EVANGELINE SARAY SCHAEFER — a two-year-old crewmate of the typhoon, firstborn daughter of aleksei muerte verte and guenevere kamala schaefer. she is generally seen assuming the form of a cream-colored saluki with golden eyes, white pupils, and feathered drop-ears. she stands three-and-a-half feet at the withers. a thick, golden stripe dappled with white spots span the length of her spine, from the back of her skull to the tip of her tail, and it's noticeably warm to the touch. this is also the only part of her body where flowers are unable to grow. gills can be found on both sides of her neck, but the flaps remain tightly sealed unless she's underwater.

MORTALITY, EYES OF THE BEYOND — evangeline comes from a distant land known as the beyond, the land of mist, or the palace of mist. it is described to be a sea of cloudy nothingness permeated only by a large, wooden throne carved into the tallest tree, which is said to see all. she had been a member of the voyagers, seeking to chart the extent of the kingdom's border, but an accident may have separated her from her group and brought her elsewhere; she does not recall what had happened, only that she had woken up on the beach with a wounded paw.
