luck will travel -- visiting - Warringkingdoms - 02-20-2020

  Well, they'd made it here.

Apples, cherries, freshkill, various herbs, paper and writing utensils, and some other odds and ends were tucked snugly into the basket. It seemed right to bring gifts, considering why she was here. Hopefully she could work out a deal that would help Elysium without inconveniencing the Typhoon, and if she did have to inconvenience them, she could at least repay them for their trouble.

Approaching the end of the railroad tracks, Rin glanced behind her to check that Nemhain was still there, then looked back at the island proper. "Hello, it's Rin," she called aloud, twitching her ears. "Nemhain and I are here to see Idyllfields. We brought gifts, too." She figured that mentioning Nemhain, and thus clarifying that the giant fenghuang was with her and not just some stranger, would limit the amount of shocked and terrified reactions that the members of the Typhoon would experience.

Re: luck will travel -- visiting - nemhain. - 02-21-2020

When Rin had first requested that Nemhain accompany her to The Typhoon, the fenghuang had been... caught off guard. Up until this point, she had never left Elysium before, not wanting to take any risks that could be associated with straying too far from her homeland. Still, she supposed that it made sense that Rin would want her persona to come with her, considering Nemhain represented muscle and safety and emotional support, albeit slightly awkward emotional support. So, she had flown both herself and Rin most of the way here, occasionally resting by just having the two of them walking side by side. The trip had been mostly painless, and now she found herself just looking around curiously, taking in the sights of the Typhoon as she followed after Rin on the train tracks. When they reached the end, she lifted her head up, blinking slowly before she spoke, "...Hello." She said nothing more than that, figuring that it would be unnecessary. Rin had already laid out the necessary information, like a responsible Magna.

Re: luck will travel -- visiting - Warringkingdoms - 02-24-2020

Goldenluxury's approach caught Rin's attention, and she turned to face her with a nod of greeting. It was nice to see a familiar face- less nice was seeing the bloodshot look in Goldie's eyes and the exhaustion in her posture. Her tiredness and the growing weight on her frame were two details that rarely went together, with one major exception... but if Goldie wasn't volunteering the information, it was probably best to leave the matter be.

Meeting Goldie's eyes, Rin listened as she spoke. Hearing that Idyll hadn't been seen recently, she furrowed her brows. She hadn't accounted for the possibility that Idyll might not even be around anymore. If that was the case, then... that could pose an issue.

Mighty kind, Goldie said. Well, it was only fair to bring compensation when you were going to ask a favor, but Rin would get to that in a moment. As for how they'd been, well... that was less pleasant. Blinking, Rin answered, "...Mostly fine. We've had a few encounters with hostile individuals, but they were taken care of in short order." She briefly debating describing what had happened with the Captain, but decided against it. Glancing to the side, she added, "But a few days ago, there was... an incident."

  That's putting it lightly.

"...There were two joiners," she murmured, her ears flattening back. "Er, they seemed like joiners, at least. They didn't get to say much before..." The words, so simple, yet so insistent on clogging her throat with the taste of blood. Her eyes shifted towards the ground, counting the grains of sand. She had to keep it together. It wouldn't do to lose her mind now. She swallowed again, forcing down the bile in her throat.

Finally, she uttered, "They were murdered. Right in front of us."

Shuddering even as the words left her mouth- it probably seemed like she was overly shaken by this, but words couldn't convey all that she had seen- she shook her head. "Something... weird happened to me then," she said, her voice slightly more even as she looked back up at Goldenluxury. "Something that... I was hoping Idyll might know about." She wasn't sure if she should elaborate; she didn't think Goldie would have any use for the details of what had happened to her, but someone else in the Typhoon might.

Clearing her throat, she managed to adopt a neutral expression. "I was also hoping to ask Idyll if they could provide their services as a therapist," she continued, tugging at her scarf. "For myself and some of the other members who witnessed the incident. I'd be happy to provide payment in whatever form the Typhoon would like."

Re: luck will travel -- visiting - nemhain. - 02-25-2020

Goldenluxury didn't look so hot at the moment. Granted, Nemhaun hadn't ever been in the Typhoon before, and all her past experience with Goldie was simply secondhand from Rin's memories, but... a quick cursory glance through things confirmed her suspicions. Goldie wasn't usually like this, with her fur a mess and her eyes bloodshot to such an extent. There were a couple of memories she could find that betrayed Goldie in a somewhat tired state, but never like this. Nemhain felt an odd wave of emotion come over her at the sight, a slight sick feeling bubbling in the fenghuang's chest. It reminded her far too much of Rin, particularly right now, when the magna was struggling to hold it together after the incident that had happened. The persona wondered, vaguely, if all leaders were just like this. Nem could certainly understand the pressures of being leader – probably more than most other normal folks could – but it seemed as though both Rin and Goldie took it to a whole other level. A level that Nem wasn't sure she was glad to see in the eyes of either head. However, the persona just shoved that feeling down deep in her gut as she shifted a little, determined not to let her feelings slip through the cracks and alert Rin to anything. After all, they were here for the magna's benefit, not for her own. No matter how much she longed to crane her neck around and dive into the full extent of the Typhoon territory, an odd feeling of curiosity gripping her. She thought it might've been like a sense of childlike wonder, had she ever had a childhood.

