RED WINE SUCCESS && reconstruction - hollows creek ! - 05-25-2020
it was time to get to work now. real work. hollow's creek had spent enough time familiarizing himself with the land and its inhabitants, he was ready to give back to them now. the only appropriate action was doing as told by their captain, of course. when she had called for their communitive efforts to rebuild whatever they had before the destruction, he had already made up his mind how he would participate. it only made sense he helped with the more physical laboring work, at least to him. after becoming accustom to the material they had on hand, holly had gone out to the dilapidated shacks and huts and got to work. whatever homes were left salvageable he patched using what was left from what couldn't be saved. he didn't want to waste anything that could still be used, which unfortunately... wasn't much. so much wood was waterlogged or splintered beyond use that it wouldn't be safe to use. after realizing it wouldn't be realistic to expect this to be enough, holly had gone into the tempest to retrieve some tools to help him use whatever the jungle had to offer. he tacked a small sign by the tavern, a simple calling for any abled bodies to help, before spreading out the wood, vines and stones he had collected and getting back to work. Re: RED WINE SUCCESS && reconstruction - michael t. - 05-27-2020 Michael wasn't really a big fan of work. At least not physically taxing work. That was why he had always been the ideas man. He was the one who was good at planning heists and using his brains for good – or evil, really – and he knew it. Thus, he always had other people around to do this kind of stuff for him. However, the privateer owed a hell of a lot to The Typhoon, and even though at first he hadn't really been able to do anything because of his concussion, he knew he had to give back somehow. His first step had been planting herbs for Roan and Ahab, but that didn't feel like enough. Sure, it had smeared his paws with dirt and made him smell of herbs for days, but it still didn't compare to everything everyone else had been doing. He didn't want to be lazy... at least for a little while. He could go back to his extravagant and greedy ways once this was all over and dealt with, and their group had finally recovered properly. When Michael had initially seen the sign posted at the tavern, he had been... hesitant. Mainly because he was a small feline, and didn't exactly have a great deal of muscles rippling beneath his thick pelt. However, perhaps there was something smaller that Hollow could find for him to do. With this in mind, the bobcat had turned away from the tavern and went off to go and find Hollow, following the scent trail that led away from the posting. When he eventually found the other surrounded by wood, vines, and stones, he cleared his throat to grab his attention, mumbling as he eyed the supplies, "Hey. Hollow, you were the one that put that sign up, right? I'm here to be put to work... well, moderately be put to work. I'm not quite as big as some of the others around here." He hated saying that out loud, but it was true. He knew he was on the smaller side of things, and pretty much the only ones within the group shorter than him were Roxie and the kids.
