EVERYWHERE I GO // open, joining - DANTE NORTHWEST. - 05-03-2020

SMOKED A PACK OR TWO, IT NEVER WAS A PROBLEM —
Well shit, what the hell happened to The Pitt? The last time Dante had been here, the forest had not been partially burned down. It was a shame because the forest actually gave him some comfort, because the desert irritated his gills; at least, with the forest, he could find proper water and relax there. A shame, but Dante supposed he could get used to the change. The hybrid creature yawned, briefly setting aside his cigarette as he opened his mouth. All he could do right now was wait, which was perfectly fine to him.

GAEL Ó BROIN
Once more, the vulpine found himself approaching an unfamiliar face.  The hybrid before him seemed to be an adult however, unlike his most recent encounter -- he lacked the prevailing scent of any of the Pitt's neighbors as well.

The vulpine twitched his ears, hazel eyes quick to note the feline-hybrid most likely felt uncomfortable under the sun; the presence of gills suggested an unfortunate preference for moisture.  The Pitt retained half of their jungle, at least.

Gael held back a frown at the sight of a cigarette -- disdain for smoke more than ingrained within the faerie.  Instead, he focused on addressing the stranger, voice impassive.  "Who are you?  And why have you come here?"

A small, black fox with red tinged fur was the first to approach. A small creature compared to Dante, but perhaps that may be just due to how big he was compared to most felines. Dante snorted as he heard Gael's questions. "That's not very friendly." He mused, though the smile on his face tried to convey that he meant nothing bad by his words. "Dante Northwest is the name. I'm here to join." Well technically speaking, rejoin, but he had been gone for over two years at this point, so would this really be considered him rejoining?

GAEL Ó BROIN
The vulpine found his ears twitching -- indifference remaining in his level gaze.  At least, straight to the point, Dante appeared to be a joiner.  A fact that meant good news for the Pitt, considering their current population mostly consisted of children.

His head inclined forward in a simple nod. "I am Gael Ó Broin -- Vicar of the Pitt; you may ask me any questions if you have them.  You should know you will be welcomed in as a Debutante, for the time being, until you have proven yourself to be a Pittian in full."

"I can escort you to the camp, if you like.  Or, do you have any questions first?"

The news of being a Debutante didn't seem to fly well with Dante; the hybrid huffed and flicked his long tail, eyes narrowing. "Whaddya mean, 'prove myself'?" He grunted. "That's an insult. I don't expect any one to remember me, but damn. I used t' be a high position here." He didn't do anything important during his time at The Pitt, so he wasn't particularly surprised nor bothered that he wasn't remembered. Dante put the cigarette back in between his fangs, inhaling a bit before he huffed the smoke back out, "Whatever, I suppose. Lead the way."

GAEL Ó BROIN
A previous member of the Pitt?  Briefly, the faerie's brows creased -- former Pittians may feel more inclined, as Caesar had been, to return the Pitt to violent 'glory'; inciting trouble.  All the more reason, he muses, for Kydobi's newest editions to their ranking system.

"Recent events have changed how things are conducted here," the vulpine pointed out simply -- the burnt jungle he began padding towards provided the most physical proof of that unfortunately.

Curious, Gael wondered when exactly, the hybrid had been a high position.  Present for the past year, the faerie did not recognize him or his name.  The Pitt Dante remembered, must be incredibly different now.

"Who was Ardent during your time here?" History was, to Gael at least, essential knowledge.

Dante couldn't read Gael's thoughts, but perhaps if he could, he would've been amused by the fox's thoughts. Although he had a tendency to be gruff and aggressive, he was a loyal person to whomever was leading. Dante tilted his head at Gael's question, trying to recall the Ardents he has went through. "I was originally here when Yes Man led, he created The Pitt." He mused, though if he recalled correctly, Yes Man did not last very long. "But I was a high position under Stryker, if that's what you're asking." That dude was crazy, but definitely someone Dante looked up to.

Visitors had been heavily prevalent over joiners recently. It was quite the predicament, Piers would say, from the standpoint of the relations on the island. Most of these groups despised the Pitt as a memory, as a feeling. To have someone willingly walk up and join was a new event. So, upon seeing Dante and Gael together, Piers picking himself up and walked over. His body was getting larger by the day, and he could tell it wasn't going to slow very soon. Luckily, he wasn't as imposing in size as his father.

The words of Stryker caused his ears to twitch and flick. When he lived in Tanglewood, Aurum had been rather.. unhappy about those words, if he had remembered correctly. Perhaps Dante wouldn't be.. of the same caliber. As Piers approached, he spoke. "I hope I'm not interrupting the conversation. My name is Piers." He prompted, joining the group of two in their walk back towards camp. The scent of smoke, however, made his nose wrinkle.

[OOC: ]

As the trio neared the camp Kydobi would catch wind and decide to head over to see who the strange scent belonged to.

He had no clue as of what was happening or who Dante was. But if he had he would certainly be cautious. Kydobi was always wary of people from the Pitt’s past because they seemed to be of the same variety as Jervis. Unwilling to change.!Their bullheaded habits of attempting to stick to the old ways often caused problems. At least Caesar did.

However Kydobi didn’t know who Dante was but he could tell the odd hybrid was either a visitor or a joiner. He gave them all his usual dip of the head and a smile.

“I’m Kydobi, the Ardent of the Pitt. May i ask who you are?”

It was funny to watch others' reactions to his smoking habit. Most seemed to show clear disdain or outright disgust when they saw him smoking, though Dante was glad that nobody has said anything yet. "Not at all." Dante replied to Piers before his gaze flickered to a large jaguar approaching them.

"Dante Northwest." Dante stated once more, not minding too much. After all, they were going to the camp and Gael had been the only one to greet him at the time. "I'm here to join The Pitt. Or rejoin, I suppose. It's been over two years since I've been here." He shrugged.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