Nem listened closely to what both Goldie and Rin had to say, a faint frown appearing on her beak as Goldie mentioned that Idyll hadn't been around lately. That didn't bode well for them. Sure, they had Playerone around to help with Rin, but she wasn't professionally trained. Not to mention the fact that Player didn't deserve to bear the burdens of everyone that had seen what had happened. Neither did Idyllfields, but at least they could possibly know how to handle it. Nemhain found herself glaring intensely at the ground for a moment in thought, before Goldie's question about how they were doing wrenched her gaze back upwards. She nodded a bit as Rin spoke, waiting until her user was done before she muttered, "As Lady Rin said, things have been... difficult, as of late. It is not exactly an ease on the mind when you see someone brutally killed in front of you. I was spared the sight myself, but Idyll's services would be much appreciated, if they were able to be found.." She glanced from side to side, the gears in her head slowly processing the information around her. There was a sudden moment of realization that hit her before long, and her dark gaze brightened for a moment before she looked back to Goldie, questioning deeply, "In addition to this request... may I ask if perhaps you have had an encounter with the same creature that brought about the chaos within our group? We did not get a good look at it, but you seem as if you have been... searching." It wouldn't surprise the fenghuang if the same savage beast had decided to cause chaos in both The Typhoon and Elysium. After all, from what she could gather from Rin's memories, it wasn't as if the thing had been attacking with true purpose. It was nothing but wild, vicious, untamed death.

Re: luck will travel -- visiting - ROXANNE R. - 02-29-2020

[glow=white,1,400]I LOVE YOU, CANNIBAL QUEEN !。+゚.[/glow]
Next to approach was Roxanne, her curved ears would perked forward. She hardly ever saw any of the other groups but, it was nice seeing them. The draconic jaguar would come to stand beside her niece, a soft breath leaving her maw as she offered a faint smile listening to most of what they were saying. Her smile faltered at the sound of two joiners being killed in front of the group and well, Roxanne couldn't imagine how she'd react if that had happened here on the Typhoon border. She knew this creature, they were not unfamiliar to her, especially since she had quite the experience with it. She was lucky to have even survived, had it not been for Michael well, she wouldn't be here now nor would her unborn cubs. Roxanne found her voice nodding to both Rin and Nem "Hello there. I'm Roxanne, a privateer here in the Typhoon. It's a pleasure to meet the both of you." There was a bit of a pause before she would continue with an uneasy smile "As for the creature you speak of... I've gotten a good glimpse of them. They attacked me but I've managed to deal it some damage in return, I survived thankfully... To a crewmate of mine."  She was still mad that Michael had thrown himself knowing the possibility of being killed yet, the maternal bit of her mind was grateful. Her cubs were safe. Re: luck will travel -- visiting - Warringkingdoms - 03-05-2020

As Nemhain asked if the Typhoon had a similar encounter, Rin found herself nodding along. If this was anything like the "Anti" incident, it probably wasn't just Elysium that had been hit by the creature. The killer hadn't smelled of any group, not even the Pitt, so perhaps it had struck all four of them.

At Roxanne's approach, Rin turned to her and dipped her head in greeting. She furrowed her brows as she looked over the injuries on the other's form, a frown settling on her face as Roxanne confirmed that she had been attacked by the same creature. It was good to hear that she was able to injure the attacker in turn, but even a wounded animal was dangerous.

Turning back to Goldenluxury as she spoke, Rin twitched her ears. It made sense that having trained Idyll, Goldie would have some knowledge of psychology- even if it was only "good advice," as Goldie put it, it would be better than nothing. It was probably alright for them to come here for her services, even if that meant appointments would have to be less frequent than Rin had hoped; any help was appreciated. Hearing that she intended to hunt down the creature herself brought Rin's attention back to the added weight on her form, but Rin quickly returned her gaze back to Goldie's face. They'd figure out payment later, she said. That was fine.

"Alright," Rin said finally, with a nod. "I think we'll be visiting Tanglewood, too, just to see if they've had any attacks from the same creature." Tugging at her scarf, she added, "I appreciate your offer. If it's alright with you, I can bring the other two witnesses here sometime in the next few weeks, and we can talk about payment then?"
