diya recalling how she had come back, a soft sigh leaving her parted maw beginning to wonder where the stark feline was. The temporary Captain walking about the beach before her gaze surveying her surroundings only to finally spot the femme she had been looking for in that moment, she would hold her breath unsure of what to do. She was supposed to be the brave captain but after so many failed attempts at romance, Roxanne Roux had grown cowardly and felt as if she just lost her ability to carry for someone in such a manner again... Until Diya had returned once more, her whiskers would twitch lightly only to take a few steps back. She supposed that she was a coward but Roxie decided that she would try catching up with Diya despite that long time that the other had been gone. With a shake of her head, the Officer would slowly make her way over towards the larger femme with her tail lashing behind her. "Hello Diya," Roxanne began with a soft purr leaving her, she perked both of her ears forwards offering the other a warm smile. She could feel her heart racing within her chest but she did her best in trying to ignore it as she would continue to speak to her fellow crewmate "How're you doing? Are you settling back in again nicely?" There was a brief pause deciding to let her inquiries sink in until she would open her maw once more to speak "I was wondering if you'd like to catch up with one another over some tea. Of course, if you're too busy then I understand." She didn't want to become a nuisance to Diya just when the other had just returned, she nibbled the inner bit of her right cheek rather nervously. Relax Rox, she thought to herself trying not to worry or overthink things too much. Diya sat, paws tucked under her chest, eyes staring vacantly across the ocean. Her mind was in other places, reflecting. SHe often did this, just sat and thought about the past, dreaming of a time long ago. Now though, her mind was focusing on more recent times. While she was gone, Diya had done a lot of self-reflection and had realized several things. One of these thing was, in fact, she was head over heels in love with Roxanne and she didn't know how to handle it. The others were not as important or impactal as such a thing. She had brewed over this fact for a long time, hemming and hawing as of what to do. Her decision? Nothing. She knew that Roxanne was busy and raising several kids, she probably wasn't interested in a relationship, especially with Diya. As the objection of her affections and her thoughts approached, she found herself scrambling to sit up, giving her chest a few quick licks to groom it before the munchkin reached her. "Hey Pop Rox!" greeted the tall feline, a soft smile lighting up her face. She would listen to the other speak, surprised at her questions. "I'm doing good! I uh, I guess I'm settling back in alright? Haven't really picked a place to say yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out," she mused, head tilting to the side as she thought aloud. She shook her head, bringing herself back to the present conversation. At the offer of tea, her ears perked. "I would love that, absolutely!" God, was her own fur unruly? She was uncertain though that didn't seem to matter at the moment as the Officer sucked in a deep breath only to be greeted by Diya with her usual nickname. Pop Rox, it was a cute nickname and well, Roxanne personally liked it. No one had ever called her that before and it held a special place in her heart right to next to the nickname of Annie which had been given to her by her brother, Pincher Roux, though he wasn't here anymore to call her that. She was mostly known and recognized as Rox or Roxie so, getting a new nickname was rather refreshing to her to say the least. Her heart would flutter within her chest unable to stop smiling in that moment but eventually Diya broke her train of through and would listen to the answers given to her, a twitch of her whiskers only to tilt her head to the side. "That's good to hear though... I'll likely have to move from my own home at some point as well... Seeing as the meteor shower did a number on it... Poor house of mine," The last bit was mumbled out and her gaze was distant though Roxanne would turn around slowly with a lash of her tail and nodding in the direction of where her home was located. It would be nice to catch up with Diya after the time she had been gone, the Officer was usually busy or tried to keep herself busy especially since her own kids had their own things to do and possibly mentors to train them. Nudging the door open of her house, Roxanne would let Diya go through first and if the stark feline did so, the draconic feline made her way to the kitchen making sure not to run into that bucket that had some water from the last rainstorm. A soft breath brushing past her lips as she put some tea to brew for both herself and Diya only to check in the fridge for any baked goodies she had saved, she knew that her children liked her sweets and sometimes, Roxie wouldn't find any. Which was fine though she, at least, wanted to treat Diya to something nice while they had tea. Sadly, there didn't seem to be anything so she closed the door. The Officer returned to the living room and sat at the small table there glancing at the other. Eventually, she opened her maw to start a conversation "So, do you have any plans for the future? Or goals?" [glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: I KNOW IT'S TODAY / diya - Simon F.M. - 08-18-2020 [align=center] [align=center]

Diya followed after Roxanne, giving the sea one last lingering glance. "It's truly a shame what happened," she mused, unsure of what to say. She hadn't really had a place she called home to be destroyed by the meteor, nothing to be broken or destroyed when the world fell apart around them. As they entered the home, she would situate in the living room, awaiting the return of her friend. She felt a pang in her heart as she looked around the house. While it had never been her home, it had housed her for many nights when she first arrived. A sigh left her as she shook her head, disappointed by the state of the house. She didn't even think it was repairable at this point, it was too far gone. And Roxanne had been living here? That couldn't have been good for her. "Are the kiddos still around?" she called out as the other was still in the kitchen. Seeing the other finally return, she smiled warmly. She would await Roxanne at the table, watching with interest. Roxanne's question through her off and it took her a minute to collect herself. Plans for the future? She couldn't help but shrug, gaze moving to stare off past the other. After a long moment, a sigh rumbled out of her chest. "Plans for the future? Not much, honestly..." She would be silent a moment longer before dropping her gaze to the table. "Once upon a time, I dreamed of traveling the world, tracking down what remains of my family..." Diya shook her head. "I quickly realized it was a foolish plight, with no leads to follow. So, its just me in a lonesome family of one." She would give a bitter laugh and shake her head, looking up at Roxanne. "So no, no future plans as of right now, though that may change." BUBBLEGUM: |
