claws flexing, the great dragon growled deeply in pleasure, the sun warming their long scaled body, cream fur tufts and mane drifting in the slight breeze, resting on a hillside as they listened to the happenings around them. resting before them on a series of old woven blankets was a great feast, picnic-styled of course. they had promised a feast in celebration of the founding of the group. there were invitations already sent out, all of the main groups were invited to the feast and the new years celebrations. today would be the feast as well as a meet and greet for the group, perhaps even a small competition between everyone for some fun. soon enough, after some ambition was shown, would the jaguar hold a meeting for those in the group, welcoming them each and individually to the group.

the scent of freshly cooked meats and greens filled their nose, punctured by the scent of sweet and bitter fruit juices, wines to the side for the matured members. dumplings, one of their favorites, as well as many other delicious foods, they were silent, humming softly.

With a loud caw, a signal that was a mere greeting to anyone that had been on the ground, the corvid landed on a small part of the table that nobody was using, the white noise of chatter humming in his ears. 

Malak picked off a few berries from their stems that had been laying in a bowl, the were quite delicious and he thoroughly enjoyed them. But, just like everyone else, he could't eat just one thing. So he moved on to a little bit of the dumplings, scooping one into a bowl and flapping away. Malak sat in a comfy dent in a near by tree and ate the dumpling. It was delicious to say the least, the corvid set his bowl down and flapped over to the side lines of the crowed. The bird still wanted to be a Practitioner, and by Nephthys he was going to be one before the end of tonight.

REDVOX "VINNY" ABRAMO - cis male - goat-bat hybrid - harbinger

A feast. The prospect of such a thing was especially appealing to Redvox, the leader of the Halls having recently been worried about their stock of food. They were still doing alright, and he had somewhat found a way to deal with that little problem, but it did mean he had pretty much been doing nothing but eating fish as of late. However, judging by the absolute mess of smells that hit him when he approached the picnic styled feast, he could tell that this would be far from just fish. That put a bit of pep in his step, the hybrid making his way over and settling down near one of the large blankets. His tired muscles – from constant running around and dealing with harbinger matters – were grateful for the chance to sit and relax, and Vinny greeted Bai Shi from a distance, waving a wing as he waited for everything to properly begin. He had heard there was also going to be a meet and greet wrapped up in this particular event, and figured he would introduce himself to everyone properly once that began.

hearing malak's wings, they greeted him with an uttered rumble in response, head turning as they heard one of their children calling out to them. shifting their body to slightly curl up, the dragon purred, moving to let leoku close to their body, "hello my son" they rumbled, licking his head and smoothing down his fur. nuzzling him warmly, they hummed, "give it time my dear, give it time. travel takes time, and we aren't that big yet." they explain.

scenting and hearing vinny, they bowed their head in greeting, exhaling warmly that there was indeed a visitor there. "leoku, you see the fellow over there? he's one of our friends and neighbors. the first one to arrive, malak, is our groupmate.", they tell their son and stretch their jaws into a yawn as they get to their feet. "everyone, feel free to grab food, there's more than enough for everyone." they announced, indicating the feast. after everyone had eaten their fill, they would start the meet and greet
