It was a fact of life Keona felt relatively familiar with. Even if they could be stressful at times.

Recently however, the gatherings had begun to include the Roux family. It made sense of course. It made the young girl more antsy. More people to keep track of. More potential for drama too. She thought Séamus and Kian were enough. She invited Salem for backup. And to badger him about any new books he'd picked up. Maybe he was already there. She could hear familiar voices as she followed the sidewalk up to the park, Fala dutifully leading the way. The husky was excited, as far as Keona could tell. She'd taken care to bring a few snacks to add to the table. Just a few simple things in the basket she carried. Green apple slices. Graham crackers. Turkey and ham sandwiches. "Aloha," she offered up quietly, deciding she'd figure out who was all here before setting up her blanket on the grass. © MADI Re: ROUNDTABLE RIVAL [★] PICNIC - michael t. - 03-23-2020 Michael wasn't technically considered to be a member of the Roux family. Although Roxie had taken him in as her brother a while ago, Goldie had taken one simple look at the thieving man Roxie had found herself attached to and had said quite the resounding no fucking way. Despite this, Roxie had decided to make it her goal to include him in things, including a rather large picnic that the Roux family apparently participated in. He'd been a little bit nervous at first, pointing out that he was a man that several people very much disliked, and also that his people skills were rather hit or miss, but Roxie had just patted him on the head and shoved him along. So, now the male was sitting casually with everyone else, slightly uncomfortable as he shifted around in his button up shirt. Roxie was chattering away beside him as always, but Michael was very much looking up and down everyone who showed up, his eyes scanning for any signs of anything shiny or valuable – even if he wasn't planning on actually stealing anything, scout's honor. When Keona arrived, Michael's mismatched gaze moved over to her, blinking at the blind girl before he spoke, waving despite the fact she couldn't see his greeting, "Hey there. You're... Keona, right? I'm Michael. Uh, Rox brought me." He figured he might as well offer an explanation, since he was essentially a complete stranger to Keona. He wasn't, though, and as far as making friends here went, the only time someone had bothered to come say hi to him was when he was injured. It made him feel... alone. Unliked. What had he already done here that was so wrong? He couldn't think of anything wicked he did to make people hate him. Octane knew he was too fast for some people, knew he couldn't slow down for them, but why was no one trying? Was he so awful on the outside? He runs his tongue between his teeth, chirping as he approaches. He moves to the table, tail flicking and letting a crooning "rrrr" sound leave him as he overviews the food. "Hey, this, uh, looks pretty nice!" He was trying. Re: ROUNDTABLE RIVAL [★] PICNIC - Jameson - 03-30-2020 [div style="font-family: arial; font-size: 15px; width: 60%; text-align: justify; line-height:120%"] Jamie had been born into a.. fairly large family. He'd never needed to look to find attention, or affection, or his mama. He'd always been loved and nursed and nurtured, so the idea that somebody didn't have anything like that was sad to him. While it was overwhelming sometimes, he wouldn't trade his family for anything. Of course, he didn't need to be that enthusiastic about them either, especially when the family grew to include another. There were so many people to meet n remember, so many things to try and not forget about them, it was hard. He usually stayed away from stuff like big family meetings unless his siblings were there, but he was sorta hungry today and there wasn't anything better to do, so he made his way over. Attention on the food more than the people, the small cub would plunk himself down beside Keona. "Aluha!" He didn't really know what she had said. "I'm Jamie. Could I please have a sandwich?" He was a growing boy, needed that ham and cheese. |
