I feel the hunger [p, Raymond] - CAUSTIC. - 03-25-2020

Hunting was getting a little easier with each successive catch, at least. Practice would only perfect him and the wolf had no desire to ask for help on the skill from any of the other members. A grown wolf who did not know how to hunt would make them ask too many questions, would open him to telling the clan about his life or who he was, and he couldn't have that. It was his business.
He moves, twisting his paw into the rabbit's neck, applying further pressure  as it stares up at him with fearful eyes.
"Don't look for sympathy, you won't find it," he muses, watching as the rabbit's eyes roll into the back of its head and it passes out under his grip.
Words from a past time, he mused, something that Caustic would have to say as he killed someone, something nice for the camera. It made him feel... empty, now.
He rolls his shoulders, releasing the rabbit from his grip and inspecting it lightly.

Re: I feel the hunger [p, Raymond] - Orion - 04-06-2020

Succumbing to the environment when you were abysmal and seen as useless was challenging.  Raymond knew that. After his swift escape during the fire, he felt like he was drowning swiftly in reality. What faith he had left inside his mind slowly drained off into nothingness. Eventually, there was not a soul left. The abused jaguar had to fend for himself. In times of need, he leeched off what he could. In truth, his mischief was unbearable. These days, Raymond merely tried to put those events past him, but they always caught up to him. His demons always lurked. Whether Caustic's own trouble was due to mistreatment or inability to function, he would never know.

To avoid the dark overcast of his looming thoughts, Raymond always found himself keeping busy. Whether that was drinking, hunting, or simply exploring the area, he was always satisfied. In spirit of that, he decided to wander about today. The jaguar moved through the strange swamp, green eyes surveying the area carefully. Head low and ears pinned back, he found himself focused at a shadow in the distance. The strange figure loomed over something, muttering words of deceit. As he trailed closer, the familiar wolf faded into view. While he was surprised, this was nothing in comparison to walking in on Roxanne's cannibalistic actions.

Emerging from the bushes, he loomed closer towards Caustic. Coming up from behind, the jaguar let out a nonchalant sigh. "Never thought someone killing a rabbit could be so... dramatic," Raymond drawled casually. "What'd he do? Give you rabies, darling?" A joking smirk appeared across his maw momentarily. It quickly faded though. Hunting wasn't usually this exciting.

He could smell Raymond before he could hear him. The scent is unfamiliar to him, but Caustic shifts to stand over his test subject. It’s a protective motion, and hearing the panther isn’t hard, either. Raymond’s paw steps were heavy, and Caustic turns to face the panther when he drew to close. He takes a step back, creating some distance between them, rolling the rabbit back with his paw.

Caustic takes a moment, his mind tumbling over responses like a dryer setting, trying to pick the best one that wouldn’t screw him over. ”No,” okay, great start, keep going- "I don’t like to bite them.” It’s savagery Caustic is uncomfortable with. Succumbing to the Wolf’s Desires was a step too far. The Wolf wanted to rip and tear, sink it’s teeth into flesh and devour it. It was feral in all manners, as Caustic’s brain constantly grappled with it in a dual of wills inside his brain.

"It’s just... so savage.”
