SET THE STAGE FOR LINK'S ☆ awakening - hushsound. - 03-15-2020 Darkness.
That is all there had been, for a while. An ever expanding plane of darkness that somehow seemed so vast and yet so suffocating at the same time. Then, there had been water. So much water, in towering, terrifying waves that rose up and threatened to swallow him whole. Water that was dark, and violent, and nothing like the gentle waves that he had come to know lapping at the shores of The Typhoon. Everything after that felt like a blur, with only fuzzy details coming into focus, on occasion. Desperate hands, grasping for purchase on rope he believed would save him. Soft sand beneath his hands and knees, and a foreign sky up above. An island, unfamiliar and new, so different from home. New friends, and new enemies, and a giant towering mountain far up above, with a colorful egg atop it. A girl's voice, soft and sweet and sad, bidding him goodbye. A hand squeezing his, and the soft murmur of goodbye, Link. I hope you make it home. And then, light. A painful gasp left his lungs when he awoke, his paws desperately scrabbling against wooden flooring as he came to. His body lurched upwards, yearning for movement after so much time idle. Every bone in his form ached, and there was an odd chill that reached down to his very bones despite the fur that clung to him. He felt simultaneously so incredibly motivated and so incredibly devastated that it felt like everything was going to come crashing in on him. The wolf tried to push himself to his feet, wondering how long he had been out, only for his legs to give a screech of protest, and his slim form to collide with the ground once again. A wheeze left him, his blue eyes staring upward as the Typhoon's ship lurched silently from side to side around him. He was still in his room, at the very least, but he was far from the condition he had come inside of it in. The room wasn't in great shape either, with a thin layer of dust covering seemingly everywhere he could see, and an odd blank space where he knew Kilius had once been curled up beside him. The hero took another deep breath inward, his eyes falling shut briefly as he thought of what he had missed. What he had been so desperately trying to get back to for what had felt like weeks, but in reality had been months. The Typhoon. Goldie. Kilius. Keona. His paws stretched out in front of him, fumbling around before they found what he had been searching for – his blade. He pulled the sword closer, pushing the tip into the wood beneath him and pressing upwards until his finally began to move, shifting until he could get his back legs underneath him again. It fell to the ground with a clatter beside him once he was upright, using all of his willpower to push himself the rest of the way up. His body felt so weak, with his throat and stomach howling desperately for both food and water, the absence of both having been keenly noted with months of wear and tear, his fur practically hanging off of him. He took a few unsteady steps forward, pushing stubbornly through the nausea and exhaustion that tempted him back towards sleep once again. He had been sleeping for long enough. Far too long, honestly. A soft grunt left the canine as he pushed the door to his room open, leaning heavily against the wall as he made his way out of the ship, his paws carrying him on autopilot. Even after months of being in a coma, he could still remember the Typhoon like the back of his paw. It was his home, after all. Soon enough, he found his way onto the deck, stumbling down onto the docks and then forward, into the sand. His front paws gave out temporarily, his muzzle connecting with the sand as he fell forward gracelessly, groaning in response. He pushed himself up again, brushing sand from his face as he looked around, desperately searching for any sign of a familiar face. How long had he been out? Was everyone he knew gone? The thought made his heart sink, and he found himself howling, his lungs aching in protest as he called desperately from the sand, "Goldie? Goldie! Keona? Kilius? Is anybody there? Is anyone still here?" His voice was hoarse from months of disuse, and his already scratchy throat was more than a little unhappy with his yelling, but every word held a hint of desperation and sadness, as if the hero was terrified at the prospect of getting the answers to his questions. The Irishman quickly decided it hardly meant anything dangerous and rose to follow the sound. A crewmate in trouble ought to deserve some attention -- though Séamus didn't entirely recognize the sound of the frantic voice, or the stumbling wolf it belonged to."Hey there." The pirate offered softly enough, tail flicking behind him. "No need to look so panicked. 