you know you want it- new body - deimos - 03-03-2020
The change from the normally overcast, and grim skies of Tanglewood to the sudden brightness of the island felt very sudden, very harsh. But it wasn't like Samantha hadn't known it from the multiple trips back and forth, just to visit her girlfriend. The bright white sands, the colorful reefs, the abundance of fish, the sounds of the rainforest- it was very alive compared to the deep and dark places of the Tanglewood. Yet, had Sam known that wherever she went there would be that dark cloud, she wouldn't have left at all. She knew that someone was after Goldie now. It was burning in her lungs, like acid on her tongue, the asthma in this body limiting her. She had been resting on the white sands, picking sand out from between her pawpads when her eyes caught sight of her leg again. Her eyes blinked for a moment, and she growled beneath her breath. Sam knew she couldn't protect anybody like this. She knew that, like that burning in her lungs telling her she couldn't run right now, couldn't breath. It was like laughing at her. Not to mention the draw of going cold turkey. She left her cigarettes behind, her scent slowing becoming masked by the jungle, the slight stink of nicotine no longer clinging to her pelt. She shook as she stood, starting to head down the beach, pacing, breathing heavy. She couldn't bear it. The tingling, the pain all over her body. She cried out as she toppled over, suddenly, racing thoughts bringing it all down to one point, exploding as she screeched. Sam's shoulders bent, her body rippling with muscle, and suddenly, it was calm. One clear cry of a seagull overhead made her eye peak open. Green optics flicked about the beach, and the doberman's ears lay flat against her head, the nub of a tail barely wiggling. She rolled over, then cursed as her limbs smacked the ground. What limbs. Her head picked up, turning towards the set of grand wings on her back, massive, dragging the sand around. Wings! She cursed, jumping onto her paws. The wings flapped around uselessly, twitching and moving about wildly, creating minor wind gusts with each movement. Sam reached up with one paw- hey, I'm taller now, imagine that- and brushed at her ears, then her antlers. She exhaled. At least she had that. // tl;dr she's got a male doberman body now, winged similar to a red tailed hawk. she still has her antlers. "SPEECH" Re: you know you want it- new body - michael t. - 03-03-2020 Michael was a pretty big fan of the environment that The Typhoon offered. The fugitive had spent many a day moving from place to place, forced to adapt quickly as he moved between space to space with new, unpleasant conditions. Usually he had been living beneath a thick canopy of trees, the sun blotted out as he and Trevor set up dirty, temporary camps, scrapped together from anything they managed to find. By comparison, the Typhoon was a paradise, with the sun in the sky and the sand beneath his paw pads. He wasn't able to truly appreciate sunbathing yet, thanks to the fact that most of his body was still covered in a mummy's share of bandages, but he still enjoyed the heat constantly soaking into his pelt, and the breeze that he could feel when he leaned out on his porch. He didn't care very much for the tangy saltwater smell that clung to everything thanks to living right next to the sea, but usually the thick smell of gasoline that followed Trevor around like a cloud blocked that out, so he didn't have to worry about it too much. As such, Michael could often be found near the beach, occasionally just going on walks when he felt the motivation to do so. As of late he had been spending more and more time inside, distracted by Trevor or his new little family of rats he had to take care of, but he still made time for the occasional constitutional, figuring it was good for his aching muscles to get some time not in a curled up position. The bobcat had been on one of these walks when he spotted Sam, the female looking overwhelmingly frustrated with something. He didn't know much about Sam, besides the fact that she was from Tanglewood, had been injured when she arrived, and meant a great deal to Goldie, but he still found a frown pulling at his muzzle, slightly concerned. Had she been hurt again? As if on cue, Sam toppled over right after his mental question, and Michael felt a startled gasp leave him, his paws beginning to carry him towards her. He only got halfway there, however, before she let out a screech, her body shifting almost violently before his very eyes. The con man found himself frozen for a moment, just staring at the slightly disturbing scene before him. It was only when Sam began to flail around awkwardly, seemingly stunned by the new change, that Michael was finally able to force himself forward again. His steps were almost robotic, jerky and reluctant as he grew close, meowing softly, "Erm... are you alright? That looked... really fuckin' unpleasant, honestly. Is that like... a regular thing?" [glow=#75603C,1,000]" oh, it's a setup, no, no, we won't fall. "[/glow] Re: you know you want it- new body - fulzanin - 03-04-2020 Winding up in an odd place warranted exploration. Blits would do such a thing. He was looking for a chicken, looking for his boyfriend, all while trying to understand the world that he'd essentially been dropped into. The beach was nice, and such was for several reasons. It gave him a sense of direction, limiting how far he could wander. It also served as a nice reminder to turn around when his sprinting led to him crashing into the ocean due to blindly charging around. His mind not registering everything certainly wasn't the most helpful in such an incident. Hearing a sudden screech warranted for him to pivot and slow down.
