eternal flame- open, tangler - deimos - 02-23-2020 {little bit of a blood warning!} The journey here had nearly killed her. Limping, blood still dripping time to time from her haunch, the partially attached leg sickly and not taking well. She was exhausted, and felt sick again. The wolf that had torn her leg free had caused her pain, so much pain. The fact she had tried to leave right after that, wasn't good. It really wasn't good. But the alternative was so much worse. Tanglewood, no, Leroy had invited the Pitt right into their home. The very place she had been avoiding, the very place that she had nightmares about. But no, justified and 'innocent' Pittians were invited to become part of Tanglewood. She felt sick. Sam saw the railroad starting to poke from the grass, this well-walked path. She knew where it lead, she had been here before, flew over it with Gold. Her eyes softened for a moment. To begin with, she had really just been walking, but now she supposed she should commit. The Brannon felt a twisting guilt for just walking away from Tanglewood, but if she announced she was leaving, Beck, Aurum- they would have given her hell, in the form of grief. But the rest of them, the people she didn't know as well, she'd hate to have to talk to. They'd just shame her for being "not strong enough." That made her sick as well. So once she had made it to the border of the Typhoon, heading towards the gate, she toppled over. Her ragged, matted, dirty pelt rose and fell with troubled breaths. Beck had saved her life, then Isaac reattaching her leg- however, she couldn't survive like this. Her skin felt like it was burning. She groaned, her eyes rolling into her head and ears pressing flat against her head. "Roux.. y' had better..." She couldn't finish her sentence, feeling like she was about to lose what meager food she had ate on the way here. The beast that had taken her strength. She knew where he was, what he felt. The pain he was going through, feeling lost and scared- and Sam couldn't blame him. But someone she could worry about, because she didn't know, was Goldie. Sam' didn't know that the wounded beast had came here, torn someone of Goldie's own family up- no, Sam was far out of the loop, between Leroy's recently declaration and her leg being.. torn free and reattached. She managed to lift her eyes up as Goldie approached, suddenly, looking as tired as ever, ears flattening. The frown, the grit teeth- pain, in her features, and Sam felt sick with guilt. Maybe she should've stayed home. Maybe she shouldn't have come here, laying more worry into Goldie. Her ears unflattened as Gold spoke. "Nice.. t' see you too.." She tried to push herself up, ignoring her possible and clear need for rest. Mismatched eyes tiredly lifted to Goldie. She sighed gently, relaxing and almost falling into Goldie tiredly as their heads pressed together. She managed to mumble an explanation. "Direwolf tore m' leg off. He.. was feral. Made him wake up or something. Someone reattached my leg and.. and Leroy-" She choked up, coughing, wheezing, before turning her head with hurt eyes. "Leroy invited Pittian deserters into Tanglewood. Pretty much free of charge." She looked back at Goldie, her ears flattening. "SPEECH" Re: eternal flame- open, tangler - bubblegum - 02-25-2020 Re: eternal flame- open, tangler - deimos - 02-25-2020
Sam took the paw gratefully, pressing up against her as she came up. She felt her lover tense up, and Sam's ears flattened gently. Something had happened, and from the bitter taste in the air suddenly, she knew it was bad. Her eyes lifted towards Gold's own for a moment, waiting for her to process, but all she was getting was sorries. She huffed gently, slightly dejected that Goldie didn't agree with her that it was a bad thing. But, she supposed Goldie was allowed to do that. However, her stomach turned as Goldie spoke more, held her closer, then at a slight distance, worry pressed in her eyes. Sam stared back at her, giving a slight blink for a moment, before flattening her ears knowingly. Something was wrong. Something that could tear them apart levels of run. Sam wanted to run, hide, cover her ears. One glance to her leg confirmed that nothing like that was going to happened. Her mismatched eyes flicked back to Goldie, swallowing tightly and looking to her paws. "What is it?" She finally asked, her breathing still ragged, still shaky, on the verge of another asthma attack. Her paws quivered now, blood still dripping from her leg where the stitches had torn a bit. Had she known what happened through rumor, she would have never spoke to Goldie before. Perhaps, looking on from the future, Sam was glad she came here today. The shakiness is what worried her the most. Nervous glances, pulling her closer. Sam knew this wasn't good. She felt just as sick as when Leroy invited