immortals [★] herbal lesson - aine. - 02-01-2020 I'll come back when you call me Teaching. Hard to say if the petite vixen felt inclined to the practice. Given her age, it could hardly be expected to matter to her. But Aine felt self-conscious when too many eyes looked at her. She didn't like to speak loudly, though she had more than proven in the past she could. But Kydobi had asked her to do this, so she would.Aine took care with the herbs she chose. Just a few, freshly-grown herbs used for basic first aid. Each plant, she had set gently atop a large leaf, to avoid touching the ground directly. Aligned in a very neat line with a critical eye. Horsetail. Marigold. Chamomile. Bindweed. Poppy seeds. Aloe vera. Thyme. She rocked on her paws a little. Set up complete. Okay. Her mouth felt a little dry. Chest tight. But she could do this. "Hey!" Again, her ears flicked down. Maybe she ought to tone down a little. "'m teaching herbs!" Better. — aine | the pitt | commodore of the crows | fae druid — Re: immortals [★] herbal lesson - fulzanin - 02-03-2020 decisions to decisions are made and not bought The dragon was, technically, omnivorous. Jagged teeth allowed for him the ability to rip and tear into flesh. Allowed did not mean used. Spare one time where he had eaten a small bird, the dragon's metabolism had never been used in the fullest extent of his omnivorous body. Most of what Astiar ingested was plant matter. He had chewed down countless trees before the jungle had been burned down. Now? Now he struggled with eating whatever plants he could find. His mandibles and the end of his hard maw allowed for him to rip up grass and weeds and whatever else he could find. Common was it for the massive and lumbering beast to be starving - or at least deep within the depths of severe hunger. He would leave the territory in search of food, only to return and be hungry again. Small herbs weren't exactly enough to really catch the cicada's eye. However, the call attracted his attention. Buzzing noises sounded and noted his arrival as he pivoted to come over. He lowered his head a little and chittered out a greeting of nonsensical noise. Slowly Astiar lowered himself into an odd sitting position. Curious he was, antennae curling above his head. Another chittering noise. Were the plants that he saw food, the herbs laid out cleanly on leaves? He lowered his head a little, sniffing in an experimental manner. Hunger, he was hungry, but these plants were a little too small to really incur his hunger-driven interest. The lanky tail of the dragon curled behind him, and the clicking of his mandibles made his curiosity audible. Astiar's buzzing died down to almost silent. He was never completely silent, but it certainly was better than the monstrous noise that he commonly portrayed when he was wandering around or eating. control yourself and take only what you need from it TAGS 9/4/19: Re: immortals [★] herbal lesson - gael - 02-07-2020 ♛ GAEL Ó BROIN With a softness in his gaze belonging only to his daughter, the vulpine padded forward. Pleasantly surprised by Astiar's unusual quiet buzzing, the faerie felt his eyes blink as he took a seat. He offered Aine a gentle smile and reassuring nod.The herbs laid in front of her fell into first aid categories -- a perfect starting lesson for those new or not inclined to healing. Gael trusted her knowledge of each as well, due to his emphasis on mastering first aid during their lessons; he possessed no doubt she would do him proud. It wasn't as if she would be helping anyone else out with them, so there was no point in knowing them to a full extent, right?Thoughts ran through Sweeney's head as she tried to decide what to do when she heard the call, and decided it would be best for her to go to this training session, and just keep quiet. She didn't care for those there at the moment, didn't know them, and just hoped that they'd leave her alone and let her learn in peace. Sweeney knew that she'd need medical knowledge at some point in her life - if there had been someone that knew medicine when Jervis had died, he wouldn't have died right? She needed to protect herself and her sisters - so she'd sit towards the back, close enough to be within earshot, but far enough away so it was obvious she didn't want to be talked to. CAUSTIC Whether Caustic had made himself present by a quest for knowledge or necessity was questionable. He didn't really want to learn about herbs, their medicine had been so advanced that it brought Legends back from the dead and put their consciousness into new bodies. Med kits and shield batteries allowed for fast healing on the battle field. Herbs was the most basic form of medicine, and Caustic knew healing would take forever. He came to the grouping, taking a seat in the back to watch over the shoulders of others wordlessly. Her lips quirked a little though, as her father nodded. She took a soft but deep breath, hazel hues flickering between each face thoughtfully, blinking at Mercede. "'m gonna... Gonna talk about some first aid.""Really... Simple. But important." It was what her father started with because it was so essential. This she knew, her confidence slowly building. "Th-these are horsetail and marigold--" she tapped the two gently -- "they're easy because... 'Cause they do the same thin'." Which meant, even if someone mixed them up, they would still succeed in their goal. "If you've been... Been cut or somethin' and you're... You're bleedin', they help stop that 'an fight... Fight off infection -- you don' want infection." "… Make sense?" She rocked on her paws, hopeful. She didn't want to rush. Even if her heart felt a little rushed. — aine | the pitt | commodore of the crows | fae druid — Re: immortals [★] herbal lesson - CAUSTIC. - 02-20-2020

CAUSTIC Caustic could feel his face scrunch up, lip pulling up and gas leaking in a fine trail of smoke from between his teeth. It was boring. Useful information to them, sure, but Caustic didn't want to trouble himself with these things. Herbs was so far removed from any medicine Caustic had ever bothered to learn. Nevertheless, he was stuck here, and it was something to do. "Where could I find these?"

|
