Though Julian was always tired, today he couldn't really wrap his mind around things. He'd heard that there were a few Feverfew field near the western border from a little birdie, but after Aslisk temporarily banning everyone from going outside; not that he ever roamed outside these walls. Still, the thought of a greater force constricting him from even the thought of ever leaving these moss and glass crowded walls. Nevertheless, he had to respect Aslisk's decision. It wasn't just for the safety of the Halls, it was for... Nope that was about it. Though, Julian was grown; he couldn't argue with the wyvren. Not that he didn't want to, he'd love to strike up a good argument , it was because he didn't have the authority to. A sigh pulled at the mans lips, he was overthinking was tiresome; he'd no need to think about it. The cavil man frowned. Julian stood up from the chair that had been shoved behind a desk, maybe he'd clean this place up a little? His hands raced along the wooden handle of a broom, pulling it towards him. Sweeping broken glass and dirt mounts away, Julian smiled a bit. ASLISK - wyvern - powers - halls of hiraeth - harbringer - hot shot Aslisk certainly was no stranger to being holed up in places. Less than pleasant were the memories of childhood and being confined to one room for days on end. She'd gotten over it. It was bearable. Besides, now she was the one enforcing such a thing. It was on her own terms, and it was not one single room. She could go outside and wander between the buildings that constituted the camp if she so desired. Today was going to be some form of a break day for her, before she prepared to go flinging herself across the continent to speak with groups that the past leader had established bonds with. Nothing too difficult, the trips. It would be not pissing everyone off that would be her struggle. Aslisk was certain that if she kept a leash on her words, all would be well. Hopefully. Probably. Webbed ears were perfect for picking up noise. They were quite big, and allowed for easy access to triangulation to find the origin of noise. Her head craned a little, coming around the corner and a few more paces. "Someone's found something useful to do," the wyvern chatters, red eyes watching the small plumes of the dust from the floor being disturbed and moved along. Her tail swung behind her in a manner lacking care. Now that the limb wasn't constantly on fire, it became easier to move around and without any form of fear. "You missed a spot," she then cheekily states, her head gesturing vaguely to some spot on the floor that the other hadn't even gotten around to yet. Cockily she grins, her words lacking the usual venom behind them. A calm day, one that she certainly was grateful for. The wyren was not the first person he'd want in here, but Julian couldn't exactly kick her out. "What, am i not useful enough?" he joked. He began to sweep near Aslisk, only smiling when he got close to her feet. Julian almost wished she hadn't spoken her next sentance. She was right, he had missed the entire other side of the room. Even so, a snicker dripped from his lips. He kicked up the broom, dust and dirt flying across the room. The brooms bristles, soft from age, smacked Aslisk's shoulder. He drew back the broom, pulling the chair towards him incase he needed to throw that too. Julian grabbed a Dogbane sapling in his other hand; the hand that held the broom. A small laugh fell from the mans mouth, Julian needed to loosen up every once in a while. Being the 'sternfaced hardass' all the time got old and he needed a change of pace. Not the he didnt enjoy the slow pace of which his life ran, it got tiresome. "I think i got it." ASLISK - wyvern - powers - halls of hiraeth - harbringer - hot shot Hearing the other's joking tone allowed for Aslisk to know that her words had not been perceived as horrifically harsh. Her tail slowly curls behind her, ears wriggling to intake the snickering noise. She watches him grow closer, sweeping near her feet. When her shoulder is smacked, the Harbringer sputters, flames briefly flickering from her maw. While the fire is not a constant burden as it had been prior, it was still enough of a nuisance for the wyvern to be disgruntled from the lack of absolute control. They sputtered out as quickly as they appeared, disgruntling her further nonetheless. "If you have nothing better to do than hit me with a broom," Aslisk grumbled, "then yes." Her red eyes watched the other tug on the chair, snorting and rolling her eyes shortly after. Silly, the cleric was, but Aslisk supposed such a thing couldn't be helped. The Harbringer's attention returned to watching the other sweep. The dust being stirred up warranted a sneeze, head shaking briefly afterwards. "Mmm. Are you sure? I think a see a few centimeters of dirt still lingering around," Aslisk rumbles, her talons carrying her forward to look for one of the spots she proclaimed to exist. Gently the talon of her wing tapped against a random spot on the floor. "What prompted you to start sweeping, anyways? Are you going to clean the entire building? Top to bottom?" She inquired with a soft tilt of her head accompanying her words. Since her talons were connected to wings, and her wings were connected to her shoulder and, obviously, connected to her neck and so on and so forth. It'd only take a few steps to smack her had and make her hit her snout on the floor. A snicker dripped from his lips. "You had dust on you," he shrugged. The man glanced up at Aslisk, a smile plastered to his face. "Don't you want to be clean?" Continuing his sweep, Julian made sure to sweep at the spot she had pointed to; just in case she had been right. "Well this place was starting to look and smell like a shithole and dried lavender so," setting his hands and chin on the broom, Julian balanced his weight on it as he stopped sweeping to look at her. "I thought i'd make it a bit more.." Julian tapped his chin dramatically. "Roomy?" Finishing the last corner Julian layed the broom by the hickory bookshelf, books and viles and bowls adorned the shelves along with his flower crowns, red beetle broach, and an odd blue filled vile. Maybe he should clean the entire place? Maybe it'd be good for him; keep him from sleeping for two days strait. "Well if it keeps me from hibernating, then hell," he joked. "I'll clean this place top to bottom. Maybe find out what's behind that other bookshelf in the West Wing." ASLISK - wyvern - powers - halls of hiraeth - harbringer - hot shot While Aslisk's physical form did have its weaknesses, the wyvern was aware of them. While she easily could be taken down with a few whacks, it was simply laying down and taking it that would result in such an easy defeat. The wyvern prided herself on her prowess of fighting - of killing more specifically. "I will clean myself in my own ways," Aslisk grumbled in response, her wings shuffling a little to find a more comfortable position to rest in. Her red eyes watched where the other began to sweep where she had gestured. A snort came from her, watched the dirt move away from the broom and in the directions of the movement. "Who's the one who let it get that way?" She commented cheekily, rolling her red eyes. "Moving dirt around doesn't change the dimensions of the hasking room," the Harbringer added on, her webbed ears wriggling a little. Her red eyes then rolled as she watched the other lean on the broom. She anticipated for him to fall but alas, the cleric did not. It was more for humor rather than harm. Comedic, but it sadly did not occur. A chuckle happened to never come due to such. A disappointment, truly. Aslisk's red gaze briefly turned to the items upon the shelves. Flowers? Seemed normal. The blue vial grabbed her interest in particular. It would be something to ponder over later. Perhaps when the other wasn't here, where her other powers could allow her the sneakiest methods to figure out what had warranted the creation of a blue liquid. What it was, too, was equally as creating a form of curiosity. "Probably dust," Aslisk grunted in relation to what was likely to be behind a bookshelf. "You'd better not hibernate. Someone gets a splinter, I really don't want to have to light you on fire to wake you up," she chattered, head lowering a little after completing her words. TAGS 11/19/19: |
