There were a few things to be misinterpreted about Caustic. His sociopathic tendencies had it's own problems, but above uh, the scientist is egotistical and prideful. He cared for few things in his life- himself and the pursuit of knowledge. More precisely, his own studies in Thantology. It was a wound, however. If Caustic wrote papers or documentation about this society, no one would ever see it. There was nothing to do the research for but himself.

Perhaps, that could work, Caustic's previous fixation on his magnum opus compound was only for himself and the competitors in the ring. Death and it's process is stunning. More reasons Caustic kept to himself- his twisted worldview could only be understood by a few and horrified everyone else. People were to be used in Caustic's grand design. It's part of what he's doing now, reading through animal encyclopedias within the libary. Though he would never admit to such ignorance, had never seen alligators before coming to Tanglewood. Though his stay was now... somewhat permanent, he might as well learn more about the fauna. More importantly- how much venom it would take to kill them. |
