RIP AND SMASH THROUGH THE HORNET'S NEST // o, joining - CAESAR CIPHER. - 04-29-2020

THERE IS NO LIFE, THERE IS NO SPARK !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE PITT. DWELLER.
Holy shit, he was exhausted. The trek from the desert was tiring to say the least, not to mention Caesar already had a bad habit of not taking care of his mortal body anyway. His previous savannah body had died of its wounds a while back and Caesar left it to the vultures in The Pitt, where he promptly possessed another savannah body. He had to be comfortable, of course, and he refused to possess any other sort of feline body unless he absolutely had to.

Unfortunately, this left the dream demon spiritually drained. Caesar wasn't sure where the hell he was heading at this point and he collapsed a few paces from The Elysium's border. His mind was whirlling and he couldn't tell if he was standing up or laying down at this point. Honestly, he just... wanted to sleep right now. But he was at the very least safe from The Pitt and that's all that mattered to him right now.

Another exhausted stranger at the border. There'd been a lot of those lately -- granted, "a lot" was actually very few, Elysium just tended to get .. very few visitors.
This is Videogames' main takeaway from Caesar, on first sight -- I mean, besides the fact that there was another serval-aligned person. Why were there so many? Were they just ... a lot more common than his youth in Moonlight Vale had led him to believe?
He really needs to stop fixating on that.
"Are you, uh, okay?" The serval chirrups, frowning. It's not as carefully worded as he'd like -- his head has been foggy lately, making it harder to do all of that ... cool manipulation he does to make people feel better, or whatever. The serval is nervous as he paces around to where the other was, leaving a careful amount of space inbetween them so as to not crowd the other. They don't look injured, if nothing else. "You're at Elysium border. You can, uh, probably rest here, if you want. Do you need water?" Contextless and admittedly confused, Videogames was more fixated on seeing if he could help.
.. Assuming the other was even coherent enough to answer him. If not, though, Videogames would probably just see about dragging him back himself.

[font=trebuchet ms]A cat on the border, collapsed, smelling of sand and vultures... Rin refused to follow that thought to any of its logical conclusions. Jogging over to the other two, she watched as Videogames spoke to the stranger, examining the fallen form for any signs of life. She thought she could still see breathing, but little else. He was, almost certainly, unconscious.

He was probably too large for her to carry with her telekinesis, so either she or Videogames would have to drag him back if he didn't wake up. Hopefully, some water would give him enough strength to walk. "If you'll watch the trees to make sure no one attacks him, I'll go get water," she said to Videogames, twitching her ears. Without waiting for a response, she turned and headed for the river- if she filled some moss with river water, that'd be enough to both wake the stranger and hydrate him.

She could figure out who this stranger at the border was once they got him away from the border. For all she knew, the beast that slaughtered the two deer could be lurking, see him as easy pickings in his weakened state, and attack.

THERE IS NO LIFE, THERE IS NO SPARK !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. NO GROUP. NO RANK.
Caesar was definitely conscious despite how he looked, though he didn't want to be right now. Groaning at hearing a voice, the demon slowly raised his head and blinked at the first person that approached him. The sight of a serval surprised him and briefly, Caesar was reminded of his father. Videogame's body seem to shift into the older serval, and Caesar looked alarmed for a few heartbeats. "Pa?" His voice was shaky, and perhaps to the outsider, it may be because of his current state. But rather, it was simply due to the fact that Caesar felt guilty.

It was a horrible feeling, almost like someone was clawing at his throat. Caesar blinked as he fought back tears. He can't show weakness. He mustn't show weakness. This was something he taught himself, not something his father had raised him. But oh, how Caesar felt horrible. He left his father to die, burning in flames. He shakily reached a paw forward, as if trying to reach out to his father, but pulled back as the hallucination faltered. Before him stood the same serval - Videogames - as before and another feline that Caesar didn't recognize. Caesar flattened his ears and grit his teeth, glaring at the two Elysium members before him.

