A DATE WITH DEATH // Caesar - APHRA CIPHER . - 04-17-2020

There was something nagging at Aphra for a while, and she finally got the nerve to get up and go search for her father. After all of the events that has been happening between The Pitt and The Typhoon, there was something inside Aphra that was begging her to go talk to Caesar and see what was going on. So the she-cat left her home at night, knowing that it was when Caesar tended to be active (that's what he was like when he was in The Typhoon, anyway) and slunk off towards the jungle that The Pitt found themselves in.

The jungle The Pitt resides in was ragged, a sign that it had gone through something terrible. Aphra wasn't sure if Caesar was around whenever this event happened, but she hoped that he ended up okay after everything. Aphra wasn't even sure what had happened to cause The Pitt's jungle to be in such state, but that wasn't really any of her business, was it?[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

THERE IS NO LIFE, THERE IS NO SPARK !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE PITT. DWELLER.
Caesar mostly never really traveled outside to the jungle very much, but its burned remains made him strangely feel more at home. The state of the forest reminded him of himself, almost; broken and battered, but still surviving. Caesar's body was still recovering from Trygve's attack, though his limp from getting ever so slightly better in the past couple of days. But he needed time away from his clanmates, who clearly didn't want him there. The Typhoon, at the very least, seemed to have tolerated him and seemed to be amused by his antics. The Pitt, on the other hand, had everyone at his throat - including the leader. It was exhausting, really, so Caesar found himself wandering around the territory without really having a set place in mind.

A stark white she-cat wandering the jungle is an easy thing to spot, but what drove Caesar closer was when he scented the harsh tang of the ocean on the air. His lips peeled back at the familiar scent, before he leaped at the female that was trespassing their territory, easily pinning her down with his forepaws.  Kydobi told everyone not to attack strangers unless they were clearly a threat, but quite frankly, Caesar couldn't care less at this moment. He was tired of The Pitt being thrown around and seen as something weak to the point where children from their enemies came seeking refuge with them. Caesar dug his claws into the pirate's skin, wearing her yelp with pain. With his claws dangerously close to her throat (which already bore a scar, he noted), Caesar snarled, "I'll give you two seconds to explain why you are here."

Oh, how he wanted to tear into her skin right here and now. And truthfully, what was stopping him? Maybe it was Kydobi's threat of punishing those who went against him, especially given how injured he was right now. It doesn't matter though, he's already spoken and depending on what the girl responded with, he would finish the job.

Perhaps it was Aphra's fault for not being on her guard as much, but she wasn't expecting someone to attack her. Maybe it was also due to how The Typhoon operated as well; most visitors happened to reach the gate before anything else, but if not, The Typhoon would only ever react if they were a clear threat. Aphra was sure she was trying to seem like she was only here for peaceful matters, but obviously that wasn't enough. Bright yellow flashed in the corner of her vision before she found herself being pinned to the ground by a large feline. Aphra let out a yelp of pain as their claws dug into the healed wound on her neck and she instinctively held in her breath, waiting for the other to end her life.

But it never came. Instead, her attacker threatened her with a growl and she blinked in surprise. Her attacker stared down at her with cold, black eyes, and suddenly memories of these same eyes flooded back. "Caesar!" She gasped, hoping that he would lighten his grip upon hearing his name. It didn't, but at the very least it didn't tighten. Aphra flattened her ears, seeing Caesar glaring down at her with rage. "It's me, Aphra..." Surely he remembered his favorite daughter, right? He had to. Aphra wanted to kick him off of her oh so badly, and her instinct screamed at her to defend herself, but she fought that feeling back as much as she could. It was obvious that Caesar was already injured, given how he swayed in the wind. He wasn't putting pressure down on one of his hind paws, and Aphra assumed that it was either broken or badly injured somehow. Not to mention, she didn't see the savannah's tail lashing about.

Eventually Caesar stepped back and he narrowed his eyes at her, clearly expecting Aphra to explain why she was here. Aphra sat up and let out the breath she was holding, trying to silently recover from his attack. "I... wanted to talk to you." She went on, frowning. "Is it true that you attacked Trygve?"[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Hearing the she-cat call his name came as a surprise, and Caesar had to take a minute to finally recognize who this feline was. It was his daughter, Aphra, but Caesar didn't lighten up his grip on her. Actually, the fact that she was still in The Typhoon despite his exile only made him angrier. Caesar grit his teeth together upon her saying her name in such a pleading voice and eventually he decided to let her get up. He stood back from her, narrowing his eyes at her while she recollected herself and explained why she was here, of all places.

"Is it true that you attacked Trygve?" At that question, one of Caesar's ears flicked. He subconsciously dug his claws into the ground at the mention of Trygve's name. "So what if it is?" He responded with a shrug, trying to cool himself down. This was his kid, for fuck's sake - but oddly enough, he felt no attachment to her. She was his daughter, nothing more; nothing less. And yet, he couldn't find himself to attack her as much as he wanted to. Aphra seemed horrified at his answer, and he shrugged again. "You can't expect me to have any sort of sympathy for the enemy. Especially from the group that exiled me." He was trying to hint at how disappointed he was at Aphra here. "He was trespassing. I had the right to attack." The fact that he had gotten injured - and nearly killed the second time - by the cub was something he wasn't going to mention.

Of course Aphra was horrified at his response; this was a child that he attacked! Not to mention, the child of someone that she was very slowly starting to develop a crush on. Aphra blinked at Caesar in surprise, wrapping her long tail around her paws. "So what?" She huffed. "Caesar, he... he's a kid!" She couldn't believe she had to explain why injuring such a young person was bad, but yet here they were. Caesar and Aphra held each others' gaze for a while before Aphra finally mustered the strength to go on, "No, you didn't! He's only a kid, what more harm could he do?"

In response, Caesar lashed out at her once more. The savannah's claws raked across her shoulder and she stumbled backwards in surprise. Her father prowled towards her, his teeth bared at her in a snarl. He growled about how that was her chance to run, and that she ruined that. He lifted up one of his forepaws, preparing to strike again. Aphra cowered, flattening her ears as he neared her. "W-wait!" She cried out. "Caesar, wait! You wouldn't hurt your favorite daughter, would you?" Maybe he forgot his words long ago; about how she was always his favorite. Aphra was hoping this would at least spare her more pain and she closed her eyes, willing at the sky to prevent Caesar from attacking her. [glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Aphra doesn't get it. That was disappointing, to say the least. Caesar was disgusted by how soft his daughter had turned and he lashed out at her in anger. The feeling of his claws breaking her skin felt good and this strange sense of pride washed over him as he watched Aphra stumble back in pain. She began to plead at him to stop and Caesar let out a snort at her words. "I have no children." No, all of his kids were clearly pussies - both literally and figuratively. Horizon wasn't a feline, but he had no drive to murder those in cold blood; Gordon, Fakhira, and Billiam were far too pathetic to even be considered a Cipher, and Aphra was now proving that she was the same. At one point, she was Caesar's favorite child, that was true. But it was clear that she did not care for him the moment she stayed in The Typhoon after he was exiled.

"Leave before I rip you from limb-to-limb." Caesar hissed. The oriental longhair only blinked at him in surprise, tears slowly falling down her face. With another disgusted snort, Caesar tried to lash out at her again, but Aphra was able to scramble to her paws and flee. Caesar watched her leave with satisfaction, before a frown formed on his maw as soon as she left his field of vision. Truthfully, he wanted to love her as he once did, but no... Aphra made her choice in staying in The Typhoon and he was going to make sure she regretted it.