"I heard screaming?" Cautiously Blits speaks, coming to a halt a good few of his body lengths away. His paws are curled close to himself, watching the fumbling around and feeling for horns and wings commence. Why? He hadn't seen the brutal transformation. Such was likely for the better, for the hybrid could be quite squeamish at times. His wings shift a little, the talons that functioned as fingers scratching briefly at his feathers as if to ease up the nerves. "Are they hurt or something? I heard screaming and got worried," Blits adds on, his orange eyes flickering briefly towards Michael before returning to the recently transformed person. What wasn't unpleasant? Were the horns causing for aches? He wasn't sure that the issue is, talons digging into the sand as if it would help his unrelenting confusion. The sound of screeching made the draconic jaguar perk up and it took her a moment to realize who it was. She would move forward as fast as her legs could carry her despite the growing weight of her belly, only time could tell before it would be time for her to be relieved of the weight. Her mismatched gaze fixating onto Michael and Blits only to realize they were staring at a wingers doberman rid she find a small frown on her maw. She hadn't seen one of those type of canines since her brother, Pincher, it made bittersweet memories resurface although she let them linger for a moment before shoving them to the depths of her mind. Her nonexistent eyebrows furrowed before one of them would lift, huh, usually shapeshifting wasn't so painful then again Roxanne had been so accustomed to it by now. Greed found it to be weird but he didn't complain about it. Finally brushing up against Michael in her way of greeting him, her gaze would lock onto Sam and took in their new form. It was still pretty easy to tell it was her or well, him now. Roxanne would sit down tilting her head to the side with a faint smile on her maw "Well... Look at you, got a new body and a pair of wings to go with it." She doubted that Sam actually knew how to fly with those things but she was sure that her niece would be excited to teach her girlfriend how to fly once she wasn't pregnant either, Roxie knew she wouldn't be flying for a good while due to her one broken appendage that hung at her side uselessly. Her wings pulled in tight as Michael spoke to her. Her head turned, ears flattening down a little bit, that stubby tail of hers still and her paws shifting. His, her, whatever. The male bodied doberman sniffed the air gently, her eyes narorwing a bit before she responded, her teeth flashing in the light. "It's not pleasant. Do you think it is?" She said, shaking sand off of her pelt. Was that a stupid question of what? Shiiiit. Her eyes scanned him for a moment, before another person came to speak to her. Her eyes shifted to the.. thing that landed, a frown twisting across her muzzle. She snorted gently. "Yeah, y' did." She shook her head. Congratulations, she supposed? Some sarcasm dripped off of her next words, seeing as Blits refused to say anything towards her. "No, they are not hurt. Yes, it did hurt them but they are fine." Her nose twitched, and with a tch she turned away, looking back towards her wings. Her ears flattened some at this however. Flight was one thing that Sam swore she didn't want to lean into right at the moment, and it was the only thing that she was given. She hadn't even bothered to check inbetween her legs. Mistmatched eyes addressed Goldie's aunt, however, as she approached. She sighed gently, as if relieved that this person here too wasn't going to either pity her or worry about her. Well, that was nice at least. "Yeah. Somethin' like that. Doesn't mean I'm going to use the wings, I guess.. but how would I get back into my old body?" She questioned, looking towards Roxie. A blink came across her face for a moment, before a sharp inhale occurred and Sam held her breath. It looked as if she was straining to change back, but there was no way that would happen. "SPEECH" |