The two offered to get water and Caesar was reminded of how parched this body was. It was a shame that mortal bodies required such needless things, but he supposed it would be better to try and take care of it now before he just stopped completely. "Yeah, I'll... have water." Before he even answered though, the black-and-white cat who was here had already gone off. "... Thanks." He was hesitant and was angry at himself for showing a moment of weakness. If they asked, he certainly wasn't going to go into detail.

2D knew very little about clan relations. Up until very recently, he had just been a loner, with no knowledge of what the major groups even believed in, or who was allied with or enemies with who. He didn't know about the Pitt, so someone collapsed on their border with the scent of sand and vultures clinging to their fur meant very little to him. He just felt a faint sense of concern as he moved over, having been drawn over by the clumped scent of several other Elysites. His black eyes might've been gleaming with some sense of worry within them, if it weren't for the fact that they remained dark, blood filled pits. At least he wasn't the only unusual looking one here, given the new male's bright yellow pelt and odd patterning. 2D might've felt a sense of kinship with the other, if he knew just a bit more about Caesar, beyond just how the other had shown up and collapsed on their border. At least he wasn't dead. That would've been a rather unpleasant surprise for any of them to stumble upon one morning, especially for 2D. He would've had absolutely no idea how to deal with a corpse at the border, besides just burying it deep beneath the snow and letting it decompose. However, that was probably the more cowardly thing to do, rather than figuring out where the body had come from.

Shaking his mind away from the hypothetical, the serval raised a paw to wave awkwardly at Caesar, a gap toothed grin upon his muzzle, "Uh, 'ey fere, mister." The awkward accent slipped free from his mouth easily, everpresent as always. He could only hope that it wouldn't aggravate Caesar too much in his collapsed state. The singer glanced back at Rin's retreating form and Vid for a moment before he sat back on his haunches, his head tilting to one side as he spoke, "Since Rin is gettin' y'some water, could y'tell us y'r name? Y'seem like maybe you could use a place t'stay." It was just his assumption, considering how Caesar had shown up on their border in his current state. He could've been wrong, of course. For all he knew, Caesar was a loner, same as he was before he had come here. Although 2D had always been in a fairly well off state during his lonerhood. Not presumably exhausted and hungry like this guy was.

Another serval approached, although luckily this one didn't cause Caesar to be met with his past. Perhaps it was the other strange color or maybe it was simply because he was more aware, Caesar wasn't entirely sure. Regardless, the savannah was glad that he didn't have to deal with another hallucination. "Caesar. My name is Caesar Cipher." He stated. Clearly these two didn't know him, which was... a good thing.

[font=trebuchet ms]As she returned, waterlogged moss in tow, she could see he was... sort-of awake by now, surrounded by Videogames and now 2D. Consciousness was a good sign, but he would still need hydration. Walking over to him, she set down the moss in front of him, then stepped back to give him space to drink.

"Caesar. My name is Caesar Cipher."

The name resounded in her head in an uncomfortably familiar way. She could've sworn she'd heard it before, and not in a positive context, but... where? It had to have been over a year ago, if she couldn't remember it clearly- or maybe she wasn't remembering it clearly because her memory had rotted over the years, but regardless. It didn't matter right now. He needed to be taken away from the border and to safety, then she could figure out where she'd seen him before.

"...Rin," she said finally, her eyes watching the shadows behind him intently. "Can you walk any further?"

If there was one thing Caesar noticed, it was the way Warringkingdoms seemed to be on edge. The other feline was constantly looking in the distance and Caesar had half the mind to say something, but as far as he was aware... There was nothing else here. Not that he knew of, anyway. He blinked at the moss Rin brought, almost as if he were confused at what to do with it, before he lapped at it. The water was fresh and it felt strangely satisfying to him (probably due to how he constantly neglected his bodies). His body shivered at the taste, relieved to get some sort of needed substance.

Walk? Caesar looked up at Rin at her words. "Yeah... I should be able to walk." There wasn't really a reason he couldn't right? The savannah grabbed the moss in his jaws, slowly getting to his paws. His legs shook but otherwise, he seemed to be stable. He flicked an ear, trying to signal that he was ready for wherever these Elysium members wanted to take him.
