LITTLE BIRD / rosemary - ROXANNE R. - 02-07-2020 [glow=white,1,400]I LOVE YOU, CANNIBAL QUEEN ! — 。+゚.[/glow]
Roxanne moved throughout her home with both ears perked forward, she honestly loved it a lot more than her old hut, which was rather small for her growing son and herself along with her boyfriend who had moved in with them after Roxanne had asked him. She knew how lonely it got in his old room and well, she loved being near him and enjoyed his touch as well as company. Roxie had been busy with the preparations of Roan's birthday though she had managed to finish just in time, a smile on her maw feeling rather proud with herself. Her mind not set on a single thought, she moved through her kitchen picking up one of the macaroons from the potluck did she stop holding it near her maw. Rosemary. She had seen her at the potluck, well, she wasn't busy at the time so she figured that she could visit the mutated feline especially since it had been quite some time since they had last seen other. They had much to catch up on, her whiskers twitched, she would gather the rest of the macaroons into a small basket figuring that they would go nicely with a cup of tea. Rosemary loved tea, she had brought several kinds of teas to the potluck, Roxie just hoped that she had a small liking to sweets or it would backfire on her. She took the handle into her jaws rather gently, she would make her out of her house glancing back towards it for only a moment, Lorelei already following behind her. Whenever Kalayavan or Brunhild weren't behind her, it was usually the small tegu who tagged along. Said tegu usually clambered onto Roxanne's back but unfortunately for the spoiled lizard, she was growing much too big for that. Then again, Roxanne was quite small compared to all her clanmates. The downside of being the runt of the litter. It didn't take long for Roxanne and Lorelei to arrive at the mutated ocelots home, her ears curved forward as the slightly plump draconic feline took a few steps forward. She set the basket down letting her forked tongue swipe across her lips, her wings draped neatly to her sides before she would open her mouth a bit deciding to announce her presence rather than barging in "Rosemary? It's Roxanne," Even if the other feline was rather reclusive in comparison to herself, Roxie wanted to be there for her sister especially when Rosemary had always been there for her. Or lent an ear to listen to Rox's growing boy trouble back in the day, the thought made her snort briefly. She picked up the basket once more deciding to step inside, it didn't take long for her mismatched gaze to fixate itself onto the four eyed feline. She seriously hoped she wasn't intruding on something important, once more the basket was set down and well, Lorelei proceeded to make herself at home finding something close by to lay on. Roxanne would mew with a rather sheepish smile "I hope ya like sweets... I thought they'd go nicely with tea, the macaroons anyways," There was a pause as her paws would shuffle a bit adding quickly "Unless, you're busy right now then I can come back another time. I don't wanna bother ya y'know, " She mused with a brief lash of her fluffy tail, her eyes briefly betraying her as she glanced around Rosemary's home. Lovely. Too many emotions swirled around her head, crowded with thoughts. Her mind became as small as a mason jar, and she worried the lid might shoot off this time. So she lit a candle, muttering under her breath the entire time. The mutated ocelot enjoyed her solitude, in many ways, but she knew the isolation caused plenty of the noise inside her own mind. She managed to stifle the leaping emotion with meditation, but it wasn’t the solution she wanted. Rosemary grew up in a witch coven with her feminine relatives – most, like her, mastered their magic as well as anyone could master running or climbing. With Solvieg and, later, Jiyu, the witch formed a mental connection with the other women in a similar way to the bonds that tied her coven together. And it worked. Less alone, with someone she shared emotions with, the woman became more herself. To stay trapped inside her own head, with nobody else to share emotions with… she wilted mentally. Just as she wilted physically when she thought she could ignore the sea and live in the desert for several months. With a sigh, she settled to fix her gaze upon the flickering flame. The focus paradoxically made the meditation easier and harder, providing a point for the wandering mind to return to. Yet she hadn’t been five minute into it, her mind squirming restlessly the more she tried to tame it, when the knock came from her door. Who? The treehouse, out of the way and rarely visited by anyone, offered a