'm sure, Sibi will be 'ere in a moment. Goldie probably heard ya too." Even if Keona had not heard the unfamiliar wolf, somehow, the small feline made sure to tug gently on their mental link. The faerie opted to guess the wolf must've been a new edition during his time spying within the Pitt. Even as his sea-green eyes took a moment to scan the canine, he failed to place a name to the face. Well then. "Ya aight, friend?" Roxanne, much like Seamus, was gone around the time when there had been new additions to the crew. Though for her own reasons that had been influenced thanks to the Irishman, even after that one night she had kept a ways from her home until she had been ready to come back. It was a shame that she wouldn't meet any of the new faces that had come along seeing as they were either gone just as her once. Though the sound of someone calling her niece's name made a small frown appear on her maw, the draconic jaguar was still a bit weak on her feet after delivering her cubs and losing quite a bit of blood. A soft sigh brushing against her dark lips as her shaking paws led her over and was met with an unfamiliar face and Seamus. A nonexistent eyebrow lifting a bit to see that the lupine was in horrible shape and nodded slowly in agreement to Seamus' statement of Goldie having heard the wolf. She was aware that her niece would be a bit slow on her paws since well, it wasn't going to be long until the tigress was due for her own children. She would turn to Seamus with a light nod "I'm going to go get him some water, Seamus." She uttered as she would briefly depart the scene to retrieve water and possibly some food for the boy resting in the sand. It didn't take her too long to return with some water and a plump rabbit, she would nudge both towards Hushsound. She felt like she had met him before but she was not certain nonetheless, she would offer him a gentle smile. "Here," [glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] Re: SET THE STAGE FOR LINK'S ☆ awakening - fulzanin - 03-17-2020 Blits was a newcomer. He didn't really know of any persons that he had yet to interact with. Especially not those that had been locked away in a coma for an elongated period of time. The sinornithosaurus came trotting over, tail somewhat dragging behind him. His form cringed a little - that certainly wasn't the epitome of health right there, stumbling around. His teeth bit into his cheek, worry flickering through his orange gaze. "I think he needs food, too," Blits chattered. He wasn't sure exactly what creature the other was, and therefore he wasn't about to assume any form of dietary needs that would be required. He shuffled on his feet, gaze flicking rapidly back and forth. "Uh, at least he's not really hurt, right? Just doesn't look all that healthy," he trailed off with a small and rolled movement of a wing.

Much less with great volume and desperation. The tiny Dealer caught it through the open window of the Sky parlor. Little rounded ears perked, brows creasing in surprise and uncertainty. Hushsound?Could it really be the quiet wolf? She had not heard from him since... Keona scrambled away from the book she had been reading and made for the door. With a lashing tail she hopped down the stairs, grumbling once or twice as she nearly collided with a tavern patron, and quickly darted outside, nearly tripping on her own paws. Her pale hues flashed, following her father's tug and slipping past everyone to the canine she sought. "Hushsound?" It was him, she knew it. Thank the seas. She hadn't known what to expect when he had fallen asleep the way he had. So unresponsive. She thought her friend was gone. He had just required some time, she supposed. For whatever had happened to him. She didn't understand comas. How could one live, completely asleep, for so long? She just wanted Hushsound to be okay. "… I'm still 'ere." Re: SET THE STAGE FOR LINK'S ☆ awakening - hushsound. - 03-18-2020 Hush felt a faint sense of relief, at least at first, by who the first face to greet him was. It was someone he recognized, or at least someone he thought he recognized. In his mind, that was Kian, the kind man who had helped him pick out a home and deal with things back when he had been a new crew member. In reality, it was Seamus, who, although he was being very kind, ultimately wouldn't be of much comfort to the wolf. Turning his gaze towards Seamus, Hushsound found himself mumbling hoarsely, "Kian...? No, not Kian..." The voice... the voice didn't sound quite the same. He smiled a bit apologetically at the male, before he murmured hesitantly, "I'm... I'm okay. Although... I have been asleep for a very long time, I think..." He pressed a paw gently to his chest, feeling both the Hylian charm that rested against it and the heartbeat beneath. He was alive, that much at least was true. But he felt... distant. Detached. Nothing had truly clicked back into place yet.
Looking towards Roxie and Blits, he looked the two unfamiliar faces over before his gaze darted down to the food and water that the draconic feline had returned with. Letting out a relieved noise, he immediately lapped up as much water as he could get without feeling sick, his throat practically singing at the sustenance. Jaws still dribbling with water, he mumbled as he straightened back up, "Thank you... thank you so much. I am Hushsound. I was a member here for... a while, actually. But then I... fell asleep." The explanation felt lackluster, but Hush honestly didn't have a full explanation for himself yet either. Why had he suddenly fallen into a coma without so much as a warning? He had no idea, and that continued to leave him unsettled. He was about to dig into the rabbit he had been brought, eager to sate his hunger as well, when Keona appeared. He took am unsteady step towards the much smaller feline, barking as he lowered himself down, "Keona... I'm so glad to see you're still here... how long have I been out?" He had missed her so much, as well as Goldie, Kian, and of course, Kilius. His eyes raised up to scan behind Keona, wondering if perhaps he could catch a glimpse of his red furred lover, only to come up empty pawed. [glow=black,2,300]FOR YOU HAVE A DEMON TO SLAY[/glow] |
