Sweeney had been more and more curious about the territory of Tanglewood ever since she had made her way over there only a few days prior. There had been animals there she'd never seen before, and, not to mention, the thought of crocodiles that she hadn't seen while there intrigued her. Though those were the reasons she would tell others why she'd gone over there in order to save her ass from the wrath of her siblings, Sweeney mostly had been itnerested in going back to see Atticus once more, save she was able to find him that was. She hadn't talked to the other child for long, but she had saw something in him that she hadn't seen in the other children around the Pitt, something that she liked. He was able to put up with her words after having known her for a few minutes at that point - or so it had seemed he'd been able to do, she wasn't too sure to be honest - and she liked that. He didn't run away and cry to his parents and gotten her in trouble. Sneaking back out of the Pitt, the child made her way once more over to Tanglewood, sneaking into the territory after crossing the border of the trees and swamp, ears pricked and mouth open as she searched for the feline. The thought of the girl, Sweeney she said her name was, had been on his mind. Her vivacious tone had intrigued him. Despite what seemed like a cruel intent, an undertone of caring laid within her. Atticus could almost tell. Even so, he cautioned himself. His parents didn't like The Pitt clearly, nor did the others within the clan. Even so, his opinion varied. While the group may have a reputation, that didn't mean everyone was aligned with such. Sweeney could be one of those outcasts. Willing to break free from his own restrictions, he didn't let that stop him. They would meet again.
With his hopes raised, the grey kitten escaped from his home once again. Moth and Selby failed to notice. Thus, into the underbrush he went. As he edged further and further out into the territory, the familiar scent of the dry group became clearer. He paced closer, sure to stick to the shadows. The rustling of the bushes at the border alerted Atticus, causing his head to look over from his path. The familiar pelt of the fox met his yellow gaze. "Sweeney?" he enthused. "I- uh- you're not supposed to be here." But wasn't that the point? "I mean, not like that is a problem." It was pleasant to see her again. At this point, she was his only acquaintance. His family didn't count. Aurum, Leroy, and the rest of Tanglewood haven't acclimated with him yet either. She was expecting to have read him wrong the last time she was here, but it seemed as though she hadn't as far as she knew. He was friendly despite her intentions last time, and he didn't quite care that she was in Tanglewood.
She liked that. Listening to his words, she would soon sit, front paws sat together with the back stretched out for a moment. "I got bored at home, and wanted to come back..." She would speak, drifting off for a moment. She would not mention it was Atticus that had brought her back, she was far too stubborn to admit that. [align=center]text | "speech" Re: LOVE AND POISON ALL THE SAME;; private - Atticus - Atticus Roux - 05-03-2020 The grey tabby merely pinned his ears to the back of his head. He was unsure on what to say. Did he have to kick her out? The Pitt didn't seem all that bad. Atticus didn't know the atrocities they committed, nor their devilish past. His only interaction with their kind was Sweeney. She wasn't all that bad either, despite the mouth on her. In fact, he liked it. It felt like... being a rebel. Childish and unmature, the kitten liked that concept. After all, he'd been escaping his home already. Why would a little fox make anything worse?
Upon his decision, the Tanglewooder offered a hesitant smile. "Yeah, home is lame," he casually responded. "Explains why I'm out here, I guess." Yellow eyes looked away for a second. Tanglewood's territory lacked a certain amount of pizzaz, especially for a murky swamp. Despite that, the opportunity for them to bond was always a good one. Atticus couldn't help his curiosity. "Maybe uh- we could do something? I can maybe show you around and you can do the same for me later..." Exploring her own clan couldn't be so bad (minus the heads on the border and the excessive heat from the surrounding desert). /it's really been that long since i've been sick, yikes |
