seeing double / warringkingdoms - Alastor - 02-11-2020

Gloom reigned over the sky as purple hues of dusk vastly spread over Elysium’s mountains. The air was still. No animal could sneak through the underbrush without hearing the crackle of the ground breaking underneath their feet. Yet a Doberman Pinscher was testing that theory. As he sauntered through the sea town’s sea shell ridden sand, the canine found himself drifting towards a stand out house. Imprints in the sand lead up to its sand-ridden deck, Alastor following closely in his fellow clanmate’s pawsteps. He continued on towards the house, phrasing what he was going to say in his head as he did so. Eventually, the masterful canine found himself content as he reached the deck. No controlling demands today.

For a moment, he paused at the door. Purple eyes grazed over the area around him, inspecting for any audience. With no one to be found, Alastor proceeded forward and lightly pushed the door open. A sheer creak rang out. ”Hello?” he followed with. Finding no response quick enough, he moved further into the home, eyeing all of Warringkingdom’s novelties and trinkets. It was not long before he heard rustling from afar though.

[font=trebuchet ms]Rin rarely retired to her quarters this early, but she was rarely this exhausted, either. She had a lot to do tomorrow, besides. Between preparing the next meeting and planning her visit to the Typhoon, plus seeking out research materials in the library, she wouldn't accomplish much if she went without sleep tonight.

Walking through the doorway, she casually pushed the door behind her, but didn't check to make sure it was shut. She had to check something first, then she would close and lock the door. Heading towards her bedroom, she went in and glanced around. Now, where had she put that basket-

The sound of creaking behind her snapped her to attention, and she spiraled, yanking an arrow out of her quiver. Whoever had intruded on her would have another thing coming. Stalking towards the door, she cautiously peered out of the doorway- and released a breath upon seeing Alastor there. Placing her arrow back into the quiver, she brushed past the doorway and approached him.

"I'd thank you to knock first," she said, narrowing her eyes. Following his gaze over to a seashell necklace hanging off of the shelf, she subconsciously moved forwards to block his view. These particular objects weren't exactly hidden, but considering she hadn't given him permission to come in, there was something... almost invasive about having him peeking in on her possessions.

With a sigh, she added, "What did you need?"

A glint of silver met his eye, watching as it's alluring point wandered around the corner. The sharp arrow soon pulled away. From the doorway, Warringkingdoms emerged with a huff. Her tone was dripping in uninterested sarcasm. Alastor merely remained still. He did not manage to challenge her authority, but instead dipped his head out of respect, even if he just had a weapon pointed at him.

As she shifted to the side to block the seashell upon the shelf, purple eyes merely turned away. Instead his gaze turned towards Warringkingdom's own. Even with her dismay, Alastor gathered himself together. "Merely introducing myself formally," the canine reminisced. "We haven't necessarily talked." His head craned off to the side, ears gracefully tilting.

Despite not being welcomed in directly, the Doberman Pinscher walked into her home further. "The name's Alastor, as you may know," he continued with. "It's a pleasure to be with you today, Warringkingdoms." A nonchalant smirk appeared upon his maw. For a moment, his eyes wandered back to the environment around them. What did the leader have hidden in here? Obviously, they were defensive over the seashell necklace. Nevertheless, he eventually found himself wandering off.

Refocusing himself, the dark being moved along. "How are you today?" There was no mention of an apology for his intrusion.

[font=trebuchet ms]Introducing himself formally, he said, even as his gaze wandered. Before Rin could say anything else, he was already going deeper inside- a smirk appearing on his face. Did he know? He had to know, otherwise he wouldn't be smiling. She had to get him out of here.

Striding forward, she attempted to stand in front of Alastor's path. If he'd just asked first, or even apologized for coming in and looking around without asking, she wouldn't be so on edge, but the way he smiled even as he nosed around in her belongings... she had to force herself to stay stoic. Maybe he was just a nosy individual, but she thought she could see brief flickers of blonde on his fur and green in his eyes, and she couldn't just ignore that.

Adopting a neutral expression, Rin said, "If you want to talk, I'd prefer to do it outside." Glancing over her shoulder at the thin layers of dust on the shelves and certain areas of the floor, she continued, "I still need to dust the house, and I'm getting things together for my visit to the Typhoon." With that, she would attempt to usher him towards the front door- if he allowed her to do so, she would escort him out to the porch and close the door behind them.

Why was she so uncomfortable? It didn't make any sense. But something about allowing this person, who had intruded without permission and showed little regard for personal boundaries, to poke around in her home... it made her irrationally uncomfortable.
