What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.
Name: Keter.

The danger is in a particular location. It increases towards a center. The center of danger is here. Of a particular size and shape, and below us.
Species: Wolfdog. The specifics seem unclear.
Size: Average.
They carry themself carefully, quietly drifting from place to place, not unlike a ghost. They smell vaguely foreign, a scent near-forgotten by the dogs of these lands. They wear a broken radio collar, some failed human invention that seems to have been made to transmit information. All it seems to do anymore is click and stutter the closer they move towards the swamp. They have given up on removing it, but let their curiosity regarding the noise guide them.
The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours. The danger is to the body, and it can kill.
Keter is a shy creature. They tend to avoid others, just as others avoid them. They were dumped onto the island some time ago, abandoned with some odd human device attached to them, reeking of the great beasts. In an attempt get the smell off, they rolled in some dirty water. This set off the contraption, and ultimately destroyed it.
Removed from those they knew and loved, they are very lonely. Since being abducted, they have been skittish, watching around every corner, especially given that the island is entirely unfamiliar to them. They've made it a small goal, to figure out where exactly the device is leading them. If it's leading them at all. Why it exists.
Why them.
So they travel quietly, hunting where they can, resting. Hoping for some kind of solution. Aching to be rid of the machine just as much as they want to find out what the damn thing is for.
The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.