the Pittians into their home, the only place that she was safe- besides next to Goldie, here- from them. But even now, she didn't feel very safe. No, she felt very scared. Goldie hardly acted like this when they weren't behind closed doors. But what scared her the most, Sam decided, was the fact that she didn't know. The fear of the unknown, to be or not to be. To sleep, perchance to dream. She cleared her throat. Sam's mismatched eyes raised up towards Goldie spoke, directly into her ear, and some kind of shock fell away. Two months. Pregnant. That word echoed in her mind, then echoed back with the phrases 'gregnant' and 'pregante'. No, focus, no time for joking. She finally blinked after a long, long minute, and Goldie's eyes were already welling with tears, bitter and preparing for Sam to refuse her. Sam's ears might have been flattened to her head, but she knew that Goldie felt so much worse then she did. Especially when she pulled away. Sam inhaled sharply, lurching back forward and pulling Goldie in against herself, one paw reaching up to bring her head down to her neck and tucking her head over Goldie's. "Dummy. If I'm not around, how m' I supposed t' raise the kids?" The decision was sudden, instant. Fast, maybe too fast for Sam. But she wasn't going to live forever. No one had liked her, no loved her before. No one had trusted her as much as this before. And she wasn't going to let go. And then she softened, the jokes slipping away for a moment, her voice lowering just for the tiger betwixt her arms, despite the pain it brought to sit back. "Of course I'm going to stay. But I'm definitely going to have qualms with the.. ehem. Father." She drew back a little bit. Her eyes scanned Goldie's own. "Yeah? Nothin' but me. Promise me tha'." "SPEECH" Re: eternal flame- open, tangler - michael t. - 02-26-2020 Michael wasn't sure what exactly had motivated him towards the railroad tracks that day. Perhaps it was just that he wanted to take a go at exercising his legs, or maybe he was just really eager to see if there was a new joiner around. Really, he hadn't had a reason in place. His paws had just been carrying him, absentmindedly, as he wandered through the territory, head in the clouds. Such was hardly a rare occurrence, but it had been happening more and more often as his injuries healed, since all of the frantic energy pent up in his body from constant resting was urging him forward, eager to get away from the indoors and away from sleeping all the time. However, when the bobcat eventually found himself nearing the railroad tracks as usual, he found a new and strange scent entering his nose. Not the scent of Tanglewood – no, he had become acquainted with that in the past, unfortunately – but rather the scent of blood, dried and slightly old. Lifting his head, the male was snapped from his thoughts, a frown curling upon his muzzle as he padded the last bit of the way forward. There was a bit of hesitation in his limping step, mainly worried that perhaps the dire wolf beast had returned to finish he or Roxie off for good. After all, it wasn't as if there hadn't been plenty of dried blood upon the creature, and whatever this new thing was, it kind of smelled similar. However, when the male finally emerged out to the tracks, he wasn't sure if the scene before him was better or worse than the dire wolf being back. It wasn't as if Goldie and Sam were doing anything incredibly scandalous, really. For all he could see, they were just sharing a loving embrace, which they were totally within their rights to do. However, the moment felt so unnervingly intimate that Michael immediately wanted to recoil away, overwhelmed by the emotions on display. He wasn't a huge fan of grand intimate gestures when they involved him, so he certainly wasn't the type of peeping Tom to cheer on the happy couple. In fact, he heavily considered just turning around and leaving right away so that he wouldn't have to deal with any of the awkward fallout of being here. However, his ever scanning gaze soon picked up on something. The scarring on Sam's leg. That must've been where the smell of dried blood came from. The wound looked fairly fresh, even if she had been patched up, and he found himself frowning sharply at it, somewhat in worry and just the faintest hint of disgust, although he hid it well. Hesitating for a moment, Michael took a deep breath inward before clearing his throat to make himself known, staying half in the treeline so that it was clear he could leave at a moment's notice. Once he had their attention, he spoke softly, "Goldenluxury...? I don't mean to interrupt anythin', but do you want me to get Idyllfields?" He really didn't want to piss off Goldie, since she intimidated the shit out of him, but he thought maybe she'd be more pissed if he didn't at least try to help, in some way.
