CONTAINMENT BREACH [P, BRAINCELL GANG] - CAUSTIC. - 03-13-2020 Overall, Tanglewood was a vast improvement over the Pitt. The desert clan had been racked by beatings from its enemies, it was a decaying clan with little left to show for itself. When Caustic was there, he was one of the few adults around, the food was in low quantities, and no one stayed. None of these things were his responsibility in any capacity, nor did Caustic want any duties here. His plan for the time being was to do the minimum possible in order to remain a member, and no more. He wanted to fix the portal maker, get out of here, and then never have to think about this entire dimension again. Caustic desired his former self, despite its age and respiratory issues. Caustic's eyes went to his paw, outreaching for a book on electronics. He spared a glance at his prosthetic fingers, giving a grumble. He pulled the book out a little with his paw, then released it from its confines by grabbing the hard cover with his teeth. He had made a small stack on a nearby table already, marking where he had got them from on the shelves with rulers. Caustic had pulled a history book, another on plants, and this last one on electronics. It would help get an idea of where this dimension was, what events had transpired, so on. Perhaps the other two books would shed light on what technology was available to him, here. He could barely identify most of the parts in the junkyard, but they were vital. He placed the book on the table, giving a sigh as the future creaked under his weight. Caustic let his eyes roam around the decrepit building, noting the tree that grow into the library. This building and the mess hall was one of the few places Caustic was known to roam. He rarely left his own home outside of basic needs, and he liked it that way. Jokes aside, Caustic was a lone wolf. He desperately valued his privacy, and wanted the clan members to stay out of his business. He tried to sit in the seat, pulling one of the books onto its back and flipping it open with a paw. The Wolf was uncomfortable with Caustic's need to retain his human mannerisms. It hated how he slept in a bed and used his manners and- he sighed. Caustic rubbed his face with a paw, trying to shake away his thoughts, and tilted his head downward to begin reading.
