Tonight, something would happen. Something wonderful. The Southern part of the territory was cleared, finally. The fire was built. New life had been born just days before, on the start of a new year, and had been moved from dams to their new caretakers.Call Me Mr. Rattlebone A crack, a gurgle. Then an eerie silence. It was a brilliant, quiet day in the heart of Woestyn. Olalla lay in the dappled moonlight between the trees, watching the landscape in front of him as the clouds rolled on. It was too quiet here, too peaceful. Olalla resented it. The smell of the crackling wood against the fire, the wine and food. Tonight would shape itself.. Olalla stretched his body out, claws digging deep into the soil as his back arched and popped. He stood, yellow eyes looking out over the land. If he wanted to build his empire, he would need to start with an army. Able bodies, compliance, structure. Minds to manipulate into doing his bidding. Loyalty. Those things would come with time, but for now, a recruitment was in order. The crackle of the fire brought a smile to his face. He moved with a purpose towards a small table he'd passed early that smelled strongly of salmon. A small taste wouldn't hurt, a claw snatched a slice. It swayed and the flavors danced across his tongue as he chewed. Olalla couldn't eat now, he had bonfire to attend to. The dark beast climbed up on the tall, flattened rock formation. "Food and warmth is provided, your presence is preferred!" |