solitary refuge. Now that Rosemary carried no responsibilities on her shoulders, nobody interrupted her. Nobody thought to interrupt her. Wincing, she rubbed the side of her face with a paw, and undid the latch with her telekinesis, and the heavy door swung open. Inside the treehouse, creeper vines and assorted potted plants basked in the sunlight. Tin jars of herbs and teas formed little piles on one desk, next to drying rows of plants. “Roxie? That’s… really thoughtful, thank you,” she said, looking up from the candle. Recognition flashed across her face when she saw the tegu; she remembered that little guy, how she bartered for the egg and Roxie hatched it. “You’re not interrupting much, I was just meditating,” she said, the lie slipping through her teeth. She found it almost impossible to just crack open and throw her feelings out into the world. Why did she have to be like this? “Well, I mean… my mind’s been cluttered recently. For months, really, since my girlfriend disappeared. Ah, ex-girlfriend, I guess.” Too many feelings. Jiyu loved her, hadn’t she? Of course she did, Rosemary knew that. She felt Jiyu’s love for her, held it in her mind and basked in the pink aura of her girlfriend. If she had to make the stupid decision to join the Rosebloods to gain a wonderful partner, she couldn’t see anything wrong with that. But how Jiyu disappeared… everything fell apart. The ocelot’s forked tail tips flicked. Her amber eyes, all four of them, focused back on the flickering candle. Loss. Self-loathing. Familial love. Regret. Too many feelings swam in her damn head. She rubbed her muzzle with the back of a paw, shaking her head. waded through the spirits like a flood on the floor SHE PUSHED THE WATER INSIDE Re: LITTLE BIRD / rosemary - ROXANNE R. - 02-11-2020 [glow=white,1,400]I LOVE YOU, CANNIBAL QUEEN ! — 。+゚.[/glow]
Her nose twitched at the smell of a candle wax, her ears flicking back as she made eye contact briefly with her sister, of course, only one pair of eyes would look back at her. She couldn't help but frown at bit at the lie that would slip from her sister, Roxie could've left and she was tempted to do so until Rosemary spoke once more about her mind being cluttered due to the disappearance of a significant other. Roxanne would stand there for a moment remembering when Rosemary and Vandal had been there whenever Roxie had any boy troubles which was frequent back when she was younger. Dumber. Now, she could think with a clear mind since everything seemed to be falling into place in her life. She knew it was high time that she should be there for her sister, her whiskers twitched as a soft smile appeared onto her maw. Love did such fantastic and horrible things to a person, the feeling was absolutely amazing. Blissful even but when it all began to crumble slowly, it hurt so much. Roxanne had her experiences from it, most having stung, only two causing her to feel like she was walking on clouds yet only one came back to finally reciprocate her feelings. And that had been fine with her, for they had been the one to catch her attention to begin with. She couldn't imagine herself being in a relationship with two people and she was sure that it wouldn't ever happen especially since her boyfriend was greedy, the more ironic bit being that his name was Greed too. She in a way knew that she was greedy and would grow envious, so, Roxanne was happy being able to give all her love to a singular being. Even if she did obtain crushes rather easily, she pushed those thoughts away as she would take a few hesitant steps forward with a faint smile on her maw, she would take a seat next to her sister. She would attempt to wrap her tail around the larger femme as she would glance down at the candle only to find words to say at last to her sister "I'm sorry to hear that, Rose. Who knows... Maybe she'll come back some day," Roxanne was a hopeless romantic and well, she believed that maybe there was a chance her sister's girlfriend would return. Fuck Greed had returned from who knows where and now they were together. Happy together. "I know it sounds dumb and I might be a little hopeful, which I am for the most part... But I seriously didn't think I'd end up dating anyone this year or let alone it being the person I fell in love with at first... We hadn't seen each other in months though, it felt like love at first sight all over again." She'd mew with her smile briefly faltering, she would nudge her gently as she would add with a light shake of her cranium "But know this, I'll always be here for you. You're my sister, if you wanna get something off your chest or mind, I'm here. I'm here for you, Rosemary, because I love you so much."[glow=COLOR,1,400] ━ ✧*:・゚[/glow] |
