HANDS OF A THIEF ☆ goldie - hushsound. - 03-19-2020 It was odd, being awake again after so many days spent in a deep sleep, barely aware of the world around him. When he had been in his coma, it had felt as if he was in an entirely different world, where he was a whole different person, and none of the souls he had come to know ever existed. However, he had been able to remember everything about the Typhoon, and had spent every waking – or not so waking – moment attempting to get back to them. Fighting to get back into the arms of Kilius, and talk casually with Keona, and feel at home with Goldie. The wolf had admired Goldie ever since the first day he had met her, and that hadn't changed when he had fallen asleep, right after she had established herself as temporary leader of the Pitt. What she had done was incredibly brave, and he could only really ever imagine being as strong as she was. He wanted to be a hero like her, one day, but he'd never be able to do that if he was stuck inside his own head all the time, which was why he had fought his way out.
It had been several hours since he had woken up, disoriented, dehydrated, and starving. Thankfully it hadn't taken long for him to see a few familiar faces, and to get the food and water he so desperately needed, but there was still one face among them that he was longing to see – Goldie. It had taken a bit of gentle nudging for the hero of the wilds to get the information he was looking for, but eventually he had been informed which hut was Goldie's, having forgotten after so much time "away." The male looked a little bit better as he crossed through the sands towards Goldie's home, but he was still hardly anywhere near what he had been before the coma. His fur seemed to hang off of his bones, and the markings beneath his eyes had seemingly taken on a sickly eyebag nature. Despite this, the canine still found himself excited as he padded up to the door of Goldie's house, his tail swinging behind him as he rose a paw to knock on the door, "G... Goldie, are you home?" His voice was still fairly hoarse, both from months of disuse and his body recovering from dehydration – along with the fact he had never used it much in the first place. Not because of what had happened to her – although the circumstances definitely weren't great – but because of the fact that she would ever think he'd be disappointed in her or turn away from her for what had happened. The pregnancy or the attack, or both. Neither were important to him, although they were both important on some level – he just didn't see them as reasons to reject someone who was practically family to him. He'd never be made to look at her as lesser, especially not just because she had been taken off guard by a surprise attack. Hush had been a knight – he had a sense of honor and loyalty that was ironclad, and although finding out about Goldie's pregnancy and what had happened to her would be a shock, it would be far from the end of the world that the captain was making it out to be in her head. Then again, it seemed as though Goldie knew full well just how much she could be overreacting, if her past interactions with others, such as Sam, were anything to go by.
When the door to Goldie's home finally opened, Hush felt a rush of relief and joy, as if he had been terrified she had disappeared out from under his nose. Even if he had been reassured by several others that Goldenluxury was indeed still leader of the Typhoon, it hadn't felt real until he had seen her in person once again. Once the initial rush of adrenaline and euphoria wore off, the canine allowed himself to truly see her, his eyes scanning over her form and taking in the hesitant way she held herself. He felt worry, but obviously the thing that caught his eye the most was her belly. That definitely wasn't just a little bit of extra weight. He stared for a moment, but quickly tore his gaze away, not wanting to be rude after just coming back. After he glanced back upwards, he found himself being pulled into a hug that he gladly returned, a soft laugh leaving him as he briefly closed his eyes. He mumbled softly after a moment, a faint smile on his muzzle, "I did... but I much preferred waking up, even though I didn't exactly feel spectacular when I did." His voice was still scratchy, and it cracked at certain points, but it wasn't as if his paws were free at this moment. [glow=black,2,300]FOR YOU HAVE A DEMON TO SLAY[/glow] |
