echoing lands // private, Malak - Cosmic - 02-04-2020

The day was surprisingly quiet, and it bothered the small hybrid as he strolled along the territory. There wasn’t anyone to greet at this moment in time, no battles or any of his siblings around this late to play with. Needless to say, the little prince was becoming bored, and boredom was not a good thing for him. He didn’t exactly respond well to it, and made it a goal to find something to do away from the nest.

So, he used his sneakiness to slink past his sleeping parents and escape the cave, giggling lightly with happiness as soon as he was out of hearing range of them. He didn’t want to be super loud with his success, so he tried to remain as quiet as possible while he was out.

He might not be alone tonight, and yes it may have been risky, but he wanted to freely move around a little. What prince would he be without having a little experience under his belt? And what fun would it be if he kept on being a goody-two-shoes constantly? He could get a little carried away sometimes, but wasn’t that natural? He wanted to be natural! Normal! Like any other child.

He didn’t stray too far into the territory, and heeded the warnings of both the creatures living in Alithis Evgenis, and Bai Shi’s about certain places to not visit until he was older. He wasn’t stupid. He just wanted a late night opportunity. Not to mention, but it also gave him time to self-reflect better in the silence.

He sat down by a puddle at some point, dipping his paw in the water, ears and eyes open for any signs of danger or a sneak attack, should anyone be daring enough to try.

[div style="margin: auto; max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; color: #000000; padding: 8px; font-family: Courier;"] Malak had been perched in a fir tree, it was a bit too cold for him today and the fir from the branches of the tree provided just enough warmth for him to sit comfortably through his nap. Small foot steps and a giggle was enough to force his eyes open. Malak stretched his wings out before he flung himself into the air, with a subtle coo he flapped his black wings.

The corvid cawed, the silent air making it much louder than it was. He looked down at the moving figure, it was small but it moved quite fast. The bird folded his wings in; dropped a little and was a tad bit closer to the figure. He got a good view of whom it was. The Prince! He fluttered down to the small boy whom was sitting by one of many small puddles. "Little Prince, Little Prince what are you doing," he cooed. "Shouldn't you be with your parents?"

Crap, he had been caught! It wasn’t like he was trying that hard to sneak away anyways, but it still could spell trouble for him if Malak told Bai Shi. He didn’t hold anything agains the crow, he was just worried about being caught and scolded.

I wanted to see the territory for myself. I wanted to see what lies beyond the cave and camp.” He was being truthful. He didn’t feel like he needed to lie to the corvid, and it looked as though he was worried about him.

In that case, “Why don’t you tag along maybe? You can be my eyes and ears if I miss a threat or something. You don’t appear to be one to miss the little things.” He was restless, but if Malak was willing to accompany him on his little outing, then his curiosity would be satisfied.

(Sorry for the wait! Had a lot going on lately.)
